My husband has difficulty walking long distances- how far of a walk is it from the ship to where you get on the tour buses?

My family (DH & 11yr old DS) chose to go on our own in St. John & book the zip line adventure. The reviews are fantastic for it on Trip Advisor & Cruise Critic. We were thinking of the jet boats, but Disney wouldn't let us book it for our son. Disney's age limit is 13. Thought about booking on our own because privately (with same excursion vendor) there is only a height/weight limit & my son meets it, but opted for the zip lining instead. Jet boating is a great option for those who want to try something different. We did it on the Niagara River last year & had a blast. You do get soaked though!

Does anyone know how far the Market is from Long Wharf? I would love to explore this area.

I get to make our activities reservations on Thursday, so I'm trying to plan out what we should see and do in each port. This is the first chance I've had to sit and look at the options, as we've had several other vacations we were planning first!

So, what does everyone recommend doing in each port? In Halifax I'm looking at the beer tasting tour as DH loves a good beer, but before that, is it worth getting the hop on/hop off pass? Or can we walk to things like the Gardens/Citadel on our own? We don't mind a good hike, but wouldn't want to walk for miles, either, when we could just grab the bus. What do you consider to be the must do's here?

Saint John is a whole other thing. I'm really not sure what we should see/do here, so any recommendations are appreciated. I'm assuming the Bay of Fundy is great to see here? We like to see and explore cultures, so something along those lines.

In Halifax, not far at all. I stopped by today and had a look around.

Not very far at all. The gang way is a bit higher than usual as you get off on deck 4 and walk down the gang way. Then you simply cross through the terminal (about 100 ft) and out the doors to the buses.
