Okay This might be posted somewhere else but I couldn't find it.

I have been reading in wedding guides that one should:

A. tip the officiant- how much? I know if it is a local clergy you can make a
donation to the house of worship but at disney where you
are paying for the service how does this work?

B. Invite officiant and spouse to rehearsal dinner

C. "" '' "" to reception?

Any opinions on this? What did you all do? I need to figure this out for budget reasons so any help would be greatly appreciated!

P.S. We are hoping to use Rev Day

We used Rev. Day. He was wonderful. I believe DH tipped him, but I don't know how much. He had another wedding after ours, so inviting him to our dinner wouldn't have worked. You might check his schedule...he's very busy. We were told (3 yrs ago) that he performs the largest number of ceremonies in FL...don't know how acurrate that is, but we were married on a Sunday and he still had another to get to after ours.

Ive thought quite a bit about this and have decided that we shall be buying our officiant a small gift. To me it just doesnt feel right to tip him..but that's just my opinion and I know that what lots of people do.

I know I sort of feel the same way...especially since you are payng him...but what would you get him?

I was going to go and have a look at the shop at our cathedral and hopefully find something from there. That's still on my 'to do' list!

I know it was a big deal when we had our FTW that Rev. Jack wanted a photo of us for his collection. Maybe send that in a thank you note? If you want something beyond that perhaps include a gift card to a restaurant chain with locations around Orlando?
