Official September 2012 planning thread! List on page 30!

Please change my dates to Sept 26-Oct 1st and also now staying at the Yacht Club instead of the Dolphin. Thank you :)

We just booked our vacation with free dinning! :) We are coming September 21-28, 2012 staying at All Star Movies Resort.

Well, I love the count up poster. I am so excited for this trip!! Can not get here soon enough. It sounds like Tower of Terror and Test Track may both be down during our visit :sad2: Oh well I guess that happens from time to time. I have changed my ADR's a few times already. I think that I may be done with the exception of one choice.
Aug. 30th 1900 Park Fare Dinner ( my mom is coming on this trip with us and has only beeen to disney for day trips. This will truly be her first experience and she is in love with the GF. I am not sure about this meal or to change it up to one of the other Resturants there ? ) HELP!! need some input :confused3
31st Le Celleir for late lunch
Sept. 1st Tuskerhouse lunch
2nd Crystal palace dinner
3rd fantasmic package Mama Meroses
4th Whispering Canyon late breakfast and Aloha at 8 pm

We did the dinner at 1900 Park Fare. Our girls loved it. The Step Sisters were funny as was Ladt Tramaine. My friends DD had prince charming slip on her show like the glass slipper as she was dressed as Cinderella. I made my DD custom Boutique outfit as well. the food was good as well. Definately nice for only one TS credit and get to see Cinderella instead of 2 TS credits at the royal table. Royal table will be something I do later with my girls....when they can eat their weight in food...J/K:rotfl:

Good to know. We booked 1900 park fare as well. I figure the food is probably comparable to a casino buffet, and I have one Cindy obsessed little girl! We do also have ressies at Akershus, but I couldn't chance on not seeing Cindy at all. That will make her FLIP!!! I can't wait.

To answer the question about what we're doing to pass the time, I just had passports made for Epcot. They are absolutely adorable. We went with Mickey and Minnie for this trip, but we will see. May change later.

How did you make the passports made? Do you have CM stamp them in every country? these are so cool.

I contacted the DISer and he took care of it for me. Check out the Creative DISigns thread and you can find so much. I just made it to look like a real passport. I printed them on a notecard, so that the front looks like a passport cover, and when you open it inside, there is something like that, along with a blank page so that they can get it stamped in each country.

I've also been working on custom Tee DISigns for the girls. I can't wait.

Just wanted to give yall a heads up, the Orlando Sentinel post the TT will be closing April15th or 16th, and staying closed for refurb until mid to late September.

This won't change my travel dates, but I will have some disappointed children if it isn't open!

Hi
Could you please tell me what the TT is? Is it Tower of Terror?
Thanks

So we have made a few changes to our trip. My DM has decided to join us (she usually does but had said this time she wasn't going to...lasted about a day and changed her mind :lmao:). So, since we now have 5, we have decided to move from CSR to the cabins at FW! We really wanted to stay somewhere different this time and went back and forth between FW and the Poly, but honestly, just couldn't see spending over $6000 to stay all in one room, when we could stay in a cabin for $1400 less. I have changed all our ADRs and managed to get everything we wanted except 1900 PF and O'hana. For 1900, I kept our 4 person and made a 1 person for my DH for 10 minutes later than our ADR time (which is what the CM suggested I do). If he can sit with us, great, but if not, he says he will be fine. Haven't decided what to do about O'hana yet. Maybe keep ours for now and keep checking back...DH says he can go eat at the pool bar :rotfl2:

I would keep checking back in. And I would call rather than keep checking online, because something magical things happen on the phone when you're talking to a cast member.

Have you considered the Gardenview Tearoom Afternoon Tea? A more refined touch of the GF. Great for a girl's get-away if the guys aren't into it. We have done it the last 3 trips and are going again. Not on the dining plan, but if you want a relaxing, treat filled, couple of hours in a charming atmosphere, it may fit the bill. There are no characters like 1900 Park Fare, but the pricing is quite reasonable with 3 courses plus tea of your choice for $20-$30 per person.

Thank you for the information. :goodvibes

Our resort can be changed!! We are now staying at AoA with the same dates 9/24 to 9/29. I'm so excited - booked the Little Mermaid rooms. DD is going to love it!!!

My daughter wanted to do dinner at the castle but was not to interested in the selection. So I think 1900 is a good choice, just hope I can please both mom and daughter. ;)

I am going to hop a bus over there to check it out while we are there. I would love to see the Nemo area ( my fav ). Too bad it is not offered with the free dining. Oh well there is always 2013. :thumbsup2

I've read some conflicting reviews on the GF tea. Did you find it to be crowded/noisy/tables too close together? Id really like to do this with my MIL and dd's if I get some positive feedback.

If you're going during the free dining it might show up - when I was playing around on the website before calling to see if my dates would come up, all of the sections were showing up as being available.

Art of Animation has been added to the list of resorts available for free dining. You might want to call and check if your dates are available!

We always go off season (Sept or early Dec) to the Gardenview Tearoom and it has never been crowded or noisy. The seating is on big cushy sofas or padded chairs. The most trouble we have had is finding space on the table for all of the goodies plus plates, teapots and cups. A little shifting around and it works. I have found it to be a very relaxing break in the middle of the day. The wait staff have never hurried us along. The experience may be different for those going at peak times.
