Official Thread For Upcoming Eastern Canadian Cruises

I like this one a lot, the flag within the provincial outline is a neat idea!

We are waiting patiently for Disney to post its port adventures, okay my nose just grew, we are waiting VERY IMPATIENTLY for the Port Adventures. As soon as they are revealed we will start offering tips. In the mean time, scroll through the posts for maps and things to do.

Any other requests for Canadianized magnets post them here.

And Welcome

Assuming they have pirate night (I sure hope they do), will they change the name to "Pirates IN the Bay of Fundy"?

We are aiting VERY IMPATIENTLY with you:dance3:!!
Do you know anything about the ziplining above the reversing falls? I have the info about it but wonder if you locals know folks that have done it - is it recommended for teens ages 13-15?
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!:santa:

I hope somebody in Disney does a bit of research into the Bay of Fundy and its history with Pirates. When I went to university, we toured a large marsh at the tip, and were shown an old dry dock structure that reportedly was built by pirates. There are stories of Captain kid burying treasure around Nova Scotia, so it would indeed be cool to see them put on a Funday theme. At the very least I hope they serve lobster at some point, and scallops, and mussels, and clams..........

As for the ziplines, give me a day or two to get an answer for you.

I feel farily confident there will be a pirate party on the canada cruise. Right now under my activities is shows that Day 4 Saint John is the Pirate Deck Party. As for changing its name. Well I'd say that is probably doubtful.

I know it is totally wishful thinking but I so wish they would have activities this week so that my family could plan when we are all together over Christmas. It will be more challenging with the family spread out.

Ah, you inspired nme to google it, and I found a story of Captain Kidd's treasure!

I'm looking forward to a lobster supper for sure. The shorex from the other cruises look to be about $99, do you think it would make sense to make our own plans?

I am not that hopeful, either. I hadn't heard them change it for the trips to AK or the MR. it just doesn't make as much sense to have the Pirates IN the Caribbean pary IN the North Atlantic :)

We can cross our fingers, that they may make it fit the area, rumour has it that Disney personel routinely visit this site, so it never hurts to post an idea.

I also checked a few menues around Halifax and St John. Most say Market Price. So I guess it depends on supply and demand when you arrive. I will have to keep that in mind to recheck this summer. I can keep a thread going about the cost of lobster on the east coast.

I admit I have only skimmed this thread and did a search but I did not see any information on car rentals. I did find that in Halifax there is an Avis in the train station which is walking distance from the port, but what about St John

MKmommy,

Thanks for the great idea. I will post a list of taxi services, as soon as the Christmas Rush is over. I want to get the time to check out each one and see if any have a pick up and drop off service, AAA, CAA or other discount etc. Just a heads up, we got a car when we went to Disneyworld on our honeymoon, so we could spend a day at Universal. We used airmiles to rent the car, but forgot to bring a copy of our car insurance so we had to use the rentals. BRING A COPY OF YOUR OWN INSURANCE. It was cheaper to rent the car then it was to pay for the insurance through the rental agency.

I'd love a Canadianized magnet graphic! Something with "The Campbell Family" would be great. Whatever is easiest is fine by me!

I've looked at some shore excursions offered by other cruise lines for our ports and several look fun.
