Cathy

Hello Cathy,

looks like you two are now the second 'Anniversary' couple! Looks like reservations at Palo are in order! ;)

We will be staying at the Radisson on the night before our cruise. Planning on checking in as early as possible to relax and recuperate from the drive, let DS enjoy the pool, and perhaps have supper at Grills to watch the Magic sail by..... Anyone else????

Hi! Great idea for a Sept 21 thread! I was getting jealous seeing all those other cruise threads ;)

We are staying 3 nights at WL before the cruise (still waiting on those AP rates!)

My DS is already driving us crazy! We had to make a paper chain at the 90 day mark for him to take apart each day. Can't believe it's getting shorter.

Wow, sounds like your son is really psyched!

DS is excited about going on the Mickey Mouse Cruise! But, he is also the type who is a bit apprehensive about anything so major, so new and different... First there is starting Kindergarten next month.. and other things too... We will probably make our paper-chain after that - about thirty days out! I think we will play our DCL video this morning!

Anyone made any decisions about shore excursions yet? We're thinking of the glass bottom boat harbor tour in Nassau and the dolphin encounter in Freeport. Both are short so we can back on the ship early.

DH and I have already been to Nassau on our first Disney Cruise and don't feel we'll be missing too much. But I want to make sure my DS gets of the ship atleast for a little while instead of spending his whole cruise in the kids clubs. (He's the type of kid that would spend every minute in there if we let him)

Stimpy,

Seems like I have not heard good reviews about the glass bottom boat ride at Nassau? We are planning to go to Atlantis... I am excited about this as DS just loves aquariums, and the pools and beaches sound just phenomenal. ( I am a beach person - living nowhere near a beach - an added day at the beach is a real plus for us!) The dolphin encounter sounds just wonderful! I have heard excellent reviews of the one at Blue Lagoon at Nassau. I think that might be the one that I would consider? Of course these comments are just based on comments that I have heard here on the DIS!

Freeport for us is a complete open question????? I would like to get off the ship for a short while. But, with DS, who would possibly be frightened, I am afraid that the Dolphin thing might be out of the question. ( Plus, Atlantis may possibly just empty our wallet!)
I am eyeing Discovery Cove for in a year or two!

I hope DS likes the kids Club! I am thinking that our kids will be in different age groups. Yours in the 3-4, mine in the 5-7. Too bad 'cause if DS were to have a ready-made friend, I KNOW he would love the club!!!

Anyone else planning on excursions???? Give us your input!

My wife and I are looking at the catamaran snorkle tour in Nassau. I heard some good things about it and it gives us time to blow some money in the casino at Atlantis in the afternoon.

We are thinking just getting off the ship in freeport to look around, but spending most of our day on ship in the spa.

Thanks for the advice. I think we might do the Garden/city tour thing in Nassau instead, just so we can get off the boat. We live 5 minutes away from the beach, of course no where near as beautiful in the Carribean/Bahamas, but still, we go often. We'd probably be bored by the time we got to Castaway Cay and the beach if we do the beaches at Nassau & Freeport.

We did the city tour last time my DH & I went and thought it was ok but a little rushed. I figure we might like the Garden tour since it has animals and birds, we're big animals fans. And if it's no good, it's not a big deal since it's not too expensive and it's a short tour.

So many decisions to make! It's stressing me out! LOL

My Mom and I are planning on doing the Ardastra Gardens excursion, too. I want to take her on the glass bottom boat excursion, too, I just haven't decided on Freeport or Castaway Cay yet.

Do you guys have any good links to info on Ardastra Gardens? Sounds nice! And, there is a similar Gardens at Freeport too.

I would be interested in snorkeling at Freeport, since we won't get the chance to do the Catamaran Snorkel at Nassau. (Especially with DS.....) This would mean I either go by myself, leaving DH and DS behind... Or else DH and I leave DS in the club while we are completely off the ship and unavailable. Do any of you know of any feedback on the Treasure Reef Snorkeling at Freeport?

Decisions! Decisions!!! :D

Hey.... Jott3, check out our countdown clocks... EXACTLY the same down to the last second!!! Can't wait!!!

Wishing on a Star...........I have had to reschedule my cruise to Sept. 28th.......as bad as I hated to. My parents decided they wanted to go with us so we had to reschedule. You can remove us from your list.

Disneyjumper - I have just removed you from the list.

Actually, I wanted to change ours to the 28th too, after I found out that they scheduled us for Freeport!!! But, would have given up both our early-booking rate, and our SPR too...

Have a WONDERful cruise!!! I am thinking that with your parents, you have 'babysitting' available!!! ;) ;) ;)

Wishing on a Star - My mother keeps my son during the week already and she can't stand to be without him. This is the main reason she is going. Mothers are great babysitters. She also volunteered to take my sisters to kids as well. So now it will be Me, DW, DS(2yrs.), Mother, Father, Niece(7), and Nephew(9) on Sept. 28th. This will be mother, father, niece and nephews first cruise. They can't imagine what they are in store for. I can't wait to see their faces when they see the ship for the first time.

Thanks for removing me from the list. I will now hunt the Sept. 28th thread.

Jott3, thanks for the links! They're very helpful!

DisneyJumper, have a great time!

bump...didn't want us to get lost :D
