Official September 2012 planning thread! List on page 30!

Donald does meets outside the Mexico pavilion in his poncho and sombrero.

Sleeping Beauty is in France usually near the perfume shop and Marie is out front. Norway (Princesses at Akershus), Italy, American Adventure, Japan and Canada do not typically have characters. There are sometimes characters by the International Gateway between France and the UK. We met Ariel with Prince Eric there in Sept 2010 on our way back from Cape May Cafe.

thanks, good to know about ariel and prince.

Also Marie is my DD's fav. she loves cats

There aren't always characters at the International Gateway. It just depends on the day. I know that Cinderella was over there earlier this week. It's a rotating schedule I guess.

Question for everyone:

What are you doing to countdown/pass the time until Sept?

I have a countdown calendar I made. We are going to Disneyland in Nov, so we have started having movie nights themed around some of the rides that my kids aren't super familiar with...it is really fun! We did it last year as well! :thumbsup2

Basketkat~Can u please change my dates to 9/22/-9/29/12. I changed them to coincide with FortheluvofDCL. Thank you!!:goodvibes

:thumbsup2 Add us to the list:cool1:

We saw Chip & Dale there in 2008. I figure any characters we run into there are a bonus!

It looks like we are going to postpone our September trip for a December or January trip. We have too much going on with wedding planning, house buying, moving to a different city across the state. Not to mention the price of airline tickets :scared1::scared1:. This will allow us some time to settle in and save a little extra before our fun first family trip to Disney.

I'm way bummed as I was hoping to meet some of you while we were there. :guilty: Oh well...maybe NEXT September! I will keep my fingers crossed that Nate will fall for Disney and want to go on another trip. :thumbsup2

Going crazy.:lmao:
Actually just trying to stay busy so the time goes by quicker.
I try to plan out some days.
I make packing lists. The challenge is to use only 2 carryons. Since we will be in the World for a month, this will take some planning.
I design and put on lettering and characters on t-shirts for DH and I.
And I do a lot of Dissing. (not sure if dissing is a word or not):surfweb:

I'd luv to hear what everyone else is doing. :goodvibes

So the most recent resort-only discount expired March 31st, and two more discounts were made available today, although only for summer dates. In addition to free dining for Aug 25-Sep 29, they are now offering:

Stay and Play discounts between June 15-Aug 14.
http://bookwdw.reservations.disney....romotionCode=fy12q3summer&market=fy12q3summer

Up to 25% off room-only discounts between June 15-Aug 14.
http://bookwdw.reservations.disney....mo&promotionCode=fy12q3room&market=fy12q3room

Since both of these offers expire June 14, it may be awhile before we see any additional offers for September, which would be later than usual.

For us, we are still waiting on a room-only discount for September (for one night), which is making me wonder if we should go through AAA or wait. I'm not in a rush to book, but I would have expected something by now!

I was excited when I saw the discount on WDW site, but bummed when I saw the dates. We are waiting for a Sept room only discount, too:surfweb: DS and DDIL are flying in the day before us and need a place to stay. Keeping fingers crossed!

We decied to upgrade the dining plan. So after that we figured we might as well upgrade resorts. The diffrence for 10 nights was around 400.00 at that point.

So we are at CBR. Not my first choice but it was the only moderate for our dates with a standard room. This is the only moderate we haven't stayed at. I really watned something with queens so I may keep checking. I will say we gave up our WP&M option to upgrade the dining plan so the CBR pool looks cool.

We are staying 9/29 - 10/5 at POR. I did my ADR's this morning! :cool1:

180 to go! This is our families 1st Disney vacation.

9/29 1900 Park Faire 5:45
9/30 HDDR 7:15
10/1 Free day
10/2 Kona Cafe 6:20
10/3 Boma 6:30
10/4 Teppan 1:30

Of course I am sure I will change them a few times. :)

We won't start our "official" countdown until about 30 days out. Until then I watch for the different activities at the Disney Store and we take part in those. Also this month now we have both birthdays so we're busy with that (a Disney themed party of course!) DD will be 4 and DS will be 2 - having a combined party of princesses and pirates! (All Disney princesses and Jake and the Neverland Pirates). So right now we're counting down until the big party on the 28th :)

We have some birthdays between now and Sept too! Aiden turns 6 in June...not sure what to do about his party yet. Last year we had an arts and crafts party and he really liked that....

DH turns 30 in July, then I turn 30 at the end of August. Originally we were going to do a 30th birthday/ 9th anniversary weekend away, but then we decided to go to WDW in Sept! I think we may still do a nice dinner.

Then Kurt jr turns 8 while we are in WDW. Last time we went he also had a birthday there(5th). Then we decided not to have a party for him at home, we felt WDW was enough, but our relatives(ie my mom) was upset. So this year we may have a SMALL get together...IDK.

We have b-days too.. 4 in fact.. My hubby hits the big 40 in June..then in August Noah and I both celebrate then Sept 1st taejan turns 7..ahhh
