Official Thread for Universal's Halloween Horror Nights 21 (Updated 10/26, post #251)

General tips, in case they haven't been posted already:

3)If you already have a ticket to USF, use Stay & Scream!

.

? about this. If I purchased 3 day tickets from Costco, can I use them to purchase just the Stay & Scream for the evening?

Thanks!

Yes as long as you buy the S&S at the park, you would have problems trying to do it online.

WEBSITE UPDATE!!!!

We now have a "Take a Chance" button with puzzles (you have to register first). I just got banned from the site for an hour! They're difficult, but fun!! I can't wait!

Also, there's also a hint tab on the HHN Facebook page. There's a new picture over there as well!

I believe that I figured out the today's strategy for the "Take a Chance" game.

1) Currently there will be 3 cards: 2 of one color and 1 of another color. Always select the single card, as I've never gotten a bad card doing this.

2) The blue card currently takes you to the the three tombstones, while the gold card takes you to the phone. For the tombstone, the right tombstone is the good one. For the phone, always select the light flashing near the bottom.

3) Now for the games: one is the tv screens with remote, and the other is the 5 keys and 3 houses. For both games, you get three chances. But here's the kicker, you can exit those games at any time without penalty by selecting "Pick a Card", which I do after 2 misses with the keys or remote.

Although it could take a while to win tokens, atleast you shouldn't lose tokens and get banned.

Puzzles.... :cool1:

I`m up to 150 tokens... well, after getting banned twice. :rolleyes1

I`ve started my pre-trip report for this years HHN! HHN 21

When I got home from work yesterday, I had a FedEx envelope waiting for me from Universal Orlando. I had no idea what it was. I opened it to find a single, small cardboard envelope, sealed with a "wax seal", stamped with the Halloween Horror Nights black spade "21" logo.

(sorry, I didn't get a picture of the "wax seal" before I opened it).

Inside was a single playing card. The back of the card had Universal's Halloween Horror Nights 21 design.

The face of the card had a single proverb that reads...

"Fate leads the willing, and drags along the reluctant." - Seneca

There was also the website address for Halloween Horror Nights 21 listed at the bottom. Although, I'm sure everyone here knows it.

I just called Universal to verify we could get the S&S HHN tickets to use with our Orlando Flex Tickets. No problem, per the guy on the phone. :)

I was worried because I saw this on the Universal site:

Not valid with any other specials, promotions or discounts. Sales tax, convenience charge and parking fee not included. General single-day admission tickets, Multi-Day tickets, Annual Passes, Orlando FlexTickets and Complimentary Passes are not valid for Halloween Horror Nights admission. Event occurs rain or shine. No rain checks, returns or refunds. Prices, dates, times, attractions and entertainment subject to availability and to change without notice. Other restrictions may apply.

Time to call Universal back and order our HHN tickets!

Would this also be the case if I purchased ticket at Shades of Green? Also, if I waited until that day to buy the S&S, is there a chance the party could be sold out (going on Wed, 10/26)?

Thanks!

Any valid ticket that gets you in to Universal will allow you to buy the S&S upgrade. As far as I know S&S has never sold out however I've never been that late in the season so perhaps someone else could give you better advice on crowd levels for that date.

Yeah you're fine, the bit you highlighted is just saying that HHN is not included with those tickets, they will however allow you to add the cheap upgrade for HHN.

It's extremely doubtful that night would be sold out. Just make sure you head over to Guest Services as soon as you arrive at the Studios and get your tickets then. Don't wait until later in the afternoon...the lines for Guest Services will be long.

New games have been added and now you can no longer exit the games. I'm losing coins like crazy!

I just want clarification of the ticket situation.

We are planning on getting 2 parks, 2 day tickets. We want to go on a Thursday and NOT do HHN but come back to the parks for our second day on Sunday and stay for HHN.
Do I buy Stay and Scream tickets BEFORE I use the first day and can I use the Stay and Scream ticket for either of the two days I will be at the parks?

You're Stay and Scream ticket will be for a specific date. So when you buy your 2 park/2day ticket and request an add-on Stay and Scream ticket, the ticketing agent will ask you what date you will be attending HHNs. Your Stay and Scream rate will depend upon what day of the week the date falls on, and the date will be printed on your Stay and Scream ticket.
