*~* Official POFQ September 2012 Roll Call - List in Post 1 - Join Us! *~*

We are down to 39 days, cannot believe it!! The reminder on the Disney site, says that we can do online check in in 29 days. :)

We just bought new suitcase, a nice big Samsonite with great 4 way wheels at Marshalls. Got it on clearance for only $80!! Good bargain.

My 12 yr old DD has made a ton of lists for us, she is over the moon excited!!

Still no Disney mail with luggage tag, etc. hopefully that will come soon.

I am at 41 days :) This has been a long summer wait. We usually go during the 4th of July. I am starting to get ants in my pants!!! It's a good thing work is keeping me busy. I promised the family no more changing reservations around. Now it is just time for crafts, packing lists, last minute shopping and overtime, overtime and more overtime. I need plenty of spending money!! I hope to meet some fellow disers while I am there.

We're now at 49 days! :woohoo: Can't believe it was 220 when we first started counting down - the days have flown by!

I bought a new camera this weekend! It's a really nice Nikkon, and it was on sale.

Since my trip is paid off I have started buying little things and giftcards for the kids to spend. So far I have:
A huge tube of 100 glow bracelets(you can connect 2 or more together for a necklace) $4.99 at Michael's

Mini travel activity kits (each includes 4 crayons, 25 stickers, and a small coloring book) They are Cars, Toy Story 3, Princess, and Tinker Bell themed...I got 2 each of the Cars and TS3, and 1 each of the others. $1 each at Michael's

3 Disney "board books" for the baby. $1 each at Michael's

Pack of 8 multi colored Sharpies, the retractable kind for autographs $11.99 at Walmart

2 $25 Disney giftcards (one for each of my big boys) plus they each already have $10 that I got through Disney Rewards.

Anyone else looking at getting a Photopass+? I think it is a good deal for us....I am going to want to ride photos, and we are dining at the locations that have those photos included too...I think I am leaning towards it...

Sounds like you got lots of little neat stuff! :thumbsup2 I did read your last update as well regarding your sons. Have you checked the disABILITIES board for GAC info? Lots of good advice to be had there. ;)

What model camera did you get - I also bought a Nikon! :teeth:

I am still struggling with the photopass+. It is a good deal but I want to be positive it will pay off in the long run.

We will not be doing Photopass at all. Most of our pics last year were blurry - verrrrry blurry. We were so glad we didn't pre-purchase. Even the ones of us in the CADCT Parade were horrid! :scared:

Yes, I have been reading there. I am nervous...I get the impression that because of so many faking, they are cracking down on the GAC...giving dirty looks...not believing parents...then if you do get the GAC, ride CMs not allowing alternative entrances if the wait time is less than 20 mins...etc. It's a damn shame that people are willing to have their kids fake illness to not wait in line. Trust me, I would stand in every line for hours for my kid to not have Asperger's...

We are still searching for a stroller. We borrowed a double umbrella stroller from a friend of ours and tried it out, but the middle wheel is getting stuck because of DS6's weight. So now we think we may buy one, under $250...if we rent a WDW stroller it will be about $300, plus no stroller for DTD, the resort, etc...I looked into Orlando Stroller Rental, that doesn't seem too bad, so we'll see.

I got the Nikon Coolpix S4300. It was the one right under the top Coolpix. The salesperson and I decided that their really wasn't enough of a difference between this one and that one to justify the $70 price difference. It's really nice...I want to take the kids to the park to really test it out!

I agree. I figure I plan on wanting the photos (and already have ADRs for) O'hana, Luau, and HDD...I love how it also includes the picture pkgs at CRT and ARB...don't you get the pics included with you meal?, so I figure, what $40 per pkg, per meal...so those 3 meals right there is $140, for $30 more I get the ride photos, and the cd, etc....

That makes me :sad2::sad1: I was a Photopass Photog in 05/06 (we relocated there after Hurricane Katrina until we could come home). The training then was 2 full weeks of learning about the camera, and taking good pictures. From what I gather, they don't do this anymore... Yeah I worry about not having any good pictures, so if I do decide to do this, I will be checking my photos each night...

Thank you for the heads up!! I only have 2 meals that there are photos. I only want the one at 1900 so I will probably do my own photo's this year.

I too think it is terrible that people fake because they think it will help them skip the lines. :sad2:

We got the Nikon L120. Looks like you got a nice one! We were going from a very old Kodak P&S style, so I didn't want anything too complicated ... and the L120 is complicated enough! :crazy2:

Did you book through a TA? Sometimes it takes a while to get the Mickey Mail. My AAA TA says 10 days out is when we should get ours, but that may just be an AAA policy. 39 days - you're getting so close! :hyper:

We decided to do our own photos this year because of the bad quality of the PP ones last year. It's funny. We looked at the PP photos of us in the parade car, and the one the CM took of us with our own camera before the parade started were better than the PP ones. :confused3

Can't believe that we are down to 22 days!!!!!!!!! Need to start finalizing our touring plans, and getting a packing list together. :cool1:

YAY! :yay: It's 40 days for us (42 to FQ), so I have a while to go yet.

I'm at 29 days! Make that 28, it's after midnight, woohoo!!! Sept 4-13!

No Mickey Mail yet, should I be concerned? I've never stayed on-site before.

:welcome: I'll add you to the list. 29 days!!

As far as the Mickey Mail, it depends. Did you book directly through Disney or with a TA? I booked through AAA and we don't get our paperwork until about 10 days before. I would probably call at this stage (regardless of who you booked through) just to check.

44 days left for me!!! :dance3::cheer2:

:yay: for 44 days! Soon you'll be in the 30's and then things will really speed up!

I must have missed this list! We're going 9/15-9/21. Free dining and staying opening night AoA Little Mermaid!!! Bringing my Mom, and Sister with her family. First trip for all of them. 39 days and counting...

Thank you. I booked through Disney direct. I'll wait to see if I get my Mickey Mail today, and if not I'll give them a call. Which number would I call, the general Disney hotline?

I'm so excited, I haven't been to Disney since I was 10ish, now I'm 26! And we never really do all these restaurants in theme parks but with free dining, it put me into ultra-planning mode, haha.

I can finally say NEXT MONTH I will be in WDW!!!!!!!!!!!! Haven't been able to say that in almost 4 years!!!!

Tomorrow is the 45 day mark and I will be paying the final balance in FULL!!!!!!! Now on to saving spending money and adding to my Disney gift card!!! Yayyyyy!!!!:banana::banana:
