Hi all! I received my official congratulations letter in the mail today! I'm sure all of yours are in the mail as we speak. 2 more days until Northbridge or not. I really don't want the hassle of finding my own place.

Did you get a packet of information or just a letter saying you got in? Did you get an offer over the phone last week or the week before or something like that?

I'm waiting to get some more info - I accepted my offer over the phone and then filled out an online acceptance form. Is that all you've done?

The letter was basically a hardcopy of the congratulations email, but I get totally excited about that kind of stuff. It outlined again arrival time and actually gave a time frame of check in (9am - 12pm). It also stated that if accepted to live at Northbridge than a $60 deposit was due at check in. I have no idea if we are expected to actually work that day. At the very least an orientation? My formal and oh so elusive "packet" has not arrived yet. I suspect this will come after the housing lottery has occured. This way apartment guides can be included if need be.

You won't have to work on check-in day -- I don't even remember there being meetings or anything to go to once I checked in, but I didn't live at Northbridge during either of my internships. I do think there's a meeting in the afternoon for those who move into housing.

Your packet is just the forms you'll need to bring with you when you come down -- basic employment stuff, like a W4, Cast handbook, look book, policies, etc. We used to put them together when I was in casting. It does (or did, at least) come in a very nice black "Disney Professional Recruiting" folder, at least!

Accepted my role in Guest Relations today. I'm so excited to have this opportunity! :thumbsup2

Congrats Vemnox ! ! !

I have to ask though, is this the one you just interviewed for on Monday? Also, did you ever hear from the others that you applied for? I just interviewed in Orlando on Friday for the Retail Management position. They said that it would be a week or two but I just can't stand the wait. It has technically only been two work days since Friday but I just can't help thinking more negetively with each day. On the positive note, I did interview twice over the phone for the same position before they asked me to go to Orlando. Gosh!!! I just want the wait to be over.

Congrats to you Vemnox! Which park will you be at? I interviewed with Guest Relations two days ago, but haven't heard anything, so I'm assuming I did not get it since you've already heard.

Has anyone here interviewed or heard anything from International Sales or Disney Event Group - entertainment? I've interviewed for both but haven't heard anything yet! Im not on the edge of my seat as I was before, but im just curious!

Zada, I agree!!! The waiting game is sooo tough.. :guilty:

I haven't heard anything back yet either, and is over a week since my last interview (I had two)... But, I guess, all we can do is wait and hope for the best. Just a liiiiiitle mooore.... :hourglass

So another day has gone by and no one has posted. I guess that means no one has heard anything new today. Anyone heard from housing lottery? It doesn't really make a difference in my case but I do think it was unfair to hold the lottery before everyone knew whether they had a position or not. That kind of leaves some out in the cold. Well, I have not heard a thing either. Three days since my interview. They did say it would be a week or two but I just was hoping it would be shorter than that so that my stress hormones could take a break. Talk to you all later.

Hey guys, I'm new here but I just accepted a position with Epcot Guest Relations last night. I was so excited when I got the call that I was practically doing back flips! I put myself into the lottery for Northbridge, but I am in the process of finding a place closer to property. If anyone has any info on apartments around Disney that are reasonably priced, but pretty nice let me know.

I know this waiting game is brutal but just think how happy you will be when you get the call!!!

:cloud9:

Congrat to you CiaoBella !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I was so lucky. I think guest relations is on the ball with this. I wish retail management would make their decisions. I know that others on this board wish the same. Lots of us have been chatting and WAITING for a long time. It is great to have you join us. I do not really know alot about Orlando except that the best places to live are suppose to be Wintergarden, Windemere, And Ocoee. The prices are through the roof though so if you don't get into Northbridge, you should be seeking a roommate. There are others here that know better that me. Just keep checking, they will reply. Nice to meet you.

no news on northbridge yet.... anyone else?? hope youre all having a fabulous week!

Hey everyone!

I just found this board, and I don't know if it's helping my nerves or making them worse!! But I do have a few questions- is Northbridge that you all are referring to the same place listed as having $979-1199 rent??
Pleeaaase tell me that for the PI it's not that much, I know I wasn't quoted that much money for the positions I applied for! (Maybe I just applied for the wrong ones!?)

Second, and the most rhetorical, when the heck are we supposed to hear back for anything in Management?? It seems as though most of you who haven't heard yet are up for a management role?

Ok! enough stressing. Good luck to all of you!

I applied for retail mgmt but accepted another... is yours going to be at MGM they called me a few weeks back. they said if i didnt accept this internship they would try to put me in contact with the hiring mgr... i took the easy route and took casting center coordinator instead.

Amythestjewel24

When you ask if mine is going to be at MGM, do you mean the actual position or the interview? The interview was originally at MGM but was moved to Wide World of Sports. We had our interviews on Friday of last week. They don't even have an idea of where they are going to put the interns at this point as far as I know. No one has been offered as of yet of the people I have talked to. Congrats to you and your position though. I am so jealous of the ones who have received their positions. Very nice to have met you.

Yes. The Northbridge that asks that amount is the one as far as I know, but the interns do not pay that. I believe that aiviber is correct with her numbers. I don't have the option of staying there because I am up for a management role for one. They don't get to stay there. Second, I have a family. Good luck to you though. Nice to have met you also.

Everyone please stay in touch !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just received an acceptance call from Guest Relations at Magic Kingdom. What a relief! My school needed an internship to graduate and it was starting to get down to wire there.
