Official Top Chef Las Vegas thread *Premieres 8/19*

I'll reserve my real comments and observations for after the West Coast sees the show. :(

I think that anyone on the West coast knows what we're talking about :lmao:!

I liked Kevin best, but I think any of them deserved the win. I'm happy with the outcome. The winnerl was a great chef.

And let it be known that I have a crush on Bryan.

Ya think! :lmao:

I know, but there's no way for me to say what I think without it being obvious who the final two were. :teacher:

I would have been happy with any of the 3 winning. All are great chefs with different styles.

Awwww I was really pulling for Kevin.

I thought making food for the mother's was awkward for a last minute finale. I don't know...it just striked me as odd. Maybe it is just me.;)

Ugh @ the winner. I didn't watch. They eliminated Jennifer, so they eliminated my reason for watching the show. Thanks for two crappy winners in a row, Bravo!

I am thrilled at the winner. I thought he was the best all season. Kevin will be fine. He's on TV everyday in Atlanta!

What's funny is that everyone remembers Fabio from last season and Carla...but I actually had to *think* about who the winner was. Kevin will be more famous for *not* having won, he'll be this season's Fabio.

I Heart Kevin, he was so decent, I think his brand of cooking just wasn't fancy enough for the judges. Ah, but that's ok. Kevin will represent the United States at the Bocuse D'Or. I also Heart the Nice Voltaggio brother, the one with the restaurant in Frederick Maryland, with the wife and kid, the one who was generous with his time, the one who actually seemed to care about food and the people eating his food.

agnes!

Very true. :thumbsup2

Honestly TC is a big commercial for their name and some of them understood that and some of them did not.

I think the judges like's Kevin's dishes just fine. They did not penalize him last night for "simple". They penalized him for a having a bad day. He had one good dish, one OK dish with a problem (the hard mushroom) and two marginal dishes (the under-cooked pork and the BACON  dessert). He didn't being his "A" game and he didn't utilize his sous chef properly.

FWIW, I the Bocuse D'Or prize was an opportunity to compete in the National competition. He does not have a place on the US team yet.

What an emotional show bringing the Moms in. I was a sobbing fool at the end. :lmao:

I agree they all deserved to win. I was rooting for Bryan but I'm happy for Michael. DH was rooting for Kevin.

The last 3 were all great chefs. I personally wanted Brian to win but Michael is certainly deserving.

It's begun!

On man, based on the choice of sous chefs alone. I'd say one person doesn't stand a chance. :(

What school cafeteria did Top Chef pull Preeti out of? :sad2:

Did anyone else catch how Kevin's sauce would have been ruined if Brian hadn't alerted him to it? I have to say, Brian is one class act.
Awe, come on... that's unfair to all of the very good school cafeteria workers. ;)

Preeti really failed Kevin. Did you see the way Ashley looked at Brian as he was explaining everything? She was someone who came to work. Preeti couldn't even cut squash very quickly. Her heart wasn't in showing her skills. She was voted out too early in the competition for her to care.

I knew Kevin was going when the judges started eating the mushroom. That was sad.

Really, all three of these men are wonderful chefs. It could have gone to anyone. Michael deserved the win, but I was hoping kharma would bite his butt for his unsportsmanlike playing/comments during the season.

I will admit they will fooled me this season, they way they edited last night I was sure It was Brian that was going to win. All the judges complained how bad Michael dessert was, and good Brian was. I felt bad for Kevin he really got the short end of the help. I wish they would let them choose who they wanted to help them. I was crying when Michael mom was hugging himi but looking at Bryan like she knew he might fall apart.
