This is giving me the hibby-jibbys. Bad room locations scare me.
Old Key West is my story. Rented points - got a room RIGHT at the main road. The noise was unbelievable - no way we could have gotten any sleep. They moved us but we had to pay $25. They don't move you for free like they do in the regular rooms.
Once at the Polynesian they were working on the quiet pool near Tokelau. We loved the view and the location but the noise was unbelievable. We asked to be moved and they took care of us - put us on the other side of the building and we didn't hear a thing.

But I understand were you would get tired of that fast..
This area is across the main road from the rest of the resort, even. Totally near nothing. My room was very close to the bus stop in Trinidad South, though (not that it helped me like the area better). When I checked in at CBR, I asked for anything but Trinidad South - nope. Got Trinidad South.
I was on a solo trip and being in isolation from the rest of humanity wasn't what I had in mind. I drove to the food court since it was such a hike. Yikes!
