Can you recommend a hotel off site that may have complimentary bfast and still be within walking distance to disney.

Candy Cane Inn has a "better than most" continental breakfast, is within walking distance, but also provides a dedicated shuttle. It is highly rated here on the Dis as well as tripadvisor.

There are a few but many will put in their 2 cents on items offered.

I've had BWPPI breakfast: boiled eggs, doughnuts, begals & sweet rolls, cereal, milk, juice & coffee.

RI Maingate: Hot breakfast, sausage, eggs, bacon, cerals, milk, juice, toast, etc.

La Quinta Suites

The breakfast was not great - bagels, cereal, pancakes, fruit, yogurt, etc. We ended up eating granola bars in our room becuase we weren't impressed with it.

The suites were nice. It was great to have a separate place to put the kiddos and get to stay up and watch TV. I liked the covered and heated pool.

We stayed at the Homewood Inn and Suites in Garden Grove, accross from the Target. They BEST breakfast around. Waffles, eggs, toast, bagels, cereal, you name it. Plus they give you dinner Mon to Thurs. We saved a bundle on eating out and we didn't have a bad meal. Put it this way, had to go and buy a waffle maker when I got home because I missed having fresh waffles every morning.

Another vote for the Candy Cane. Its nice having the breakfast as it saves time getting to the parks in the morning.

BWPPI is right across the street from the pedestrian entrance and they have a nice continental breakfast IMO. Last year they added biscuits and gravy and they again had 4 types of cold cereal, oatmeal, bagels, toast, couple types of danishes, whole fruit (usually apples, oranges, bananas) and hard boiled eggs. Coffee, milk, juice, cant remember if they have tea.

Their breakfast is served next door, upstairs at the Captain Kidds restaurant. You'll read horrible reviews of Captain Kidds food but the free breakfast for the motel that is served upstairs is fine. I wouldn't buy their hot breakfast downstairs though.

Embassy Suites on Harbor has a very fine breakfast. Eggs, waffles, pancakes, toast, bagels, fruit, etc. The only drawback is that you have to take the Anaheim resort transit to get to and from the park. It is "only" two blocks from the corner of Katella and Harbor, but those are two VERY long blocks. I walked it once and won't do it again.

The Tropicana across the street from the main entrance to Disneyland has a very meager breakfast. Hardly worth calling it that. Don't be deceived by their claims.
