Although I don't have a Disney Visa, usually when offers are released to cardholders, they are released to the public soon after. Here's the details for anyone wondering:

Valid for stays select nights 8/25/12 – 9/29/12.

When Disney Visa cardholders book a Walt Disney World vacation package, they will receive the Dining Plan for free!

Book a Disney Value Resort and get the Quick Service Dining free!
Book a Disney Moderate, Deluxe or Deluxe Villas Resort and and get the Regular Dining free!
A $200 deposit must be paid with a Disney Visa card at the time of booking. Dining plans can be upgraded at an additional cost. This discount must be booked by 5/18/12. Free dining offer is not available with the family suites. All discounts are subject to availability, certain restrictions apply. Blackout dates may apply.

we did since i had NO discount. i will be keeping my eyes peeling for a better discount to come along, but we ended up with POFQ instead of ASMusic because when i called to book FD ASMusic and movies were blocked out for my trip dated so for the cost to upgrade to the DDP at sports (where i didn't really wanna stay) we decided to spend a little more and upgrade to a Mod


i hope the POFQ dosn't spoil us too much because 2013's trip will be a budget trip for sure!

Did you inquire about Pop Century resort at all? It's another value resort that some people prefer to the All-Star resorts, since it doesn't share a bus like the All-Stars do. Just a thought!

We had always stayed value before too, but once I crunched the numbers to pay the upgrade cost to the regular dining plan it just made more sense to us to go with a Mod. I'm sure you will love POFQ!

Now that free dining is out, my mom suggested a mini trip in Sept. (ugh) and we had settled on not going in September, but now she is thinking maybe a mini trip. Will have to weigh our options. Might be joining the September thread again.

All signs point to free dining being offered to the general public on Monday. I was so excited to add the offer to my reservation this morning. Nothing beats free food (and saving over $700 isn't bad either).

I am sooo excited!!!! we booked last night for POR Sept 16-22nd!! It will be my DS2 first trip!!! I was able to convince my DH after the free dining came out and the great deal we scored! I can't wait. Now its on to the planning!

I called yesterday and switched us back to "home"! We're now staying at the Polynesian instead of POR. I'm thrilled!!!

When I called yesterday, it would have been 3pm EST, and I was on hold for about 10 minutes, that's the most that I've ever been on hold with the DRC. I'm assuming lots of Visa holders called to take advantage of that offer yesterday. Also, the only room catagory with a military discount for those dates that was available was TPV, not even club level was available. The Poly may be close to capacity the last week of September, if you are thinking of switching and waiting for free dining, do it now!!!

Now I just need to book ADRs, book our tour, wait (im)patiently for MNSSHP tix to be released, buy a new backpack, pick up some extra ponchos, buy a bathing suit, dust off the luggage (and remove last year's plane tags), wait for Summer clothes to go on clearance ... and THEN it will finally be time to go!

Thanks for mentioning ponchos--I forgot those on my list! No FD for us, since we're staying DVC and mostly cooking in the villa (besides, FD doesn't really fit our eating habits). Happy for those able to take advantage of it, though
