*** Official September 2024 Thread ***

We are using Tiffany Town Car for our upcoming trip. It's a little more pricey than an Uber or Lyft, but I had a bad experience with Uber once and would rather be safe than sorry. (Sorry, I should clarify...it was not like an unsafe experience, just not a pleasant experience.) I'm hopeful it will be a nice, relaxing ride to and from the airport!
I booked Tiffany as well for our October trip. Hopeful! When will you be going?

I don’t do ponchos at all bc they’re a sensory nightmare for me and I don’t like the environmental impact, so my go to for rain has always been a lightweight breathable Columbia rain jacket that packs up into its own pocket. It takes up very little space in my bag, and the nice thing is the moisture wicking material means it dries fast.

I looked at this link and it looks great. But just how small can I get this thing? I am just bringing a cross body small bag for my essentials, (phone, id, cash & glasses) 8X6 inches or so. Would i somehow be able to squeeze this in? Thoughts?

So we had to cancel our September trip due to my DH being diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer.

On the bright side he is responding well to treatment and we have rebooked at the Swan in March and will do Disney for 4 days then head to Fort Myers to watch our DD play in a college softball tournament!

That's great that he is responding well, and you'll have your trip to look forward to!
Sending positive thoughts for him

Anyone else on hurricane watch for last weekend in September? Just booked our LL’s this morning and hoping nothing materializes in the gulf. Our family has been through a lot in the last 6 months and are excited to get away for some fun 😊

Yup! That's the weekend we fly in. The last few model runs seem to be pushing for something hitting around the 26th-29th, but it's still far enough out that I'm really really hoping it changes!

Me! We are flying in Friday for a weekend trip celebrating my oldest’s 18th birthday. All the fingers crossed that we can still make and enjoy this trip!

We fly in Thursday night and have been watching the area of nothing that they think will turn into a hurricane and head to Florida this weekend. Since this trip is in hurricane season, I had booked a backup trip in November but really REALLY hoping we can go and have a good time this weekend. I
Purchased ponchos and water sandals and even booked ADR’s for our backup plan. Anything else I can do to make a rainy trip better? Think all we can do at this point is watch to see what happens…and make the best of it

You might be ok Saturday - it’s all speculation at this point, but I keep seeing a version of this:

Luckily we get in Wednesday morning but we had Mickey's Halloween party tickets for Thursday and looks like it will either be canceled or raining the whole time and limit everything we can which would suck

Big group of 12 going to our only mk day on monday 9/30. non party day. Im stressing looking at available LLMP, it will be swamped! How has been getting LLMP for non party days?

It was pretty packed on non party days this past week, definitely a significant drop on party day
