Official Star Wars Weekends 2014 Tips and Tricks

Fp+ for parades and fireworks open up close to a week ahead of time. I'm sure as soon as the first person notices the Fp+ availability, they'll post the news here. I don't have tickets attached to MDE, I use CM ticket media, so I'm unable to check nor have Fp+... bummer.

I'm in the same boat, going with a cast member who has main entrance and guest passes so even though we're staying at a Disney resort and already have our magic bands, we still can't book FP+. Hopefully it's not impossible to book our FP+'s as soon as we enter the park.

Those show times are such a big plus!

I'm tweaking Friday June 6th as we speak.

We have one AP linked to MDE with a room rsvp so can see thru the end of June for FP+.

Nothing yet for any of these shows but Fantasmic is listed as available.
We're passing on it since we have the Feel the Force pkg.

Sat is a day we're leaving for whatever didn't work out Friday - be it an autograph or show or parade photos or characters etc.

No dining plans except for the Sci Fi breakfast 8:05 on Friday.

Trying to keep it simple. It's a full plate though. But I'm glad we have the 2nd day as a backup.

That early am autograph line-up along with a full day of events is going to be the biggest challenge on stamina, BUT heck! we did the 24hr stint last year at the MK so this should be a piece of cake.

can't wait to hear back from everyone this month!!!

I think you are approaching it the right way!!

Outstanding! TK armor is not an easy thing to manage, but, with time and patience, it is able to be done. And, since you are doing TK, I would recommend the black officer with the 4 blue button rank bar (that is a Stormtrooper officer, so it would go nicely with the TK costume and work with your persona, if you want to go that route). ANd don't be fooled, the officer costumes are not the easiest things to sew. They do take time and patience, as well.

Very kewl, thank for the tip on the black uniform - 4 blue buttons signifying Stormtrooper Officer, sound fun to me!!! And well Black, doesn't get as dirty, and I am bound to make a mess sooner or later, cause IT'S ME!!!

I know that officer's uniforms are like suits so yeah they can be a pain... I just figure it's something I can work on, on the side, while I am trying to get my TK going. Two roads that lead to marching in next years SWW Motorcade are better than one, and if I get them both done maybe I'll march one costume one weekend, and the other the next!

BUT if both my boyfriend and I bring our TKs we might be down instead of flying next year.

NOW just waiting for FP+ anouncement for shows what sucks is if any one of these shows is Tier One in that FP system of thiers it's going to screw everything up. BUT then again today is the day that once you use up all your FP+ you are supposed to be able to get more...

This is going to be a fun game of chess, moves and counter moves, to FP or not to FP.... Runs screaming around the room!!!!

This is my first trip to WDW and I'm a but of a Star Wars and vinylmation nut. Does anyone know where the best place to get vinylmations is, and is there any chance I would be able to get my hands on a Rancor?

The planning for this weekend seems soooo crazy!

I have been stalking MDE waiting for the FP+. The show Mark Hamill is doing is the Stars of the Saga correct? It is at 4:45 on June 6th, so if we don't get FP+, how early should we line up?

I'm guessing as early as you possibly can, or as early as they will allow you to, whichever comes first. I doubt they will allow anyone into the actual line until at least after seating starts for the Behind the Force show. The big question is, will the majority of those waiting for SOS show up earlier than that and clump around in that area, and if they do, will they be allowed to.

My gut answer for this one would be "Darth Mall" which is located this year on a sound stage by Toy Story Mania.

Disney does hold a large percentage back for rides and attractions. They will probably do the same for this so they don't have a lot of angry "day of" guests who are coming in specifically for SWW.

I know last year when we were there we definitely saw Woody and Buzz from toystory in there location accross from Toy Story Mania, I am not sure about any of the Cars Characters.

Lightning & Mater do not interact. They are just replicas that people can take photos with. At least, that was our experience in Nov '12 & '13.

When I did SWW a few years back ('06) all the regular characters were out doing meet & greets. That year I got my picture with Daisy, Friar Tuck & Robin Hood as well as Clariece (who was with Chip & Dale). There were others out as well, but they were characters I already had my picture with.

Star Wars Characters I got the last year I went were: Darth Vader, Emperor w/his guards, Luke Skywalker, Aurra Sing, Queen Amadala, Commander Cody, Mace Windu, Shaak Ti, an Ewok who's name I don't know and Jedi Mickey. The line for Chewbaca was to long for me at the time.

Thanks for the responses everyone! I'd love to see Buzz Lightyear or Woody talk to the Star Wars characters there, especially because there were so many Star Wars references in Toy Story!

I see everyone talking about Chewbacca, and last year he was with Ewoks on the weekend we were there. I haven't seen anyone mention this. Does he usually have Ewoks with him or was that unusual? DD really wants a pic with an Ewok (and she would take one home if she could
