I have my second second interview tomorrow and I am so nervous... And I did not hear back from the first second interview, which makes it all so much more uneasy.. I just hope that everything will work out tomorrow.

Uff...just finish my interview! This one was for the PI in op. finance. I could not tell how I did but the interviewer seemed really nice and I hope for the best..

What's going on with yours? Did you hear anything back??

I've noticed that every single interviewer has been extremely nice! On my last interview, it was the same way...I dont know how well she thought I did, but she was extremely nice and supportive. No, I haven't heard anything yet!

My recruiter said they would be sending me a packet in the mail with additional information. You should have received an email directing you to an online form to officially accept your offer to be a PI and to request your name be placed in the Northbridge housing lottery. I havn't received my packet yet. All I know is that housing will be decided on November 14. Also, check in is January 12. I can't wait. I am sure we will run into one another! I am nervous about getting an apartment, though. I really want to get Northbridge! I wanted to apply for the marine internship but I am not SCUBA certified. I am very happy with what I got, though!

I guess that is about the same as what I know. Thanks though! Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. The guy that called me didn't say anythign about the packet, just the email. I am so excited. I am hoping to get into Northbridge too! So good luck to you on that. Of all the posts and webpages I've checked out, I have yet to see anyone who hasn't gotten in. They were really strict on the SCUBA thing. They asked me about it every time I spoke to anyone. Yours sounds awesome though. I was thinking about applying for that as well. Animal Kingdom is so neat. Have you been? I'd love to come by and check out what you guys are doing. Im guessing the Animal kids will probably have time to interract. I did not know that PI offers housing; I thought that was offered only for CP! This is something I would really need too, since is pretty hard to afford to live in Orlando on an intern wage.. But if you say they will decide who gets housing on Nov 14.. I wonder if that is the deadline for all the PI, though? Does anyone know if one could request housing before they got accepted (just to put in for it) or if they get that option (automatically??) when they receive the PI? Thanks..

Hey Roz...
Yeah, they do offer housing for PI's. Its a little more expensive. It's at a complex called Northbridge that Disney doesn't own but leases. Its about 120 something a week. The building is located in Millenia, about 20 minutes from the parks. When you accept your internship, you have the option of putting your name into the lottery for a spot. Thats what they are supposed to let us know on the 14th. My recruiter told me that if you dont get into Northbridge, they give you lots of resources to help you find housing elsewhere. Good luck in the mean time.

Yes folks. This may be the last time you hear from me before my interview. I have school until 9 pm and then I head for Orlando. I got a hotel room for two nights. I figure the first night will help with stress and all. When I get up tomorrow morning, I won't have to rush very much. They moved my interview from MGM to Wide World of Sports though. I was a little disappointed about that. They said that there is not enough parking due to Soap weekend and Veteran's day. Whatever! I will be just happy getting it over. I feel pretty confident but I am worried that I might get real nervous right before the interview. I don't know why those clam me up so bad. Well gotta go load up the car. Thanks for all of your support guys. I know this thread has really made me feel better about the whole thing. I know that I probably won't know anything directly after the interview but wouldn't that be nice? I'm sure this is the final round for Retail Management because she told me that this was the only interview day. We'll just have to wait and see. Thanks again for everything.

I just received an email from my recruiter/trainer that said packets for our department "animal programs" will go out after the housing drawing, and right around Thanksgiving. So for now, I guess I wait.

I can't wait until January! Only four more days until we know about Northbridge. I am crossing my fingers. If I do not get Northbridge, I will be obviously looking for another apartment and possibly a roommate. If anyone in animal programs is interested let me know. Hopefully Northbridge will work out, though. I have a good feeling. Everyone else just hang in there. Everything happens for a reason.

We're on the same page as far as housing goes. I hope we can all get into Northbridge, but if not the Animal Program kids should definately work something out. Let's just keep up communication on the board while we wait.

Hey Amber, and all,

My name is Laura! I applied for an internship back in April when I learned I was an alternate for Vet school. I was on pins and needles all summer but an opening never came so I have to wait a whole year. I have reapplied for Vet school and am now just waiting. Not getting in was crap because I have years of clinical experience and a 3.8 GPA and I went to undergrad at University of Tennessee (UT has a Vet school). I went to talk to the dean and he told me I needed "large animal experience." Granted, I had never formerly worked with horses or what not, but now I can go back and tell him that you can't get much larger then an elephant!!! I was super bummed about not getting in, but everything happens for a reason and the reason was THIS! I can't wait to meet all of you in January. This is going to be an experience of a lifetime.
