Official: WOC dinner packages will be offered at CCT!

When you call Disney dining the first thing they say after "Thanks for calling Disney Dining....no ressies for Rainforest....NOT taking reservations for Cathay Circle." :(

I called to ask about Carnation Cafe. They do not have an opening date for that either, although I swear I saw something on the Dis.

Really? I didn't get get the message about not taking reservations for Carthay Circle.
. Disboarders BIG news. Just got off the phone with Disney Dining. Told me to check back this afterrnoon!

I just got reservations for the WOC Dinner Package on June 20th at Carthay Circle. I cannot wait :cool1:

Good luck everyone!

I also just got a reservation for Monday June 18th 6:30pm for when we will be there. A few details from the CM I spoke with:

She said they are not calling it "Fine Dining" as they want all guests to feel comfortable there, if they were wearing flip flops and shorts or nice attire. The theme is the 1920's (which many already know).

The food they said was going to be a wide variety from Jamaican to Mexican to you name it...she said they were trying to have "something for everyone."

Pricing on things...
Appetizers $9-$20
Entries $19-$41
Desserts $8-$12

WOC info
Gets you center stage access, (I would guess that is the preferred dining area)
In order to get the WOC ticket she said you have to get an appetizer and entree or and entree and dessert, it is not your Prix Fix meal like Ariel's was. Other than that...super excited to be going.

I am so glad I browsed the DIS during my lunch hour. Thanks for the update!! I got reservations for Tues, 6/26 and my DD is just going to be thrilled. :yay:

Okay, I am frustrated. I just called to make a reservation for the 21st at the Carthay for a WOC dinner package. She told me that the WOC pass can be requested at the dinner but it is not guaranteed. They might run out. What??? When you made the reservation did they say the dinner would get you the preferred seating pass?

Nothing like that was said to me. Rather she did say it wasn't like the other restaurant where you have fixed menu. For this one you "HAVE" to order an entree and either dessert or appetizer. Other than that nothing about the pass running out. Although I think I remember even with Ariel's and WCT that was technically the same thing that they could run out of passes.

This is how it was explained to me, too.

Ok, I called back and feel better. Amazing how often one CM is just clueless.

The CM I just spoke with mentioned the same details the others have mentioned - each person has to order 2 courses to receive a WOC pass. And more importantly to me, she noted it on my reservation, that we wanted the WOC tickets. The first one wouldn't even do that.

I did keep it as a lunch reservation, since she said it was the same pass for lunch or dinner, as we enjoy having our heaviest meal at lunch and just something light for dinner.

Thanks!

So exciting! The menu looks amazing! DH and I were sitting at the Chef's Counter at Napa Rose one evening when Gloria was there. She handled everything fabulously and remembered us when we came back at a later date. I think she will do a great job running things at CCT and I look forward to my first meal there! :thumbsup2

Hey everyone, I also got resservations for June 15th!! I was aiming for a dinner service but sold out, but when they said they had lunch I happily grabbed it! Its for 1:00! In fact, its probably better if you can't afford the $50 entres lol AND if you definitely want to see WOC! Which is the issue with the quote below!

Yeah the operator explained it to me like others its not a set dinner, so its basically optional if you want a WOC ticket or not which you need to get an entree plus either a dessert or appitizer.

And BECAUSE you are allowed to get WOC tickets for lunch time now, there is definitely a chance by dinner they can run out. I mean if they have 200 tics, for arguments sakes and 150 tics are given for the lunch crowd, that would only lead 50 for dinner so yeah it can definitely run out.

I'm not sure if this is good or bad BUT I think I understand why they are doing this. I dont think the WOC dinner packages are selling as strongly as they were the first year and I also have a feeling many people who wanted the tickets didnt want the just the dinner packages. So it sounds like they have made the program a lot more loose meaning you can just order whatever you want and you can just decide on the day if you want to have a ticket or not. And I'm guessing since you no longer have to order a WOC package meal weeks and days in advance, that there are probably lots of tickets that go unused on certain days. So chances are, there will be enough tickets for everybody who decides to do the entree and app or dessert.

BUT it also sounds like if you REALLY want to get a WOC ticket and want to be 100% safe, I say just do the lunch! And I got the first show as well!

As for the menu itself, it actually sounds like they WILL be offering a wide range of food and budget options. from reasonable to holy cow lol. On the blog, they mentioned they will have stuff like sandwhiches and they will be selling Angus burgers for lunch and dinner along with their entrees. So thats great news and will give everyone a chance to try it which I'm guessing burgers and sandwhiches will be in the $11-$13 range and entrees will go from $20-$50.

If true, that will be a reasonable price point and only if people who want to do the WOC packages will have to pay the higher end.

Not bad! :)

Well, this is Disney. I wouldn't put it past them to put a $19 or $20 burger on the menu as an entree.

Well thats a possibility but that would be really dirty lol. I cant think of one place I ever paid that much for a burger, especially at a Disney park, but you never know!

If I'm paying $20 for a burger that I can pay half everywhere else in the resort, that better be ONE good burger! ;)

Yep, I agree. Jazz Kitchen in DtD has a $15 burger. Menu description: Ground filet mignon, jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, Cajun fries. It's a good burger, and I just try not to think about what I'm paying for it when I'm eating it. I was thinking about that burger when I imagined Disney putting a $20 burger on the menu.

Well, I can't wait... the few menu item photos I've seen look amazing, and I wouldn't be surprised, even if we went for lunch, and the 3 of us got entrees, an app & 2 desserts (to get the woc passes)... I would expect without alcohol even that the meal would cost $90... ($20 for each entree and $10 for the apps and desserts...) that would be $30 pp which is about on line with the character meal prices...

:rotfl2: I love your wording. I will use that the next time I need to describe prices!

I remember reading a post about someone who got their dollar bill framed at Jolly Holiday because it was the first dollar bill they made. Anyone think they'll be doing something similar for CCT and if there'll already be a dollar up by the time the first ressies arrive? And do you think you'd have better luck getting your dollar up at say Cozy Cone or something?
