Official Thread for Universal's Halloween Horror Nights 21 (Updated 10/26, post #251)

General tips, in case they haven't been posted already:

1)Saturdays are the busiest. Then Fridays. Then Sundays, Thursdays, and Wednesdays (in that order).

2)The first half of the event is slower than the second half.

3)If you already have a ticket to USF, use Stay & Scream!

4) Most of the crowds will head to the soundstage houses first, then make their way around the park clockwise. If you go counter-clockwise (and skip the Bill & Ted show until later) you'll get more done in less time!

5) Be sure to do the house in the Jaws Queue BEFORE the first Bill & Ted show is over. Otherwise that house gets to a 60-120min wait and stays that way for the rest of the night.

6)Alcohol stands are everywhere. So are drunk people. Proceed with caution.

Happy dancing for everyone who's going! Wish I could join you all this year the theme looks incredible! Please post lots and lots of pics so I can live through your vacations :lmao:

i already have you penciled in for hhn '12 patster.
you best be there too!

Thanks, Mac!

I'll be there!

Unless I blow all of my 2012 vaction time and money on the San Diego Comic-Con next year (Never been, but have always wanted to go).

So I've been wondering since this will be my first HHN....

Should I bother bringing my camera? or with the drinking I plan to do, the houses, and general atmosphere of the park, Would bringing the camera and keeping track of it pretty much be a waste of time/effort?

Obviously with it being a darker event in the evening, I don't want to be "that guy" using a flash in a dark area and ruining the experience for others.... but I don't know if there are areas that might be lit well enough to maybe make it possible to take some decent non-flash pictures which I can show to friends back home to show them what they missed.

many homies take cameras.
can't use them inside the houses though but can everywhere else.

you'll kick yourself if you don't bring a camera, especially since this is your virgin hhn.....

True! I kicked myself. I did not take a camera to my first HHN thinking it was prohibited and I have been so angry at myself since then!

i was thinking the same thing!

not be there for a full night but part of the night.
