**OFFICIAL THREAD**Survivor: Panama

With Terry yes, but not with the rest of them. Austin and Danielle bonded on Exile Island, Bruce loved her, Shane was a toss up and she got his vote for being closest to 444,444 so she must have thought she had a better chance of flipping one more vote by keeping Aras to show them she stayed true to the alliance. However weak it was, she made it to the final two.

I agree with your analysis but what I was trying to say is that I don't think she owed Aras or anyone in her tribe anything or should have rewarded them. Aras and Shane favoured Cirie over everyone in her tribe and Aras lied to the everyonew but Cirie. If it wasn't for Terry, she would not have even got to the tie breaking fire contest.

I was never a fan of Cirie's either and didn't get her popularity. She was good at the plotting though and that is part of the reason she was as successful as she was.

I like Cirie and think she played the game well.
She was on the chopping block with Melinda way back when Casya was formed, then all of a sudden she's made it to the final four. Props to her.

As far as folks going on Survivor without a lot of outdoor experience, I've gotta think Cirie probably was the least prepared they've ever had.

But I was a bit surprised at just how well liked they said she was and how much they went on about her in the reunion show too.

Terry outplayed them, Cirie outwitted them and I guess you could say that Aras outlasted them.

::yes:: ITA! I'm not sure what Dani did, "outlied" them!? ;)

Ok, I know that Aras has been awarded his check and that the game is over but for the life of me I CANNOT see the "love affair" that the general public seems to have for Cirie :confused3 what is up with that?? I have watched Survivor from the very beginning and I am sure that she is not the first person to head to Survior without having ever made a fire or catching a fish. Then to top it off she gets a car - give me a break! I like watching the "after show" but I felt like it was the Cirie show. UGH - maybe it is just me but I do not see why everyone likes her so much :confused3

OMG.. I totally feel the exact same way. I had posted before that I did not understand the fascination with Cirie? Im sure she is a very nice person, and very friendly. BUT SO WHAT.. I mean there have been plenty of friendly nice Survivors, but nobody ever made such a big deal like they did to Cirie.

Aras should have lost more than Shane's vote with that idiotic guess between 1 and a million!!!!!!!! :rolleyes2 WHAT WAS HE THINKING!!!????? Outwit, I don't think so. He guesses 4, well, of course, she's going to go over his guess and win. Not that I wanted her to win, but Aras deserved to lose just on that one answer.

To answer the insinuation that Terry didn't outwit--How do you think he got that far against the whole Casya tribe? There was a target on his back from the beginning and look how far he got. If the final challenge had indeed been about endurance, I have no doubt that he would have won, but it wasn't ---it was about balance.

I think we do have to give Cerie credit for some serious outwitting :stir: as well. I really like her--she had a contagious enthusiasm and she made it way farther than anyone thought she would.

Well, I only have one word-----RUPERT!

Do you remember him? They made a huge fuss over him, too. They even brought him to Survivor All Stars, and he finished.... like 6th on his Survivor! (Maybe 4th, but I know he wasn't in the final three) They also gave him a "consolation car."

So, I agree about Cirie. She was funny, likeable, and the audience could relate to her, but I don't see the big deal. Not with Rupert either.

I still wish Terry would have won.

I didn't buy that Shane used that method, I think it was just another of his tricks. He may not have liked Danielle but it was Aras that stabbed him in the back.

I don't think Terry outwitted anyone. I was a big fan of his and was rooting for him to win but he made it as far as he did because of his superiority in the challenges. After his initial alliance was done in he was not able to make another or trick anyone.

He also played on the fact that he had the immunity idol, which got him into the final 4 and gave him some leverage throughout the game.

Because of that stupid hidden immunity idol, otherwise he would have been gone when Aras won immunity

Amenica also gave him $million in the vote during the finals

I'm with you. Jeff said she was one of the most popular survivors ever. I really thought that would be Terry. I really wanted her to go a long time ago.

I loved Cirie's attitude, her smile, her bright clothing, her laugh. She brought a breath of fresh air to the show this year. She was smart, kind, funny & easy to relate to. I loved her relationship with her DH (which is also what helped Rupert out - his relationship with his wife & daughter).

On another note, I'm not sure if this has been addressed - if Aras & Terry were the final 2, who would have won?

I think Terry would have won against Aras. He would have had Austin, Sally, Shane, and either Bruce or the fire dancer(can't think of her name). Bruce and Aras never got along, so I don't think he would have voted for Aras....Aras would have gotten Cirie and Danielle, but I don't think he would have gotten any of the others.

I found Cirie to be extremely phony. IF she liked you, she would talk to you. However, did you ever see her be kind or interested in anything Sally, Nick, Austin or Terry had to say? For that matter, Bruce? Once she knew the Crazy Casaya 6 were "out there", she knew she had a chance.

She also talked about everyone behind there backs.

Those traits do not equal a nice person.

I think Aras knew no matter what he said, Shane was going to vote for Danielle because he felt betrayed by Aras. Shane had also just said some rotton stuff to Aras (you're broke, you're homeless, and you sponge off your dad), so Aras wasn't really willing to play his numbers game. So he just said 4. It was more a "C'mon, Shane- what a stupid copout- just vote for who you want to vote for!" thing than anything else.

I completely agree!

I also think Terry would have won if it had been him and Aras.

The producers pretty much tell them to talk about the other people and what is going on. You're talking bad about her now, does that make you not a nice person?

I think she is so well liked because she represents many of us who have no outdoor experience. She went in there afraid of leaves and made it to the final four. Laughing and smiling the whole way. I think she's my all-time favorite Survivor.

I will not rationale the comment that you made.

People who pretend to be nice, cute, respectful and then do the exact opposite when your back is turned is not a trustworthy or worthy person. I think a lot of people gave Cirie much clout and it may not be deserving to her. She could not win or even much participate in many of the challanges (I remember Shane and Aras pushing Cirie through a lot of stuff). I do give her credit for winning the non-physical reward challenge.

Cirie got more than she deserved - 4th place is farther than even she thought she would go. I think if she won, most of the Survivor watchers would have disagreed with the results; just as they did with Jennifer M, Tina and Vesepa.

Most certainly and Danielle knew that. Danielle was never going to win the big $$$ and I think she thought she had a better chance with Aras. Remember, Bruce and Aras going at it - Aras has a big chip on his shoulders and he seems to take it out in older men (????).

I was diappointed in Danielle; she made a power play to keep Bruce and get rid of Bobby (in much of Bobby's comments - Cirie had a hand in that). But Danielle never followed through with another strategy, she just kept getting lost. Casaya's strength was based on stupidity, not some underlying love. They all disliked each other. Cirie was less crazy than the others. (and thank God for that).

Terry would have easily won the million, whether against Danielle or Aras.

I hope the producers give better psychological tests with the next Survivor episodes. I've had enough of the Courtneys, Shanes and Aras' of the reality world.

There's an old saying, "sometimes poop floats to the top."

In this Survivor, the saying was true.
