** OFFICIAL Survivor: Cook Islands Thread ** ‘Survivor’s’ new racial divide

I like Yul, but I really hope they force him to play the idol. That would really shake the game up.
Yul has in effect played the Idol. He used it to flip Jonathon and has disclosed it to the rest of the players/tribe. Everyone knows that he has the idol and so no one is going to vote for him while the idol is in play. The only way that the Idol will come into play is if Yul gives it to another player as part of a plan to control who the final four will be.

Not that I think it's going to happen with the group that's left... but couldn't they still force Yul to use the idol?

4 votes Yul
3 votes whoever they decide goes next (Adam would be my choice) ;)
Yul has to use the idol and 3 vote person goes home.

Or even a 2 - 1 split would work if they can get 4 folks to vote for Yul
Or for some interesting TV - 4 votes Yul and 3 votes split between 3 different people.
Then we could see what they would do with a tie.
:teeth:

Of course the immunity necklace could throw a kink into any type of plan like that.
And it presupposes trust and working together.
Like I said, I don't see it happening with this group. :rotfl:

I do think it would be the smart move for just about everyone though.
IMO Yul is getting too cocky and has way too much control.

Of course the control thing could still come back and bite him.

I agree. I would like to see Ozzy win it. Yul is starting to sound a bit cocky.
If Sundra & Ozzy were smart, they would force the idol to be played. They could side with Adam and Pavarti <gasp>, vote Yul out and Jonathon as a back up.
I think Becky may be too loyal to Yul to defect on him.

I do not recall any Survivors that actually stuck together until the final four. Right? Someone always gets paranoid & jumps ship.

I hope Adum and Pavarti start playing the game now, that would really make it interesting, instead of sitting around snuggling waiting to be waited on. If they tried to stay in the game, they might be able to turn things against Yul, who I like, but is rather cocky and needs to be brought down a notch.

Go Ozzie!!!! He's my vote!

I don't seee Yul as cocky, just confident.

So, do you think that now Candace is gone, Adam and Pavarti will be locking lips?

I think Parvati is a little smarter than that. Do any of you watch Survivor Live on the internet? candace was on there Friday and she seemed embarrassed about the whole Adam thing and said they are NOT a couple now.

I also don't see Yul as overconfident, just the only one in the game who is playing like it's chess--thinking several moves ahead. I think most seasons, you have people agreeing on a final four, and after that, it's every man (or woman!) for himself (or herself!--Sorry--too much Monty Python in our house). I mean, Becky may not like to hear it, but although she and Sundra have been great in group challenges, they haven't shone yet on individual immunity. Eventually Aitu is going to have to turn on each other.

jjohnson--I think in several Survivors, mostly they've stuck together. Maybe the "big switch" ones stick out in your mind more? There have been times when the larger group knocks off most of the smaller group, but then one or two remain longer due to getting immunity. I don't see Aitu switching sides at this late date. Besides, that's why I think Yul didn't want to get rid of Johnathan--even if they still would have had the numbers (4 vs.3), then it would have only taken one person to switch. Now, it's 5/2--Adam and Parvati would have to switch 2 people. Much tougher.

Adam needs to go. He is the most cowardly individual that I have seen on Survivor. I think he showed a bit of character by winning immunity last week, but just a bit (who else saw that cocky strut just before winning). I think Adam wants Survivor dating game (not too much available in the brain department). He talks about people but cannot be confrontive (I believe he has a full understanding of his lack of people skills and intelligence). He has women do all of his work for him (a male primadonna) :joker:

Candace - not very bright. She has not shown anyone that she can be smart or cunning. She has some athletism, but not much upstairs with people skills. Also, she has played the fool with Adam and I am glad that Jeff exposed Adam's sleeziness at tribal council. (The stupid kissy kiss and then Jeff saying if it was love he would have given you the idol). Also remember, it was Adam that took Candace out of third place! popcorn::

Pavarti - jokable. Not very bright, either. Tries to use her 'sex' to win people over, but I don't think it worked (except for Adam - who will go for anything and Nate :joker: - who would follow Adam on anything). :surfweb:

Sundra - Credible, loyal to her tribe. Not very athletic.

Becky - Cunning and smart. Mildly athletic with a clear loyalty to her tribe and Yul. princess:

Ozzy - Very athletic and good with politics and general people skills. :woohoo:

Yul - Highly intelligent, highly athletic and easy to look at. :woohoo:

Jonathan - Cunning however, made an impulsive move to switch (but he did it cause Candace did). I think he is playing it very well and will make the final two (everyone should bring him in because no-one will vote for him). :stir:

My desire: Yul or Ozzy with Jonathan as #2 to vote against.

No-one on Tongo tribe deserves to win. They were all a bunch of whining cry-babies who much rather have sex with each other instead of play a game. Go back to day-care, Tongo.

I thought the first season they did- Richard, Sue, Rude & Kelly decided I think before the merge that they would stick it through to final four.

And then I think Lex, Ethan and Tom stuck it out until the final four or five in Africa. (they were only 3 strong though....)

Robinrs - Great minds think alike!

I am routing for Jonathan all the way. The fact that he is still there with all the silliness surrounding him shows that he is a survivor. He may not be the most likeable, but he is probably one of the best players of the game out there! Sort of like Richard. He might not have been the most popular choice, but he deserved to win!

It was making me so mad when Candace et al. were telling Johathan that they'd never vote for him because of the snake that he was. Bah! That is the point of the game!

People are too nice on this show. :)

Interesting article in our local paper today about the racial divide. Here's the link: Survivor Article But what's REALLY interesting is the little article on the side: "A Theory on how to Predict the Winner". This guy is predicting that Parvati wins. UGH! :scared1: I am sooooo hoping this guy is wrong!!! At this point, I want anybody EXCEPT Adam and Parvati to win; I'd even be happy if Jonathan won, because at least he was playing the game. Stabbing people in the back, switching alliances, that's all part of the game.

This article also confirms that there will be a final THREE with a jury of 9. Hmmm.....we could possibly have a 3-way tie, but I doubt it.

I think Parv is going home tomorrow night. With a bad cut like that, plus it would explain how they would get rid of an extra player.

I knew Jonathan was going. This happens at the same time every season. Paranoia sets in and they don't stick with their plan. It usually backfires.

Very disappointing tribal council. HOw can Aitu send Jonathan home and leave Amliss Adam to stay. I am very disappointed in Yul, Ozzy, Becky and Sundra.

I think Sundra changed Becky's mind and then Yul discussed it with Ozzy.

To see Pav and Adam still in this game is utterly disgusting to image not only to conceive.

Now, everyone is against Ozzy or Ozzy is going to side with Adam and Pav?

This game went downhill very fast. Two thumbs down. :upsidedow :upsidedow :upsidedow :upsidedow :upsidedow :upsidedow :snooty:

Bad Move!

Yup! One of those Tongo dummies is going to win and it's all the fault of this tribal council.

Bad move Aitu!
