I'm going to try for Friday and then Sat. if we don't get one on Friday. When we've done this past years.....they do go right away. We're heading down early Thurs and head home Sunday....then our next trip isn't until Tink. It's going to be a long 5 months but I'll be counting the days.

I keep forgetting to ask on the other side... how's Dopey training going? I keep seeing posts in fb groups about long runs and back to backs and I keep thinking wow, that's early and then look at the calendar and it's so close!

It's going! My long runs are in the coming weeks (I'm not doing Galloway like most people I notice on FB, and I'm only going up to 20 miles).
This week is my first big "simulation" week - 3-6-13-16! After that, I'm doing 3-4-6-17 and then 3-6-8-20 and I'm calling it good!

Thanks. Traffic wasn't too bad today. Weather not a problem at all, but the park is pretty busy.

Holy cow, when you said run, you really meant run!! I got in line at 7:30 yesterday, but it was a little too late, but I saw the people running to get in line. That's crazy!! When I got there, I was right by the Emporium and the CM said we were borderline/most likely not to get one so I went to the Hub to the ropes for Peter Pan. Hope you had a good weekend! I knew it was going to be busy, but I wasn't thinking that busy. Still got everything in though, spent most of Sat in DCA. Had the 2 fp for WOC but I'd been up since 1am b/c puppy woke me up and the drive I was done around 8:30 so I missed them. But got back to the room in time and got to see the fireworks from the window. And since I skipped the line for the candy canes, I got on almost everything by 12:30 yesterday.

I LOVED Hyperspace Mountain! LOVED it! I only got to ride it once and cannot wait to go back and ride it again! I thought it was faster too but it could have been cause I was having so much fun with it! They could permanently change it to HSM and I'd be thrilled! Did I mention that I LOVED it

It was crazy busy wasn't it. I'll take race weekend crowds anytime over Saturday's crowd. Loved Candlelight and we were able to get a great place to watch.

We ended up going into the park Sunday morning at opening and I looked for you in the candy cane line. Sorry to hear it did not work out this week.....but you've got another chance this weekend to try. Each person can actually get two each if they want so that does not help either. I also noticed DL opened up the turn styles early each day, even at a 8:00 am opening. Now you've seen how crazy it is and how people really do run. Let me know how you do next weekend.

Rant here: We had to renew our AP's this trip and the entire time we had issues with it. Computer problems on Disney side. We have the same 20% discount but it was a PAIN, the in park system wasn't recognizing the new AP/transaction and it took forever....even had to get leads approving transactions.

Just think you're going back in a couple of days.

I agree with @VickiHD. I think it has to do somewhat with the allowing of two wristbands/canes per person this year. They hardly even asked how many we wanted when I got them with my mom first day they started then this year. They were just ready to slap two on our wrists unless we said we only wanted one. We of course got the max. Super special gifts! We couldn't resist. Only one cane was actually for us.

It's definitely causing a lot of grief for all especially the poor CMs. One mentioned she noticed the more a pass has been used, though, the faster the search seems to go. Not sure if it's true, but I hope it's not nearly that bad next time I go later this month. Definitely hope it's fixed by the Tink. I heard about the two systems issue too. But it's funny...hubby's AP had NO problem this weekend....same renewal and everything. I also feel bad for the CM's since they are the ones out dealing with it first hand. It's not the CM's fault but you know how some people can be. The computer system issues did not help the lines at all in restaurants and shops, it was bad !!!! We've had passes for about 14 yrs and have never had any issues, and for the amount of $$ we spend on AP's, I really think they should work problem free. Maybe it would have been better to have the computer system issue fixed before introducing the signature passes.

Have you guys been getting the gifting registration emails for Tink and WDW SW? I keep feeling taunted by rD about SW still being open and wanting the Kessel Challenge medal. I have to keep reminding myself that I already have 2 travel races on the books but still having vacation days combined w/ the emails are tempting me like crazy. As long as flights stay pricey I should be good... in theory.
