Rumor is the reservations don’t guarantee access
Where are you hearing this?

If a reservation acts as your boarding pass and guarantees entry into the land I am definitely reconsidering how early to arrive. I am never going to be one of the first on opening day. So might sleep in more than I was planning.

We currently have a noon at Oga’s, a 5:10 at Savi’s and another 7:15pm at Oga’s for opening day.

We are saving the droid depot for our Nov trip.

I'll probably still keep an eye on 9/1-9/4 to see how quickly wait times go up for MFSR (and all the others really) to determine what time we arrive. I'm hoping to have all the Tier 1 rides at HS knocked out by 915am

WDW, if you're reading here, you really need to put out something official telling folks what the rules will be concerning ADRs and a possibly full-to-capacity land. You really do not want to slam DHS Guest Relations with a gazillion people with ADRs who weren't allowed entry and got charged no-show fees.

I'm sorry I should've been more specific. There is a woman who commented on The Dis Facebook post about the story concerning reservations. She said she called and spoke to Disney Customer Service and they said it doesn't guarentee anything. Now that could be nonsense I don't know, but she seemed adamant. I don't understand how it would work with the charges either. I mean she said that the person she spoke to said to said you missed your res because of capacity you wouldn't be charged. I just don't get how Disney would know why you missed the reservation. I guess they could just be keeping track of park capacity but that seems iffy.

Meh, those cm's don't know anything at the moment. Saw a post the other day someone claiming to be a cm in GE and said there's no way their doing reservation/boarding pass system. They're always the last to know

I would agree, there's been a lot of misinformation so who knows at this point. Also I suppose plans could always change either way. The whole thing with the reservations though, I have one for 3 at Savis, and one for 630 at Oga's (on the 29th). So if that's an automatic entry, when do I get to go in? Whenever I decide to get there?

I guess I'm glad I booked Oga's for our AP preview bc I couldnt get one single reservation from Aug 29-Sept 5!] I sure hope they have the rancor sampler and other souvenir cups for the preview on aug 21

They really do. It only makes sense to, just like with Pandora, if you had a FP you could get into the land. And that didn't even involve cancellation no show charges.

Ugh! I was just too little, too late. That's what I get for taking my eyes off the boards to get my school work done...I'm just gonna keep checking for a 9/1 evening or 9/2 morning reservation at Oga's for 4 over and over and over and over and over andoverandoverandvovhewaiofh;klgdoihwsg;ikaehgiw;gds... 😭 🙃
I'll be stalking for 9/1 as well. Was able to get all 3 experiences for our Christmas trip, but nothing for 9/1. Guess we'll be rope dropping with 1 million of our closest friends after all....and droids and lightsabers may have to wait a few months! :)
I'm looking for the same dates but for 2 people #thoughts&prayers
I'll be stalking for ANY reservation Aug 29-Sept 1. Also couldnt get Savi's at all dec 9-15 for our trip with son and dil. Very frustrating! I managed to get 1 for a droid for dil and 1 Savi's for son in Dec but absolutely no Cantinas available. Do we think something is wrong with booking Oga's? I cant imagine all of the reservations are taken. We're a 2 hour plane ride away so it isnt like we can just hop in the car and go :( I dont care so much if dh and I can go but I would like our Star Wars loving son to be able to.

Sigh. I am on these boards WAY more than I should be on a daily basis (desk job). I decided to take today off to take the kids to a local amusement park. Quality time = not checking the internet till 6pm

No chance in hell of getting Oga’s during our trip. I WAS able to book Savi for my husband and Droid Depot for both kids. I made them on 2 separate nights. Droid Depot still has okay availability but Savi is now booked solid for even 1 person the week I’m there. You can’t even click the days anymore to check.

I got an Oga’s reservation for six on the day I wanted at the time I wanted. Now I just want input on whether it is something we want to keep. It’s for my family of 6 which is 2 adults and 4 kids. I know they have non-alcoholic specialty drinks too, I’m just not sure how much the whole atmosphere would appeal to kids (ages 5-12). Any input from someone who has been to the DL version? If it is a cool experience I’ll keep it, but if it really is more adult oriented with a bar feel I may drop it.

Historically they have always allowed anyone with an ADR or Fastpass into restricted areas. I really don't think they're going to get weird on you now. I guess a "phase 4 closure" might keep you out, and everyone else, but IMO that's about it.

I don’t think you would be the only one with kids there but with the exception of DJ Rex, I’m not sure what else kids would be interested in....you could just peek in, have a drink, then pop out? There might be more info if you search the Disneyland forums and ask there.

I noticed for my dates (Nov 17-22) Oga's Cantina's scheduled opening is 6AM. Has anyone been able to book that early in the morning? The Extra EMH aren't supposed to go beyond November 2nd. Can't say I'd be thrilled to hear them be extended, because I don't think I can be that early of a morning person.

The earliest I’ve been able to get was 9:55 am
