S10 Palau – Episode 2 - REWARD CHALLENGE: THE GAUNTLET As the tribes met for the Reward Challenge, host Jeff Probst explained that this Challenge would involve balance. The players were to run through a "gauntlet" bridge, requiring them to cross several floating obstacles over water in order to collect flags on the other side. As they were crossing, two opposing tribemembers would be hurling swinging bags of sand at them all the while. If knocked off, the player would be forced to go back to the beginning. The first tribe to collect all 10 of their flags would win a Reward consisting of fins, mask and a Hawaiian fishing sling.

The competition got off to a furious start as Coby and James Miller, the 33-year-old steelworker from Mobile, Alabama, negotiated the course despite the opposing tribe's attempt to sandbag them off. Both tribes found it difficult to complete the course without falling into the water. However, Ulong jumped out to a sizeable lead as Katie Gallagher, the 29-year-old advertising executive from Merced, California, had great difficulty finishing the rope swing.

Mastering the course with ease, Angie collected flag after flag for her Ulong tribe in what was turning out to be a rout. After receiving some tutelage from Willard Smith, the 57-year-old lawyer from Bellevue, Washington, Katie finally made it across the rope swing. But it was too little, too late, as Ulong eventually placed the tenth and final flag into place in order to secure the much coveted Reward.

S10 Palau - Ep10:IC 'LAST GASP' Immunity

As Koror assembled for the Immunity Challenge, Jeff Probst explained that the Survivors would be tested in the water during a rising tide. A steel cage would be set up in the water at low tide, with the castaways huddled inside under a steel tier. With the rising tide, the Survivors must fight for air, and the last player to stay under the cage would win Immunity. Raising the stakes, Jeff Probst added that the first one out would have to endure a night alone on an unknown beach.

No spoiler yet on who wins immunity or who gets voted off.

Ummmm, Phamtom?? Did you post the wrong reward challenge? It mentions Ulong?:confused3 Or are they repeating that challenge for the current Survivor? The previews showed Erik(? - one of the guys with long hair) falling pretty hard.

OK - color me confused. But at least I know its not on this week, thanks for the heads up gang.

Oops ignore everything I said. I'll get the correct spoilers tomorrow. I think I'm going senile.:confused3

I thought you were playing a cruel joke on us who wanted spoilers. :lmao: I'm ready to highlight when you post the new spoilers.

There will probably be more spoilers next week since we skip a week of Survivor. Sorry about my blunder yesterday.

So this is just speculation from one spoiler site:

Yeah, who is excited for tonight...It seems like forever since the last episode! I think this season has been great so far...definitely one of the best:thumbsup2

I'm looking forward to the episode tonight! I'm enjoying the season so far, but I don't think the people from the Fans tribe have been very interesting. I suppose they had to skip an week to make up for having two people leave in 2 back-to-back episodes, otherwise the season may have ended up being a week or 2 shorter than usual. Who knows. I don't remember them skipping a week before. Usually if they don't show a new episode on Thursday they have a "recap" episode, or show the episode on Wednesday.

Eliza "That can't be the idol"
Jason "Why not?"
Eliza "Cause it's just a stick!!":lmao:

:happytv: Best line ever! Can't wait to see next week's episode.

I laughed so hard at that! I hope he's still stupid enough to use it.

Me too! ME TOO!! :rotfl: :happytv: :lmao: I really hope Jason doesn't trust (thinks maybe she is trying to 'steal' it from him? ) and uses it!

Anyone else wonder if the discussion at tribal council ever influences how they are getting ready to vote? Ami sure had me feeling sorry for him and thinking about keeping her. I see why they got rid of her but she sure made a good case for herself at council. I was thinking it was simply too late. I believe the decisions are made at camp and people would be afraid to switch at council because of their alliances.

OMG, Jason is just dumb as a rock, isn't he!:rotfl2: YOu have to wonder, just how big of "fans" are these guys?!?

Not sorry to see Ami go, I ofund her annoying the first time around, and kind of pathetic this time. Glad to see Erik is still there, he seems like a nice kid.

I think they decide, mostly, before tribal council. YOu can change your vote, obviously, based on what is said, but how do you know your alliance will do the same thing? So you're really taking a chance. And especially the favorites, they've BTDT--in general, they seem to have much more of a feel for the game, and the end-game, specifically. More than one of them have been victims of getting backstabbed.

I think the "Fans vs. Faves" was a huge mistake. The faves have been getting their butts handed to them since Day 1.

Good episode......

I kind of think they should have kept Ami like Amanda said because they know what to expect from her. But on the other hand, Eric is so puppy dog like and star struck that I think they are hoping he will do whatever he can to stick with the favorites (so therefore expendable later).

Did anyone notice how unexcited Parvati was at winning the challenge? I am guessing that her and James wanted to lose immunity so that they can start picking off some of the fans on their tribe before the merge.

I hope Jason plays the stick. That will be the best Tribal Council ever (after Jamies fake idol last time, although she wasn't so sure it was real.....Jason really thinks his is:rotfl2: ). With the way they keep referring to it week after week it probably means it does get played in some way.

I think they realized that she would jump ship the minute the 2 tribes merged. Plus, since she is so convincing with all the tears and sincerity, she'd be able to do it. I think they made a smart decision. The fans still outnumber the favorites.

Is it just me or is Ami really hot?

One of the favs called Jason a loser and said he was star struck or something. Please - Get over yourself. The favs are no bigger stars than the fans.

Why is Cirie still there?

Amanda is a little too comfortable with her posistion. Just because she's hooking up with Ozzie, doesn't mean she's going to win.

I think they did the best thing keeping Eric. I think he will stay loyal to Ozzy and probably the others.
Ami would have flipped the minute she found a taker.

I hope he plays the stick too. That would be hilarious. Plus that girl from their tribe was with Ozzy whent they "found" the idol hiding spot. So she may tell her tribe he doesnt have it but someone found it
