I understand why Billy's decision gives him an advantage over the field. It's got precedence in Season 6 w/ Ashley Dilelo(sp?) -- although Nigel didn't characterize it as an accusation in his comments to her the way he set Billy up last night.
Especially in light of the results of the previous two weeks, I firmly believe Billy was right to be cautious. He's not only got this show on the line, he has his future in dance to consider. I really thought Nigel's comment was disrespectful and uncalled for in light of the fact that Billy can indeed dance and doesn't need to hide. Nigel could have acknowledged the fact that Billy's decision conceivably gave him an advantage in a much different way.
As for the decision? I feel the audience is being manipulated into being angry about what we see and hear. I think the feeling is drama may boost the ratings.
