Morning team~

Happy to report down 1.5 this week. That is definately a HOORAY for me! I guess I did get that reward for making wise choices :teeth: Just got 2 miles in on the tm, too.

Gotta run - not working today - but my mom last night said she would consent to going to a nursing home - I am hoping that can get accomplished today and if not the actual move at least "wheels" moving in the right direction.

MelC - could you post the link so that I can just go directly to where I should be "cheeering". Thanks - since I am limited on time, that would help me get right to the :cheer2: cheering :cheer2: that I want to contribute

Knowing is not enough; we must apply.
Willing is not enough; we must do.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

i came across this quote and thought that might sum up where we are. week 14! yowsa! can you believe it! and think back to where you were when we started this challenge! i can tell you i was about 9 lbs heavier and my jeans were oh so tight. now granted, i don't really 'feel' much different and i can still see areas i wish were toner, tighter and smaller -- but i think we should all give ourselves some KUDOS on our accomplishments throughtout this challenge.

not to mention how much i've enjoyed chatting and getting to know everyone!!

this is going to be a couple of difficult weeks ahead -- no time to post, nothing healthy to pick from at the holiday party, no time to workout.........but we need to remember we are still commited! it may drive us to feel like we should be commited........but NO! we are dedicated!!

i did some formulation on my spreadsheet per Jill's request -- now keep in mind I only have numbers from week 6 on (Amber you can email the first weeks if you still have and i'll add them on, PM me for my email) . So here is the listing of those i have a start and 1/2 weight for:

AEG
ALMom
jayna22
MelC
Mermaid02
momto4obkids
ohMom
Princess Vija
ReAnSt
Debbie
emh1229

daisy_77 and princess@heart please PM me your start weight, even if you did already, sorry i didn't record it!

ok -- from that above mentioned list -- from the start weight to the 1/2 weight we have lost a grand total of 80 pounds!! :rockband: which is 3.63% of our beginning body weight!! girls i think that is FANTASTIC!

ok, now i'm confused, this is week 13 and i'm misisng the past 3 weeks on my tally! what!! i don't have time to investigate now, i'll go back and reenter if need be, but that's weird! hopefully i can find it somewhere in my pc??

ok -- that's my pep take :teeth: today i was very pleased to see i had lost another pound! i haven't been faithful to my sparkpeople so i didn't expect a loss. this is my goal this week -- to JOURNAL!! anyone else need to make that goal with me?? i know what to do, just like the quote, but i need to track it and make sure i'm on target. journaling in my head usually adds weight on my hips!

melanie -- cyber HIGH FIVE on your loss last night!! 3.2 pounds in a week!! GET OUT!!

A real quick post, just about out he door for work.
Was down 3 on Sat but bounced up a pound - so down 2 pounds for the week.

Super busy with WPAPASADI, packing for trip, school, kids, life......................... but I'm still getting in the exercise!!!! YEAH ME, before that's the first thing to go!

Great day everyone!

Hey everyone,
The scale went down even more today.........saw a whole new number. For the BL WI I officially lost 3.4 putting me at 140.8. I'm getting so close to the 130's I can feel it. Its the lowest I've seen all year (only got down to 141.6 in the summer before Disney). I really feel I'm on my way to making my WW goal sometime in January!!

Also, people are starting to notice. Its been since I've lost my original weight that people have noticed anything. I guess going from 156 (or 154 at start of BL) down to 140.8. So even though I feel I look the same, I must be looking thinner - YEAH

Beautiful kitchen, Molli! It makes it worth all of the inconvenience in the end, right? Kind of like childbirth....but took longer. :rotfl:

Mel, you are looking FABULOUS in your new lower number. ::yes:: We won't recognize you when you hit those 30's! Mel, I teach, so I have MY kids-5 of 'em, 3 in university and 2 at home-very busy, and my KIDS the ones at school....that's where I got two new ones last week. I teach first and second grades.

I lost :Pinkbounc 0.5 pounds. (It may have been more, but I'm erring on the conservative side.) :teeth:

Gotta go, one of the biguns calling!

I'm down 2.2 pounds. For a total loss of 61 pounds. :woohoo: :woohoo: Biggest loser lose of 20 pounds.

Congrats to all the losers, everyone else hang in there, keep moving and making healthy choices.

We are doing really well everyone - Woo hoo !

Good morning all! today i'm gearing myself up for a 6 miler, LW for the week. it's chilly out there but i'm planning on an outdoor walk. anything over 4-5 miles on the TM is way mentally tough for me. it's supposed to snow shower here, and was forecasted to start in the wee hours of the morning, but now looks like it's been moved up to

ATTENTION: i still need WI results for:

jayna22

Princess Vija

CONGRATS to everyone that has shown a loss this week!

struggled a bit yesterday -- i finally made those darn brownies for DD bible study group and ate 2. they were soooo good; but the richness and/or sugar gave me a stomach ache!

thanks for checking out my kitchen -- it's been a long 5-6 months!

I'm only down .5
A bit frustrated right now. I'm stressed out beyond belief with school right now, so I know that's part of it.. and I haven't exercised with everything going on (and I NEED to, if only for that stress relief part of it!). But I'm feeling dejected this morning and I need to snap out of it.
On the bright side, we leave for our trip in 27 days. I can't believe it's that soon.
That's another reason to get exercising.. all that walking will be a huge wake up call! :)

Hey!! Sorry i haven't posted yet! I have been out alot trying to get my registration done for college! :cheer2: Now that my youngest is six and in school all day, i get to go to school!! I am sooo excited!!

Well, my weigh in is 0. At least i didn't gain anymore :guilty:

But,i am feeling good and got my exercise in this morning and am on track with my eating!

Amanda

That's the weigh to think, Amanda! And emh, that half a pound translates into, what, 2 sticks of butter? Our butter is in pound blocks, so, I took half a block off, and that is SO much better than a half a block on!

Molli, I hope that your LW went well. It was blustery and cold today! DD15 went with Art and his kids to Buffalo, and they fly out tomorrow. Is there a jealous smilie?? ;)

Becky! 20 pounds! WEIGH to go!

Mel, it looks like you found the talent that you needed. Good luck!

Good Friday morning to all Blue Teammies :teeth:

I shoulda exercised - I didn't - I am not doing so great this week on that - guess it has been a stressful/busy week and busy at night too and then I feel like I walk in the door, in bed, alarm rings and time to do it all over again and so it is very easy to "talk" myself out of getting my buns in gear!

MelC - regarding talents for challenge - even if I did have some talent - I don't have any time to committ. Began the process to move my mom to a nursing home, and I am sure the ohMom (along with other family members) are thinking there will be "presents" under the tree with their name - shopping is a priority this weekend to make that happen :teeth:

Have a good OP day everyone and think about healthy choices this weekend (yes - that comment is really meant for me) but thought I would disguise it as a positive thought for all my fellow teammie members

Hugs to all - and a big BLUE TEAM cheer :cheer2: :cheer2:

'morning - TGIF!

emh -- losing .5 lbs is a SUCCESS! celebrate it!! you didn't gain, you didn't maintain.... YOU LOST!!

amanda -- what are you going to be when you grow up? LOL that's fantastic about going back to school! where? and i agree with Debbie, great attitude!

i did get my LW done yesterday, started kinda snowing and was really winding yesterday after i posted so i ended up going to FC and walking on the TM. blech! i was forced to watch the Today show and Megan Mullally. blech. not horrible, better than CNN or ESPN which were my other choices. but long and short it's done and it was a recovery week so just 6 miles. next week is the big'un

i'm taking today off exercise for major grocery shopping! took DDs christmas shopping last night. we ended up at Red Lobster for dinner, i had soup and salad and the food just wasn't very good. i feel all puffy from all the salt too. regular food for me today

Wow! How does the time fly?!?!?! I can't believe it's Saturday already!

Anyways, bad news to report here. I had just eaten dinner, but my WI on Wednesday was up 2.6!!!  I think I'll re-weigh when I go to the store today.

Also some other good-but-bad news. I'm kinda getting demoted (sp?) at work because my lead teacher talks bad about me to my boss. So starting Jan 2nd, I am now a substitute teacher for our preschool. It was kinda my idea, but only because I don't like working with her. She expects me to read her mind and then gets upset when I don't do things exactly the way she would. She also doesn't like it when I make suggestions that are different to her way of doing things. And she is totally unreasonable about the amount of toys in the room. They are all over the floors, and I think it makes the room feel chaotic and the kids get grumpy, not to mention constantly tripping and getting hurt. We're just not a good fit for each other. So maybe being a sub will be good for me (just not my bank account).

Anyways, so now I don't have to worry about getting the time off for our Jan Disney trip. And I will have a more flexible schedule to get more school work done and getting to the gym. :yay:

Today I am finally getting around to the Christmas decotaring. I usually do it after the 1st of December, but the past few days have been busy and emotional.

So.... congrats on all the weight losses! You girls are SO AWESOME!!! :cheer2:

And Molli... I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your kitchen. It's perfect!!! I'm sure you're happy it's done! :woohoo:

Okay, so I'm gonna get some breakfast and get working on the decorations. Have a great weekend everyone!

I just wanted to pop in and see how everyone's doing.
WTG Molli you're such an inspiration getting in there and getting those walks done!!
Amber Sorry about your job. I totally remember what it's like to work directly with someone who's so different. Hopefully it'll work out! It sounds like you're looking at the bright side :thumbsup2
Becky-You're an awesome gal!!! You've lost gobs of weight, I'm so proud of you! :cool1:
Bev- Sorry to hear about your mom, I hope the home works well for everyone. She's happy and taken care of, and you're happier for less worry!
Amanda- cool starting college, but we won't be seeing the "freshman 20" on you will we? Good job on maintaining. During this time of year that's all I can hope for, and the rest is just gravy (low fat kind of course)
Debbie-You're doing great, every loss counts!!
emh- half pound is great. I agree with the exercise idea, it helps so much. So have you gotten any in? Hopefully it'll calm down for you during the holiday break.

As for me I'm all right, I haven't done as much exercise as I would have liked. But have lost 1 more pound. That takes me to 54 ounds lost!! DANG only 1 little pound shy of my vaca goal of 55. Oh well I'll catch up later.
We leave for disney in a few hours, so I won't be here until the 20th.

I'M LEAVING FOR DISNEY IN 6 HOURS, AND ARRIVING IN MCO IN 21 1/2 HOURS! :cheer2:

Have a good trip, Jill! I know that you'll enjoy the weather. And the few splurges in food that you make won't affect your progress, I promise. I actually came back from Free Dining in August down a pound or two. :thumbsup2

Amber, you can look at the positive spin that life is throwing at you right now, and that is terrific! No worries on the Disney trip. And what can I say? How about "Studpid scale!" Where have I heard that before? :rotfl:

Bev, you are in my thoughts and prayers as you go about this difficult time. Hopefully, your mom is okay with the changes-in her heart, as well as her head. She knows that you have her best interests at heart.

Molli, I believe that shopping can get our heart rates up. Move fast, check those prices, and voilà, right in the target zone. :lmao:

We had a snow day yesterday....the entire board....which is a first. I did some of my Christmas baking with my youngest (whose idea is I'll tell you what I want, and you can make it, Mom). It was a quiet, and reflectful day. (DH and DD did the shovelling out-I :cheer2: ) Today, she is headed to a birthday sleepover, so it is time for finishing up the wrapping  So the next two weeks should prove fairly restful....except for the recitals which have been cut in half since DD15 is in---WDW! :Pinkbounc

Today, I WILL drink the water. I WILL eat my veggies. Have a good day, Ladies. Stay on course. We CAN do this-one step at a time!

I am here to say that I tm'd 8 miles today !!!! Hooray - now, it's not 13 so, still not making the final decision about walking the half in Jan -BUT - I was very excited to make 8 happen !!!

I skimmed posts and will be back later to post to all but - Jill if youi are reading before you leave YOU ARE A WINNER and .one stinking number on those scales means NOTHING - you are a trooper and HAVE DONE an excellant job - now go have FUN - it's gotta be warmer than home - ENJOY  :Pinkbounc

Have a good weekend everyone - thanks for the positive thoughts for getting things in order for my mom. She has not gone yet (still no bed for her open) but she is doing okay and last night on the phone said she is "still going" whew - that is the part I don't like about a possible 2 week wait is she might change her mind! We do have someone helping her and that seems to be working well, too.

Gotta shower and then move on with my "to do" list - it's WAY WAY too long but I walked 8 miles and I am smiling ...............so now I have to shower so I don't "smell" so bad :rotfl:

:wizard: :wizard: to all for good choices on eating this weekend (yes, another reminder to me too)

Amber- I'm sorry to hear about your job changes. Hopefully it will be less stressful for you, though, because I know how tough it can be to work with people who are stubborn like the woman you described! I have definitely been there before :)

Jill- thanks for the support! I'm planning to go for a walk tomorrow morning and I'm going to take the kids with me so DH can sleep (he works late tonight). I hope the kids cooperate & keep their hands to themselves :) This is going to be my test run to see whether or not it's feasible to take them with me- if it works, then I will be able to do it much more often!
