I agree, I thought Brian was going home, too. Usually, the one to make a phone call home is the one to go home. The producers tricked us last night... and I'm happy about that.

The way they are portraying Jen, I wouldn't be surprised with the outcome of next week's challenge either way, if she stays or if she goes. Maybe she's not as as forlorn as we think.

What did you think of Fabio's dinner party? I finally got to see it this morning at 3:00 when my DH was getting ready to go to the airport. How many times can Bravo ask the same questions of the same people from past seasons? I wanted to know more about what the chefs are doing now and less about how Marcel felt when he was being held down by Cliff in season 2. How many years ago was that? Let's get over it.

It was nice to see the chefs work together in the kitchen instead of backstabbing one another.

Ah, finally getting down to the wire. Poor Jen, she really really wants to go home. She looked depressed at the fact she was still there.

No surprise that Robin went home, she was not going to make it anyway.

Eli has been surprising me with making decent dishes.

My guess is that Jen goes home next elimination. Eli wants to be there and he is going to step it up. Jen has lost her fire for the challenges.

Jen looks so sad. I thought that she might get her confidence back up this challenge but that did not happen. I hoped that she took some inspiration from the dinner show she sat through. She could have had some fun with it but it seems for her this is no longer any fun.

Robin should have continued to cook the kind of food that got her in the competition. Once she started trying to impress the Chefs weho were ridiculing her food she was lost. Kevin does not cook the same kind of food that the V boys do but he is not ashamed of his style and he continues to impress the judges. I wonder if the condescending attitude that some of these guys have has made Jen begin to doubt her own ability.

The judges must really love Jen she has been iin the bottom for a while now. I think she has given up on herself. The way the show started I was afraid Brian was going home. I'm really hoping for Kevin, ELi and Brian to be in the finale. I'm not sure who I want to win either Brian or Kevin

I think that one who got lucky was Eli and his PB&J mess. I think that the judges looked to previous work and kept the two who have had the most success. This is not what Tom Collichio said in his blog. He said that Robins dish was bad. Plain and simple. He said Jen's was boring but no glaring mistakes. And that he kind of liked Eli's dish.

Interesting. It is hard to tell with the panel on TV whose dish is really "bad".

I feel for Jen. She started out gangbusters, was winning challenges even when she was sick and now she has just given up. I want to smack her and tell her to snap out of it.

I like Brian, Kevin and Jen (wishful thinking I know) for the top three.

I really have not liked her and her Stuart Smally method self confidence building. Instead of constantly saying 'I deserve to be here', I honestly expected her to start saying 'I'm good enough. And gosh darnit, people like me!' I'm personally glad to see her go. And I'm sure Eli breathed quite the sigh of relief as well.

I do have to say that my favorite quote of the night last was from Nigela.

"When you stick your fork in it, it should quiver like the thigh of a 17th century courtesan."

I love her so much.

That is the classical description of the dish and referenced before on the show. Interesting isn't it?

Makes me think of puttenesca sauce. ( a sauce apparently prostitutes ate between "clients" to give them energy )

Of course I was hoping for Carla last season and she flopped. I felt so terrible for her.

I think it all depends on what they have to cook. According to the wiki, Kevin has won 4 episodes, Michael 3 and Bryan 3. I can't stand either brother on a personal level.

I am so glad Robin finally got booted her work was mediocre compared to the other Chefs not to mention I am glad for selfish reasons I found myself fast forwarding every time she spoke as I found her to be very irritating, now I can watch the show without the hassle. I feel that going forward it is going to be a real dog fight and in my opinion will end up being the best top chef finale ever whatever the combination of chefs. I am really looking forward to the rest of the season

I think Bryan seems like a really nice guy, not arrogant like Michael at all. I hope he takes it all, he is seems like such an accomplished chef and a nice person to boot.

I agree! Anyone can make buffalo wings with cut out shaped blue cheese.

I hope Michael gets canned soon. It is hard to imagine that Brian and Michael came from the same gene pool.

I agree, Brian seems so nice and gracious. I have never seen him get upset if he loses a challenge and is very gracious to the winner. Michael, not so much.
