Late to the September trip party but I'm here now. 9/10-9/16!! I'll be traveling with a party of 7 and it's going to be a magical time. Last year, my sister and I took my grandmother with us and made her ride every single coaster instead of sitting everything out. It was a BLAST! This year, we're bringing my newly adopted niece from India! Right now, she is still in India since Covid shut down the courts and delayed her passport. Every time they speak to her in the orphanage via Facetime, she is such a happy, beautiful smiley girl. She is always seen with something Disney, so my sister joked that she is definitely apart of our tribe. It will be interesting to see how she reacts to Disney, especially because she also has special needs. We have never used the ADA pass though we might have to, depending on how she reacts to waiting, etc.
Anyway, we're so excited! We are booked into two rooms at Pop Century, preferred for the first time because we wanna experience having an easier walk when you're dead tired with two kiddos.
We also went ahead and booked some of our dining choices and tried to figure out some of our days. Even though we are passholders, we still tend to get the Dining Plan only because we just know it's there and already paid for. I might have had gastric bypass surgery at this time too so... who knows what I'll be able to eat at these fabulous places? It might be a waste of money for me to get DP but I figure I can always give out extra snacks/drinks to people if I break down my credits that I won't be able to eat.
9/10 - Travel Day - MK - Liberty Tree Tavern - We can't go all the way to Florida and not have MK as our first day especially with our newest excited disney kid! We tend to travel super early in the morning to give us more time in the park. So, we'll go ahead and make a park day out of this. In regards to Liberty Tree Tavern, we ate here last trip and we absolutely loved it. I love the themeing, the salad and the Patriot's Slush! YUMMY. It will be in the afternoon at 4:50pm so after we eat, we'll probably head back to Pop and sleep.
9/11 - EPCOT - Food and wine? Check. However, we really enjoy Via Napoli, everyone in my party did! In fact, my picky-eater niece declared it was the best food she ate at Disney world last year when we were there for two weeks.
9/12 - HS - Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic Package! - Look, Hollywood and Vine's food is just okay. It was the characters that made this a hit with all my family, enough to pick it up again so we can also get really great seats for the Fantasmic showing later that evening. Worth it, tbh.
9/13 -AK - Rainforest Cafe - I know what you're thinking and I think it's so hokey, and not as good as some other choices at AK. However, my crew of picky eaters LOVES it especially my mom who always wants to go here.
9/14 - MK - Okay, so currently I have nothing booked because my mom wants to go to Ohana's since it's our family tradition. I have a 9:50pm reservation but we are not trying to stay up and out all night waiting to eat their delicious chicken wings. So, I'm gonna try to find an earlier reservation. Also, I'm looking for Be Our Guest for lunch. We really, really enjoyed their QS the last time we went so fingers crossed.
9/15 -
MNSSHP / Disney Springs? - We will probably end up at some park, I don't know! But we definitely are gonna be eating at 1800 Park Fare for breakfast because it's also a tradition and have you ever had their strawberry soup?
9/16 - We won't be leaving until 2pm so we can pop into a park for a few hours or not. It's whatever we want to do. Last year, we hung out with squirrels and had a few drinks by the Hippy Dippy Pool.
Anyway, what are you guys looking forward to?
