I haven't read the entire thread, so I apologize if this has been asked already: Anyone know what type of merchandise will be there this year?

We missed out on getting a Darth Mickey a few years ago, and I always hope that we'll run into him again at another SWW...

If anyone is interested in meeting I'll be there every Saturday and Sunday of SWW, just let me know. Maybe we can come up with one spot and one time for all weekends so as to not confuse anyone.

My DD was Leia for Halloween last year and I made her a headband similar to this, but with lighter colored yarn to better match her hair color. She plans on wearing this at least some times during the day. She also has a "These are not the Droids you are looking for" T-shirt and a handmade Minnie Mouse silhoette using Star Wars logo fabric. Need to find some Ts for DH. I plan on wearing tanks and doing some elaborate braids for my hair.

We are getting so excited!! Counting down the days!

I'll be wearing SW t shirts, but DGrD9 is in the process of making pieced sundresses - one in Jango motif, one in R2D2. Her first sewing project, so we'll see how they come out. She is dying to recreate the Lake Dress for Amidala but I don't have time for all that- she is my Project Runway lover. lol
PS: it has ALWAYS been VERY hot on our SWWs - I cannot imagine how people wear the costumes they do.

OMG The Lake Dress is my daughter's favorite, I saw a girl wearing it last SWW, beautiful, but I have no sewing skills at all, I can barely sew a button in place
SW is not very good for for outfits in the Mustafar/hot conditions we have during SWW...

Conflicting reports...just called D-Tech reservations number 407 939 8324 and Carbon Freeze Me will be available for SWW no date on when you can make reservations, aditionally, after using my super sleuthing abilities (me going on the HUB and searching) there will be another option available that I don't think was available last year:
a Storm Trooper figure offering. Storm Trooper figure will feature the Guests' likeness wearing the Storm Trooper uniform holding the helmet
I asked the CM at D-Tech and she confirmed this...so start saving

1) As to heat - stay hydrated. Being form New Orleans, myself, the heat is not really a bother. Additionally, the 501st does call the parade the "Florida Death March" for a reason - all those armor costumes are HOT on any given day, much less when the sun is beating down on you.

2) Meetups - It would be pretty cool to have one on the 24th or 25th. My personal preference would be for an afternoon meetup on Friday or a morning meetup on Saturday (as those times work best for my touring plan). But, consensus will decide, so, I will roll with what works best for the most people.

Agreed - I wasn't very interested in the Carbon Freeze, but the storm trooper is a different story..! IF the face is done well though. I wasn't very impressed with the faces on the carbon :/

I did Carbon Freeze last year and liked it. I just don't want to have to come up with another hundred for this trip. I'm already pushing my budget as it is, and with likely 501st stuff to order, too, I am at my limit.

How have I never heard of Her Universe? I'm so ordering that rebel tank and wearing that during SWW. That'll be perfect for the heat.

I got the red shirts with the Chinese characters, the black one with Darth Vader and Spanish words, the R2D2 my hero... and have money saved to see what she brings this year. I also have a pair of Rebel earrings.

I wore that headband to SWW last year and plan to be reusing. Trying to talk DH into Han Solo outfit. Our 4 kids dress up as Luke, Darth Vader, Queen Amidala and the baby is R2D2.

I'm hoping there will be an event exclusive too, like there was for Celebration VI.

I just bought it, the v neck is not that low and the size on it runs a little big, but after I washed it it did shrink a little. I don't like tight fitting shirts so it's great for me

New to dis threads. DH and I will be going weekend 2 and this will be our 4th SWW. I don't know if this was mentioned earlier, but do we think that the cancellation of clone wars tv series will impact SWW? I mean, what would the clone wars show be about and will there still be a lot of clone wars celebs?

The cancellation of Clone Wars is definately a disappointment for Clone Wars fans. However with Season 5 being such a big season, I'm sure that there will be just as big of a Clone Wars presence this year as last. There are future Arcs to come as Dave Filoni promised.
