It's kind of quiet on here the last couple of days!

What is everyone looking forward to the most about the cruise?

Any other decisions on excursions or spa treatments?

The waiting is the hardest part!

What am I looking forward to the most... Hhhmmm??? Where to begin!!!

One biggie, an evening at Palo, just me and DH!
We don't get out alone very often lately!!! I can just taste the Crab and Shrimp ravioli, the Filet with Gorgonzola, and the Chocolate Souffle.

Two, Castaway Cay!!! Conk Coolers, or Pina Colada's Then going out to the coral reef on the Seahorse Catamaran Snorkel Adventure. That sounds nice!

Being waited on hand and foot!!! (that is my job for all of us 24/7 around here.) NO cooking NO cleaning Just ENJOY!!!!

OMG... just 'Cruising'!!! being on that ship, open water, music and entertainment... etc... I have never cruised before, so this is a big deal.

And, of course, simply being on such a WONDERful vacation with DS and DH!!! No work, No kindergarten, no phones, bills, Dr. appts, etc.... No admission fees, restaurant checks, or car to park..... Just US, spending enjoyable time together, and memories to be made....

Now after writing all of this, I REALLY can't wait!!

I don't think I can pinpoint anything in particular I am looking forward to. I am looking forward to every single thing - the r & r , the shows, the food, spending time with family, Castaway Cay,etc. I have never been soo excited about a vacation. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as excursions go, we are definitly going to go to Atlantis, I just can't decide if we are going to do just the dig or if we want to spend the extra money and do Comfort Inn and be able to use the pools, etc.. Since we live in Florida and we can go to the beach anytime, I'm not 100% sure it will be worth it. But...If I don't, I might be sorry I didn't.

Hey Cathy! Decisions...Decisions...!!!

I know just what you mean. If you live in Florida, then beaches and pools and slides are always available to you. And, with a 2 year old.... Maybe if you head over to Atlantis, and decide to spend the day there, then you could get a room for full access?

I really think DS will LOVE the dig, and hopefully the pools and beach too. I am soooo looking forward to seeing him have the time of his life on this cruise!

Okay the rest of you guys... What are you looking forward to the most? And, Jordan, we already know that you will be sprinting to be the first in line for Palo and the Spa!!!

Sorry, been busy working lately. Yes, I will have my running shoes on for those ressies at Palo and the Vista Spa. I will probably have 2 treatments at the Spa. I think massages are the most relaxing thing I have ever done. You can ask all, I mean all, my friends if I like massages and they will all roll their eyes and go yup.

Serenity Bay at CC is the best. It is so peaceful and beautiful.....2 years ago we were sitting right by the shore when a school of fish swam by, so cool.

Love sitting on the verandah and just chillin'.

Love the alone time late at night or early in the morning.

Love ordering room service at 1:30am and knowing it's free.......

You need to take advantage of your concierge service to get preferred appointments for the Spa and Palo No sprinting!!!

I'm looking forward to EVERYTHING!!!! This is my first cruise..so I'm really excited. Can't wait to see the ship....to taste the food..and to go on the excursions! I'm very excited about the parasailing too! Haven't done it before and I hope I don't chicken out last minute!

I didn't want to rub it in. But yes we already have our Palo ressies for Tuesday at 7pm. My cousin made them today. As for our spa appts, apparently we meet with our concierge staff when we board and they book all of our appts/excursions.

Jen, you will love the cruise. Just plan on relaxing and enjoy being pampered.

We're looking forward top relaxing for a change. DS is really looking forward to going to the kids clubs. He's been talking about it to everyone we meet.

Can all you guys going to Palo's order an extra chocolate souffle for me?

Wow, I think ALL of us are really getting excited and looking forward to the cruise!

I think the planning and anticipation are half the fun!

Jordan- You're so lucky to have Palo ressies already..and not having to worry about them. I'm sure I'll be all relaxed when I get the Palo ressies done with.

Hmm...should I wear my tennis shoes to make sure I get all the ressies I want??

Chubbyjen, Did you decide which nite you want to go to Palo??? Decisions! Decisions!

I am still hooked on the idea of going the last night. Which is probably the most popular night... I hate that we lost our day at sea, 'cause now that last day will be Castaway Cay, Disney Dreams, etc... etc... very busy!!!! Now, whoever said a cruise was relaxing?!

Hey Wishing,

You may want to rethink your decision to do Palo on the last evening as they do this thing called the Chef's Master Series. Each restaurant will serve the best of WDW restaurant dishes. So you may have an appetizer from The Brown Derby, a main dish from California Grill and a dessert from Jiko. Pretty cool and something you may not want to miss. Or if you have to do Palo on the last night. Try to fit both meals in

Oh and we have early seating and our rotation will be Triton's, Animator's Palate, Parrot Cay(Palo instead), Triton's for the Chef's Master Series. Remember the group of 10 Japanese-Americans, we'll be hard to miss.

Does anyone know where we can find out what our "possible" dining rotation would be? I found posts about the 7 nights but couldn't find any for our cruise. TIA

Stimpy, the Passporter book says it is usually:

All adults - T/AP/PC/T
Young kids - AP/PC/T/AP
Older kids - PC/T/AP/PC

Yes, that is the system that I have always heard... But, like you said 'possibly' It seems that they have not been sticking so tightly to this system lately???

With DS(5) we have the greatest possibility of getting the APTA rotation. No offense here... But we really want the TAPT rotation. I like starting out in Tritons... The closest to a usual 'Cruise' dining experience. And, TAPT should have the fewest kids. Don't get me wrong... I totally LOVE kids, and I am 100% devoted to my wonderful precious son! But, from what I hear there can be real difference between the experience of the APTA rotation-early seating... And the TAPT-rotation, late seating.

While DCL does not really give consideration to request for particular rotations... I have requested TAPT. In fact, I just had our TA re-submit this request to DCL in hopes that it might indeed make it's way to the right person. First thing I will do when we check in is to see what our rotation is, and request to change it if necessary.

Jordan, thanks for the tip!!! Since this is our first and only (for a long long time) cruise, and we won't be returning soon... I kinda hate to miss one if the three regular dining rooms. Too bad something has to give! I have heard that the Master Chef menu is much better than it used to be!

Man, now I am getting HUNGRY!!!

No..haven't decided on which day we will skip for Palo. I guess it depends on what rotation we get. If we do get the TAPT rotation, I think we might do Palo the first night. What do you guys think? Will that be okay?

Have you looked at the menus on www.castawayclub.com or www.dcltribute.com Jen? That is probably one of the best ways for you to decide. I want to try for the last night, but I need to come up with an alternative night just in case.

When I went w/DH in 2002 (3-day) our least favorite restaurant/menu overall was Triton's. I liked the camembert appetizer a lot. The tenderloin was ok and DH wasn't crazy about the duck breast.

We liked AP more. The duck and goat cheese flat bread was really good and I don't usually eat duck. The filling in the baked stuffed tomato was good, the roasted chicken breast was good but a little plain.

PC was probably our favorite on the trip. The menu has changed since then, but the steak was really good there.

We didn't go to Palo since it was only a 3-day and our first time.

Any rumors on whether or not they are extending the fireworks past August?

About all the great dining choices....I am really glad we are going on the cruise after my sisters wedding! The 3 of us will never fit into our "wedding attire" LOL
