***Official Planning Thread -DECEMBER 2024 - Welcome all!***

My 60 day window is fast approaching and I still have zero idea where I want to try for dining reservations. Because I’m so indecisive I fear I won’t book anything and will just make app orders for wherever I can each day. This is my first solo trip, and while I have ate solo before in a casual setting I am leery of eating solo at a table service / fancier place. Add to that I have no “must eat at” places I’m truly stumped as to where to book. Hot me up with your favourite places (minus character meals as I’m not into those solo). 🙏

If you are eating solo, then I personally wouldn't make any ADRs and just eat at the lounges in the restaurants. Plenty to choose from.

Are you looking to eat in parks or at hotels? Disney Springs?

Hotels:
Three Bridges at Gran Destino is fantastic
Sanaa at AKL has a lounge/bar
Steakhouse 71 has a lounge/bar
Crews Cup at Yacht Club (restaurant is Yachtsman)
Some of the restaurants in Swan/Dolphin have lounge/bars.
Tambu at Poly
Geyser Point at Wilderness Lodge
Territory Lounge at WL has food
Victoria Falls at AKL has food

Parks:
Space 220 at Epcot
Nomad at Animal Kingdom
Yak & Yeti
Brown Derby patio at DHS

Disney Springs:
Jock Lindsay's
Homecoming has a lounge
Boathouse
Baseline at DHS
....pretty much everything there

Thank you!!! I think lounges and quick service is more my speed. Not sure about hotels, probably on my no park days I suppose.

I've added a section in first post with the deluxe after hours for those who need them. So far in MDE (thanks @debedo!) they have thru 12/5 listed. If you notice more before I do, post and I'll add them to first post.

Hope this is helpful for planning!
Thank you for keeping up this thread!! You are doing an amazing job!

I will miss checking it everyday when our trip is over…. But I won’t think about that for now🥴🥹🤣

Ha! What the heck am I going to do?

We are heading to Dollywood next year and there are no places like this for planning! Not that we need to. It's a super relaxed vacation spot. Then we are going on a cruise early 2026 (and to Universal Orlando) and I'm learning all we need to know about that.

Maybe we'll have to sneak in Disney somewhere.... 😂

My wife and I just booked All Star Sports Dec 26- 31. We scored a 49%off express deal from priceline. We are on a Disney cruise Dec 21-26 out of Ft Lauderdale.

Only planning a few days in the parks. We have done WDW over Christmas and NYE a few times and don’t fight the crowds anymore just hit the parks for rope drop and then resort hop or swim.

Wasnt planning WDW at all this year but seems like we will be there a few days.

Wow!!! My ADR day is Friday!

Anyone make ADRs yet? How did it go?

We already have reservations for Amare and Wine Bar George.
Have to make for:
Skipper Canteen lunch
Boma breakfast
Trattoria Al Forno breakfast
Boma dinner
Whispering Canyon Cafe dinner

I have to say this is my easiest ADR assignment I've ever had. 😂

We book our ADRs on Friday too!

MK - Crystal Palace Breakfast
EP - Garden Grill Breakfast
HS - Hollywood & Vine Breakfast & Mama Melrose Dinner
AK - Tusker House Breakfast
DS - Rainforest Cafe Lunch

Our trip starts the 28th of November and I had absolutely no trouble getting everything we wanted and the times we wanted! It was the easiest it has been in a long time. Hopefully you have the same luck! Maybe that means crowds wont be as bad as predicted??!! 🤞🤞🤞 Anxiously waiting for Candlelight Processional dates and times to come out. That may alter some plans!

We are thinking of taking a day off from the parks and resort hopping to see the Christmas decorations, etc. I'm thinking Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge. What am I missing?
