Well that stinks. Any other rides along the route? It seems like you go by tower of terror, any chance of going on that?

You're waaaaay faster than I am. I couldn't entertain the idea of riding the coasters! Bad enough I'll be stopping for pictures.

Hey all...can you submit a corral time after registering. I could not submit a time earlier because my last big race was Oct 2009. I decided to do a race in November. Is it too late to submit and if not how do I do that and how long does the distance have to be? Thanks

From rundisney.com

Proof of Time

If you believe you will finish the Half Marathon in less than 2:45 hours or the Marathon in less than 5:00 hours, proof of time is required for start corral placement.

Please provide proof of time at the point of registration.

Proof of time should include name of race, year, distance and time finished (i.e. 2011 Walt Disney World® Marathon - 3:35 OR 2010 Disneyland® Half Marathon - 2:25). If you do not have a proof of time to submit, list "N/A" at the point of registration. Proof of time must be provided from a race 10K or longer. All forms of proof of time must be from a race after July 1, 2010. If you do not provide proof of time you will be placed in the last start corral.

If you do not provide proof of time at the point of registration or acquire it after you have registered, then email this information to disneysports@trackshack.com before November 1, 2012. After November 1, 2012 you will need to bring proof of your estimated finish time to the Runner Relations booth at the Expo if you wish to have your start corral placement changed. If you listed a race result as proof of time when registering online, then you do not have to do anything further.

Thanks guys! I just need to find a 10k around here. Was going to do an 8k but not long enough. I wish they took my 2009 time but I guess that was in my "younger, faster days.";)

Yeah! Just finished a 10k today. Chip time was 58:40. I didn't have a proof of time when I registered because it was more than 2 yrs since I ran a 10k or longer.

I am doing the Goofy, do I need to submit an expected marathon finish time with the proof of time? Or will they compute it?

I am shooting for a 4:45 full but will take it easy on the half. What corral could I expect with this time?

My first official chip time was the first W&D in 2010. I walked the second leg of the relay, 8.3 miles, with a 8:36 pace. Submitted that pace for the 2011 Goofy and got corral B for the Half and corral C for the Full. Finished the Full with a walking time of 4:56:28. For this year's Goofy they had me in corral C for both the Half and Full.

That chip time has me in corral A for ToT in 2 weeks.

Need some advice. I was not able to do the 18 miles I had scheduled this morning because DS was sick and I couldn't leave him for so long. I did run 6 miles after he woke up and was feeling better. If I was just training for Disney I would totally let it go since we are so far out, but I am running New York Marathon in 7 weeks!!! Plus I am running 3 half marathons this fall. Should I forget about the 12 miles I missed and move on, try to run 8-10 tomorrow morning, or increase next week from 12 to 18 miles? I did run 18 last week and still have at least one more 18 miler plus a 20 miler scheduled. TIA and I hope all you guys had great runs this weekend.

So excited today, I just had to share! Booked my flight for the marathon and if I extended my trip a day, I could use my SW points. (Only had enough points for one-way if i flew in on my original day.) Total cost for my flight was $7.50. But if I add an extra day to my package at POR, it's $200+. As if it was meant to be, a Groupon for Comfort Inn Maingate landed in my inbox and I scored a steal of $55. But how do I get there? Mom already was bugging me to get a rental car but I was scared of the prices. Once again got lucky and found a car for a week for $100. I know we all are hoping for room or package discounts but I'm just thrilled all my little extras are coming so cheap and an extra day and more time for the expo ended up cheaper for me. Now to earn this trip I need to get my 9 miles in today. Happy planning everyone!

Where did you get the car from & what dates? My rental car price right now is $300!!!

Well I did it. 20 miles run today. Time was unimpressive at 3:58, but I RAN 20 MILES-ALL AT ONE TIME. :cool1::cool1: The first 15 were right on target time wise, the last 5 were :crazy2:. Walked more, felt like my right leg wanted to cramp up, but didn't. Water/GU/Cytomax all worked out well, I think I have the fueling bit down. Now its taper time-first marathon is 3 weeks from today!

What time on half marathon race day do the buses to MK start? What time can spectators enter the MK? My sister wanted to know if it was an option to go straight from our resort to MK by bus, she is really short and is worried that if she doesn't have a front row spot on main street that she won't be able to see me when I go by. Any suggestions? Was thinking about having her come with me to start then taking monorail to MK then back to Epcot, but don't know if she will have enough time to get a good spot.

That's an AWESOME time in my eyes!! Good luck at the marathon!

I've seen people who weren't running the PHM get on the bus without an eyelash being batted by the driver. Just tell her to let the runners go first so they don't miss their corral start.

Here's the info from the Rundisney site:

You can view your runner in a number of different areas along the Marathon and Half Marathon course including the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks and the Finish Line area.

Magic Kingdom® Park

Spectators will be able to see their runner run through the Magic Kingdom® Park near Cinderella Castle (Mile 5.3 for the Half Marathon and Mile 10.5 for the Marathon). This location will be open at 5:30 a.m. You do not need a ticket to enter the Magic Kingdom® Park, but to enter the ChEAR Zone area, you will need a ChEAR Zone wristband.

To reach the Magic Kingdom® Park spectator area from Epcot®, walk from the start of the monorail station at Epcot® and ride it to the Transportation and Ticket Center. Exit the monorail, walk down the ramp and follow the overhead signs for the monorail to Magic Kingdom® Park. Ride the monorail to Magic Kingdom® Park and exit the platform heading towards the Magic Kingdom® Park entrance. Proceed through the entrance and Main Street U.S.A. toward Cinderella Castle, where you will find the spectator area.

Other Walt Disney World® Theme Parks

If you want to watch your runner in another Walt Disney World® Theme Park, you will need to purchase a Theme Park ticket once that park is open for the day. Transportation to these parks is available through the monorail and bus system at the Walt Disney World® Resort.

Finish Line

Spectators can see their runners again at the Finish Line. There will be a limited number of complimentary seats along the Finish Line available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Reserved seating is available for purchase through our ChEAR Squad.

The Finish Line is located in the Imagine Lot of Epcot®. To reach the finish line from Magic Kingdom® Park, take the monorail back to the Transportation and Ticket Center. Exit the monorail and follow the signs for the monorail to Epcot®. Ride the monorail back to Epcot® and upon arriving, walk down the ramp and exit to your left towards the parking lots. The Imagine Lot and Finish Line area will be on your right.

As I said in my post, my first full is 3 weeks from today.

Way to go for your 20 miler. :thumbsup2

Water/Gu/Cytomax for me too. Had a real hard 58 mile bicycle ride yesterday and the same fueling works great. Have my TOT in 2 weeks then Space Coast Marathon end of November. Already have a 20 miler in with ease so after TOT I'll go for a 24 miler in October. Going to ramp up my walking speed to go for a 4:15 in the Space Coast Marathon.

Good luck with your Full.

Fox Rentals and I went with the cheapest car available. I'll probably only use it a few times, including heading to the store to get water and supplies so I figure a little car won't matter. Hope you can find a cheaper option!

I feel so far behind. I am running my first half and just hit 4 miles. My husband is at 20 miles and doing Goofy. He is also running a full in October.

Tuesday I ran 15 miles, my longest distance to date, and made it feeling pretty good. Walked 2 or 3 times towards the end. Today did 5 miles and was totally sucking air. I felt like I just couldn't breath right. Don't know if it was that I started out too fast, or was just tired. There's always tomorrow.

Anyone submit their proof of time AFTER registering? I was so happy I finally got a marathon proof of time! I sent two emails in the last several weeks and received no confirmation back. For the 2011 Princess Half when I submitted proof I received an email back pretty quickly showing they had updated my time. Just wondering if anyone has done this yet and if they received confirmation.

Just found these boards over the weekend. Great great stuff! I actually sat here and read all 183 pages of the thread.

I am registered for my first Marathon for January and cant wait for the new Mickey medal.

Wine and Dine in November as warm up!
