Offsite - TTC to MK gates

We were there a couple weeks ago and didn't make ripe drop. (My mom flipped her scooter in the parking lot, had to bandage her up) We were probably 20 minutes after rope drop. Headed straight to 7D and waited maybe 20 minutes.

Forgot to say we had to take the ferry. No monorail that early.

We stay off site. In my limited experience, the time required depends on whether or not the Monorails are running. When we went to MK last March, we had planned to be there at RD. However, the Monorails were down and no buses were available. Everyone was directed to take the ferries, and that caused a huge bottleneck. From the time we locked the car to the time we hit the tapstyles was about 90 minutes.

The second MK day, the Monorails were running but had lines that extended down the stairs to the "ground floor" of the TTC. We took the ferry, and got to MK much more quickly than the day before. I didn't time it, but it was very quickly.

What about parking lot arrival time for 7:00 EMH (on 11/11)? We are going to Peter Pan, not 7DMT.

This is a tricky one. Disney assumes all resort guests will not be driving to the parks so transportation from TTC to MK is not a top priority on EMH mornings. They focus on getting the buses to the resorts to pick up guests. It bums me out because we like to drive from our onsite resort.

What about guests at Polynesian? I can get to wherever they can from the TTC parking lot

You know, there IS another option too . . . . if you are driving, you don't HAVE to park at the TTC . . . . you could pay the few extra bucks to valet part at the Contemporary, then walk over to the park. It will only take you about 10 to 15 minutes to get to the park. You skip over the whole process of getting a tram, or walking from your car to the TTC, and then taking either a bus (if they are being offered that day), monorail, or ferry to the park, so it takes a significant amount of travel time out of the equation. You can literally be at the park entrance 20 minutes after you drop your car at the valet.

How tight is security at the Contemporary? I've read that they don't really like people parking at the resorts and then going to the parks. We're going the week before Easter 2017 (one of the busiest weeks of the year), so I'm worried the parking attendant may not less us in. We do have a Brunch ADR at Chef Mickey's for 11:30 am, but if we get to the Contemporary early (7 am for an 8 am RD), will that look suspicious?

I actually thought if we drove to TTC for EMH from Caribbean Beach and we were too early for transportation at TTC we could park at TTC and then walk to Poly, then take a bus from there to MK. It seems like it's hard to rely on monorail transportation for AM EMH.

AM EMH is a very different situation at TTC.
If you are eligible for AM EMH, it is much better to avoid trying to take the MK Express monorail or a Ferry that morning.

I will check the times guide our week to see how early the resort monorail runs. If not open yet I think we just might bus it over from cbr.

You're not supposed to park in the guest parking at a resort in order to go to the parks - valet shouldn't be a problem.

I don't know if there may be different enforcement in place for super busy times. I always visit in August, and just telling the guard that I was going to use Valet to park, and go look around was more than enough for him to let me in. They will NOT let you just self park and go to the park, that is a no no, but in my experience, as long as you are Valet parking, they couldn't care less. It puts money in their pocket, they are happy, simple as that.

I believe it's $25, plus you should also tip.
