Official thread for The Bachelor

At least she could have said she wanted a family, children, etc. Reproduce is a biology term that makes me think of cells in a lab, not a happy marriage in a warm bed. What a strange gal!

I can't wait till they bring her up on the end-of-the-season show when they bring all the girls back together!!!!! :rotfl2:

At least she is what made the episode entertaining!!! I think that they could see in her profile that she may be this way, and brought her in for that purpose!!! ;)

The ratings you know!

That woman is an oncologist, I wonder if she has a practice. I would never go to her!

I loved it when she went right up to Travis and asked "why didn't you pick me? Is it because my ****s are too small?" I was hoping he would reply "uhmmm...because you're a psycho" :rotfl:

I just can't believe that she really believes that "the only reason to get married is to reproduce"...does she really think that marriage automatically = reproduction??? :confused3

She is truly in need of help...could you imagine being one of her patients and watching this at home?? I'd be on the phone looking for new doctor after that :scared1:

I would definitely be looking for another doctor if I was one of her patients. She was over the top and in need of a doctor herself, but that doctor should be a shrink.

OK - I watched and I am now sucked it. The girls he chose were very pretty. I also think he may be the best bachelor yet. Handsome, smart and seemed very nice.

That girl,(the doctor) was psycho!! She didn't even see it. Maybe she got a clue last night.

Hope this is a good season.

Yeah - "Ali, the oncolgist" has no bedside manner! (I couldn't resist!). She seemed to be in the process of a business deal! Someone as smart as her should realize that she is walking around with a huge chip on her shoulder. She's only 28! What's with the biological clock ticking?! As soon as he heard that she was a doctor, he probably made a mental note - don't pick her unless she really "wows" me.

I made myself a promise that I wasn't watching anymore...I'm not over the Meredith/Matthew disaster...but I was folding laundry and it was on and I got sucked in!! I'm probably in it for the duration now!

I have to say though, that I am constantly amazed at how ABC can find the most psycho unstable women in the country! They were cracking me up! Didn't one of the girls actually use the phrase "my eggs are rotting away!" :rotfl2:

Seriously...I had to keep saying over and over again "could this girl be for real" to be a Dr. and get on TV and act and say those kind of things. I would just think my credibility would go down the toilet if that were me and I acted that way. The camera went to her every single time he handed out a rose and the look on her face was just awful. It just seemed like they were following her around or staged or something odd.

That said, yep, I watched. LOL. I just happend to be flipping through the channels when it started. It always is funny to watch the first few episodes to see some of these girls act nutty and catty LOL. The look on most of their faces was pretty funny when he was handing out a rose, until it came to them getting one then they were all smiles LOL.

The one girl was pretty, I forget her name, he gave her a rose toward the end and he said she was the first girl out of the limo. I thought he was going to give her the 1st rose.

Why am I still talking about this LOL

Me too! I liked her a lot . I'm pretty sure her name was Susan.

She's actually 33, not 28.

Last night's episode totally cracked me up. I have never laughed harder during reality tv than with watching that one oncologist. OMG when she went off on the crew member. I was crying by that point. The poor bachelor looked like he was motioning for security at one point. I knew something was going to be up with her because they kept panning the camera towards her when he was handing out roses. Her expressions were priceless! I am in total agreement that if I were one of her patients I would be finding a new doctor STAT!

Yep, I'm another one watching this. I too was cracking up at the Oncologist, I just don't get how you can be so upset when you've spent what 15 minutes at most with him and then he is also with 24 other women.

I think the women set themselves up for the hurt, they go into thinking he will be the one, not the he "May" be the one. It is so sad.

Did anyone else find it strange that the girl he gave the intial rose to was 10 years younger that he is? She was only 23! ( I also know a spoiler for this show from another forum, but I won't reveal it)

I changed the title so we can discuss this train wreck all season. I think I'm sucked in - mainly because I really like the bachelor

Even though I'm happily married to a great DH, this bachelor really is Dr. McDreamy (from commercial during Grey's Anatomy...love that show too!!!)

He is the only bachelor so far that I consider a great catch that I could be attracted to.

So far, my favorite two are the first girl who stepped out of the limo and the teacher from Nashville. I don't know why, since we barely met any of them, just a gut feeling. This could change, because any veteran of The Bachelor knows these gals can get nutty! Heck one of them already did :scared1:

Those are my two favorites too so far!

As nutty as the oncologist was (and believe me, she was!) She did make a point that I agreed with. Men, in general (and especially on the Bachelor) tend to stay away from stronger more independent, intelligent women. In general, and especially on this show, they tend to always go for the women that are a little less put together. Now the way she stated it was totally wacko, and she, herself, wasn't what I would consider to be 'put together' either, but I did see her point.

I caught it quite by accident last night & now I'll be watching it too! The Psycho Oncologist brought great drama (& comedy) to the show! Can't wait to see what else unfolds!

That Doctor sure is handsome ! Seems very sweet too ~ down to earth type. But in a romantic setting such as Paris, I think I could fall in love with a toad! ;)

I like the girl from Canada. Very cute & seemed to be very real. Also liked Susan (the first one out of the limo). Kind of hope it works out with her or the Canadian girl, since I'm already married! :teeth:

Tonight they are replaying the first episode before they play the second episode. (That is to say there will be two hours of The Bachelor tonight). When they show the first episode they are supposed to have some extra footage of the oncologist confronting Travis at the end. Not sure what else will be different.

I agree. I guess they are intimidated? :confused3
