***Official September 2022 Thread***

Thank you and that is so exciting for your first time GF stay! Hopefully you love it, I know it has quickly become my families favorite. This looks like a super fun chat 😊
All the GF people, any tips on building/room selection?

How are the crowds on Labor Day? That's our arrival day, so we'll not be in the park until early afternoon. It's a party day at MK, but we are going to Epcot for the late EEH. Does the party cause higher or lower crowds in the other parks? I've only ever been to WDW in the spring, so this is new and different for me.
Labor Day is typically one of the least crowded holidays but it still has some good sized crowds in parks like Epcot due in part to Food and Wine bringing out the locals. That's been our experience at least!

This is our first stay at GF so I do not have any experience staying there but I looked into the different buildings. We decided to request Sago Cay on the end close to main building. For us this is just for convenience with the 3 small children. We also like to go to the resort food court for breakfast and also be closer to bus and monorail. We have a standard room booked. Sugarloaf I understand is all Club level and Big Pine Key is now DVC.

We are checking into Saratoga Springs Aug 31, and staying through Sept 11. My mom is coming down to join us for a handful of days, which our daughter is beyond excited about…Disney with MiMi!? Lol! Mom hasn’t been to Disney in close to 40 years, so to be able to have her join us, is just so cool. Only able to make that happen was we are DVC… 100% why we bought in a few years ago.. I was stunned at my 60 day window, that I was able to book pretty much everything we had on our list! Storybook, Homecomin, Space 220 (lounge.. want to try it more for the experience than the food), 50’s diner, Citrico’s… Halloween party on top! It’s going to be a great memory maker for sure!
:welcome:@BugsPop to the September 2022 Group!!! So glad you joined us as we countdown these last weeks. Wonderful 12 day trip you have planned at Saratoga Springs!!!! Congratulations on getting all those great restaurants. I was so afraid we would not get Storybook but we got it too!! (Maybe low crowds this September????) I know your daughter:earsgirl: is so happy to have her MiMi with her at Disney World. What a magical trip with lots of memories......... pixiedust: I will add you to our CountDown List on page 1 and we look forward to seeing you here for more Disney Planning.:mickeyjum

I plan to hit the Canada Pavilion for a beer cheese and filet fix if we aren't able to book LC. I think I saw those on the menu for F&W.
Great idea! I saw that too, but hubby is wanting a sit down meal, so we'll see. I've heard their soup is amazing, along with the steak.

If they're only there to eat and not wait in line in front of me, then I am fine with that! 😂

I somehow forgot to add my name to this group!

Our family is headed down September 24-October 7! As of now we are staying all nights at All Star Music (in a family suite). Disney World really has limited options for a family of 6! Once October discounts come out, we may try to add a couple nights at AoA or try the Cabins at Fort Wilderness?

This will be our first trip back since June 2019, so we are very excited!

You may want to look into renting DVC 2 bedroom .

Hi @ssmurphy28 and :welcome:in to the September 2022 Group!!! We are so glad you remembered to join us in our Group :D!!!! What a great vacation you must be planning for a 2 week stay at the All Star Music. I know you all must be beyond excited to come back to Disney World (home away from Home)!!! :earsgirl::earsboy:
My family is also very excited and our September Group as well with all the planning and ADR's being made and coming up. Yes, I agree it is limited options for a family of six but sounds like you grabbed a suite and maybe a split stay at AOA of the Cabins might be available soon. Sounds Great. I will add you to the CountDown list on page 1 of our Group and we will see you here for more planning in the weeks to come as September gets closer. :tink:Wishing your family a very magical upcoming trip.

So today was my ADR date. I got the Fireworks Party and Crystal Palace for my last day, but couldn't get Rose and Crown Dining Room. I put a TP alert on it since I remember availability opening up closer during my January trip also. I got something, but then changed my mind when I was down there which is why I'm trying again.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom at Saratoga on our last trip...it was a huge room and I'm sad it doesn't have a six person occupancy. I'm keeping my eye on the confirmed reservations that open up to see if there is a 2 bedroom that would fit into our budget!

Is it during the Harmonious time? Are they still doing harmonious viewing packages ? That be why you can’t book your time slot. Good luck though!

We're flying in and staying at a Disney Springs area hotel on Hotel Plaza Boulevard from 8/31-9/4. We're only going to attend MNSSHP on 9/2. We used to live right outside of Tampa so we were previously used to getting to the Disney area within an hour and being able to explore different things each time we were in the area. We haven't been to Disney Springs in 3 years and haven't been to the parks since our last MNSSHP in 2018 so we are excited to see what's changed!

Anyone else having difficulty trying to plan (ADRs, park days, etc) with no idea what is going to happen after August 7th? It’s leaving me guessing if I’m picking the right things!

That’s when there could be significant changes to how many $ILL are at each park and maybe what is or isn’t included in regular LL. Maybe it’s August 8? It’s just making it more difficult for me to know when to hop and then where and when to eat! I’m sure I’m just overthinking things but I was always a planner before G+ And I feel like I won’t know what things will be like and I’ll screw up my hard to get dining!
