Might be a bit old thread, but about 3 days ago another person fell under VMK's banning power because of the same reason. "Hacking". This is getting ridiculous, he only had 2 cars on his inventory. And besides that, I'm trying to contain myself from answering anything at any forum I'm member at. You can say the simple truth, but there's always people who will try to get around it, to make you look like a bad person and later, from something someone took wrong, bad rumors are spread and the cases get worse, so I will just state 1 thing. There's just 1 thing that goes around my head and I can't find a solution for:
A staff member once told me hacking is penalized with a permanent ban, but all of the recently banned people, including myself, particularly for the car seat, were banned for 30 days.
The only possible explanation I can find to this, is that maybe they did know the bug could have happened, but having spread the car, ruined their money incomes from promoting everest, as they would have a bunch of people waiting for episode 1, 2 and 3 (and cars were supposed to be prizes of episode 2 or 3). So, to stop their marketing from being cut, they banned the people who were spreading it. It's not fair, but it's a logical reason. They will surely prefer $$$ than 3 users, from which 1, can hardly ever gives them an income, as he lives too far to visit the parks, and the other 2, don't visit the parks very often.

Karo was banned for hacking (although only for one month, and a hacking ban is supposed to be lifetime). Rumors are that anyone with these cars will be banned, but who knows if that is true. All I know (as I learned last night when I got traded one...not from Karo...) is to not take them, and if someone tries to trade you one tell them they will get banned unless they sell it. Heck, it's 50 credits. It was a misunderstanding, a bug that VMK just assumed was hacking, because they seem to think that bugs don't really exist and the only ones they bother to fix are fun ones like the "bumper log" bug. (Just kidding, but you would think that as many bugs as there are in the vmk world, they would realize that this is THEIR mistake, and not blame Karo and the other guy for taking advantage of it). They had no way of knowing that it was "illegal" in the VMK world. That's the story as I know it!
