Can anyone recommend a hotel within walking distance (ideally less than 15 minutes) of DL with interior corridors? I'm planning a trip to DL with my mom, and she needs to stay in a hotel with interior corridors to feel safe, but I'm having trouble telling what kind of corridors there are from online photos/reviews. Last year we stayed at DLH, which was an awesome splurge, but too expensive for an annual trip, at least as a poor grad student, lol.

HoJo. About 7 mins walking distance, big, comfortable rooms, free parking, good onsite shop to get breakfast etc. Most safe feeling rooms would be in building 1 I think (the low rise buildings tend to keep outside doors open all day).

HoJo is very nice, with inside corridors. It's up on the corner of Harbor and Manchester. About an 8-10 minute walk, feels very safe.

It depends a little on what you consider walking distance but HoJo, Courtyard and the Holiday Inn Express all have interior corridors, are pretty close and span a range of prices.

Howard Johnson Building 1 is great. It’s clean, newly renovated, and within walking distance, inside hallways, little shop in the lobby of the building. Panera Bread across the road (great for grabbing coffee and breakfast).

Hotel Indigo is about 10-15 minutes away (depending on how fast you walk) and usually had very good prices. We like the "wood" floors and walk in showers. They offer free parking too.

We like to stay at Homewood Suites, it’s a close walk to the Toy Story lot if you want to save your feet a bit or all the way to the parks is about 15 min. DoubleTree Suites is also another option we like, it’s a little further, about 20 min walk.

Residence Inn on Harbor and Katella has indoor hallways and is very nice with a GREAT breakfast. Bit more of a walk than HoJO or Courtyard (my fave)

Good suggestion so far, just outside of your 15 minute window you have the Sheraton Park Hotel, Hilton & Marriott. You also have the SpringHill Suites & Residence Inn right next to each other all near the corner of Katella and Harbor.

I’d seriously look at courtyard by Marriott theme park entrance. We usually stay at homewood suites but it’s 20 min. I bet spring hill suites is less than 15.

Another close-by hotel with interior hallways is Desert Palms Hotel and Suites (not to be confused with Desert Hotel). It’s located on Katella, at Harbor..right next door to 7-11. It’s about 10-15 min walk depending on how fast you walk. We stayed there a couple years ago and liked it.

I like the hotels at the Convention Center myself....although with the construction going on right now, it's not quite as nice to walk

As much as I loved staying at the Sheraton, it absolutely killed my legs and feet having to walk back and forth from the parks for 5 days after walking for 12-13+ hours. I wouldn't recommend staying there simply because of the distance, but it is a really nice hotel with interior halls.

I'll also vouch for Courtyard Marriott Theme Park Entrance. Never stayed at the Hojo but hear good reviews and it's under a 10 minute walk. I'd check out SpringHill Suites, too, though it can get pricy (as can Courtyard). I've always enjoyed staying at the Holiday Inn as well. Never had any issues in any location.

This will all depend on what the OP defines as "walking distance." We stay at the Sheraton Park often (just stayed there for D23 Expo) and don't find the walk to the parks to be far at all. For us, it's a perfect warm up in the morning and cool down at the end of the day -- about 15+ minutes each way, depending on the signal at Katella. We do see many guests crossing Harbor to take the free Toy Story shuttles -- so there's that option, too.

I love that walk in the morning and evenings too. It's the perfect way to get amped up in the morning and the perfect cool down and relax moments at the end of the night so I find I can actually fall asleep quickly - the motels closer leave me too amped up to sleep for much too long after we're back in the room especially since we're open to close park goers who don't take afternoon breaks and usually travel in the summer with peak time hours.

And... the walk goes right by several convenience stores so we can pick up snacks and drinks for the room and/or for the next day at the parks. The walk just works out really well!
