***OFFICIAL*** October 2011 - Updated 10/08/11

I am sure I will enjoy...without or without any inconceniences. We usually do all four parks our last day and MK is our last stop. So, by that time, the monorail should be back to normal.

I'm glad we are keeping you entertained!!!! I come here a couple of times a day to make everything better (my office is very chaotic!).

I believe it....that's why I add the park hoppers without a thought. I'm sure everything will work out, though. And I totally agree with what you said about Biden. "Even with his diarrhea of the mouth".:laughing::laughing: That is soooo true!!!!

*sheepishly* Guess I have to change that then, huh? :rotfl: I'll get to it right now. You must've changed on me from the time I originally did it. :lmao:And I don't know the POFQ resort well enough, but I do know the POR has a pool bar. I was ticked off last trip because I left all my cash and credit cards in the room (we don't allow charges to go to the room) so I didn't get none. :( But this time I will!!!

Thank You , no hurry. I did change resorts a few times(CR,BC,BCV), but I never was booked at BLT,:rotfl: although even now I keep looking to see if there is availability there.

:rotfl: I can guarantee you it'd be worse for me to have my family stuck in my house all day than my kid's friends. :rolleyes1 I hope the weather holds out for you on Saturday!

It has been a crazy weather year, hasn't it? I'm in the Southwest, and the fires have been unreal this year. Luckily my DH is a firefighter, so he's gotten loads of OT. Thank you, Mother Nature, for funding my WDW vacation.

Still, I think the end of the world is supposed to be next year, right? :rotfl2: It's supposed to be on my sons birthday (12/21/12). We'll go out with a bang, I guess. :dancer:

I am finally in the 40s. Yay! Trying to redo my 'Ohana adr and no luck so far. Doubt I'll be able to change it, since it's less than 2 months out and we need to go from a party of 6 to 8. If I can't snag a reasonably timed ADR for Ohana for all of us, my DH, Dad and 4 kids will go there and my mother and I will try out Chefs de France. Never been there and the menu looks good.

It depends on who's end of the world you're looking at. The Mayan calendar ends in 2012, yes, but if you believe Harold Camping, the guy who originally predicted the Rapture would occur in May (and prior to that, 1994), then the world will end October 22. The day before we go to WDW. :headache:

Whew! We come back on the 22nd. Must get my Disney trip in before the end. :lmao:

We know we can trust him, because he has such a solid track record.:rolleyes1

eta - I love this guy above. He's honestly one of my favorite emoticons on here. Just watching him cracks me up!

Ahh yes, how could I forget Harold Camping. :rotfl:Well, if it were supposed to end the day before my WDW trip, I'd find that decidedly inconvenient and hope it ends another day. Thank goodness the guy is a serious quake so you should be safe. Phew! :rotfl2:

I seriously feel like I'm 80 y.o. watching the weather all day today. NJ just declared a state of emergency because their ground is already too saturated and I have a friend who was heading to Disney on the auto train on Sunday and Amtrak just canceled all trains from the NE corridor to FL from Friday through Sunday. Now he's scrambling. I feel awful for him. :sad2: I'd drive at this point. I'm so distracted I thought today was Friday and was ready to take my laptop home expecting to have to work from home on Monday when Irene hits Philly. Now I'm bummed it's only Thursday. :sad1:

I was at WDW during his last prediction in May, and I thought if I was going to die, I could be in a worst place than WDW.:goodvibes Not such a bad way to go at least, but I'm still alive and returning to WDW Oct 9.

wondering where one looks to find out if anybody want to share the Illun. cruise.:confused3
Ask away here and I would try the other October thread as well (there's a link in the first post). I check on that one every once in awhile and I know someone over there was asking as well. Best of luck!!!

And to go a little off topic (cause you know that's how I roll...:rotfl:), we got the evacuation order last night. But (and I can't believe I am going to say this) I don't know whether we're going or staying at this point. I feel like if I go, I can't protect my house. You know? I also feel like I'm somehow abandoning my home if I evacuate. I don't know; I'm just so upset and freaked at this point. I wasn't worried yesterday and then we got the call last night (the county called us and told us to evacuate). At the very least, I may send DH and the kids to my moms. I just don't want to come home to a destroyed home. Everything I've worked so hard for......

And we're directly in the path. What we're really worried about is if the hurricane hits the Delaware Bay and the River. My house will be gone if that happens. I live about a block from the river. This is like a once in a hundred years incident....things like this just don't happen in South Jersey.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone. I'll keep checking in as much as I can to see your updates. Stay safe and dry.

Figment - I am so sorry! You and your family will be in my prayers. I've been watching the track and hoping it goes to the east, further out in the ocean, rather than a direct hit. Try to keep us informed about what is going on with you as we go into the weekend and we'll hold down the fort here.

No need to be sorry....it is what it is. And I have to live with that. :) I'm just hoping we don't get the storm surges they're talking about. I lived through Hurricane Gloria in NH and Floyd here in NJ (I was actually preggers and not living too far away from where I am now).

I did call my two insurance companies (flood and homeowner's). Basically, I'm covered so I just have to make sure I have the deductible (which I do). It was weird, both insurance companies seemed surprised my policies were paid up to date and perfectly secure. I guess most people let it lapse until they need it. Insurance is one thing I never skimped on.

OH....did I tell you guys I added an extra day of free dining? I wasn't sure if I mentioned it yesterday or not. I happened to see a post that the dates for free dining had changed and I figured: what the heck, the least I can do is check. Sure enough, they had added the 22nd, so I was able to add that day to the free dining package and remove the day from my room only ressie. Now just crossing my fingers for a room discount before September 5th. :wizard:

I hope your house will be okay! As far as the evacuation, I can understand you not wanting to leave your house, BUT if it gets destroyed, I would rather it get destroyed empty than with you in it. I think you should join your DH and kiddos at your momma's house. It will be scary to leave it all behind, but a house can be rebuilt-- a FigmentChick cannot! Please stay safe and definitely let us know how things are going. I will pray for your family, your house, and everyone else that has to deal with this crazy storm. Good luck!!!

So I know this is so upsetting for you and you have so much on your mind right now, but I need to tell you to go. You have to leave your house. Take what is most important to you and go. You cannot try to protect your house as much as you feel you need to or have to. It's a house and you and your family are too important to lose. You are in a very dangerous area and I've heard the warnings from the Cape May County emergency services people telling those people staying to put their emergency contact info on an index card in their left shoes, essentially saying you won't be getting out if you choose to stay. I know the thought of losing your house is gut wrenching, but the thought of losing you and your family is unimaginable. Please, please get to a safe location. All of you. :grouphug:

I have to echo these sentiments. Many people who have stayed with their "things" end up gone. Is that really what you want for your kids? Possibly to have to go on without both their house and their mother??

Things can be replaced (particularly with fully paid up insurance!); people can't.

I have to echo these comments. Are your "things" worth your life? You cannot "protect" your house against a hurricane; that's like trying to protect yourself from a bullet with a pot cover! Is this what you really want for your kids - possibly to have to go on without their house and their mother???

Things can be replaced (particularly with paid up insurance!); people can't.

ETA: I had gotten an error, and didn't realize that my first post had gone through! Sorry!

FigmentChick, PLEASE be safe.

You will be happy to know I am packing up the minivan tonight (wait...scratch that....mommy mobile). I think I'm just going to bring the lock box (with the birth certificates and ss cards), a suitecase, and ALL my pictures. Yes, I am bringing all my picutres. Someone once asked me what I would grab. Well, there's your answer.

Oh, and the dog and cats, too.

:cheer2::cheer2::dance3::yay::woohoo:

And some tears of joy in my eyes!!! I'm so happy to hear this!! And I'd bring the photos too. Stay safe and dry and touch base when you can! I'll be thinking of you and everyone else on the coast as we're huddled up in the Philly burbs this weekend!

I've been MIA for a little while and look at what I have come back to?!
:scared1:

I am so sorry to hear about this storm and the evacuations etc...I am glad, however, to hear that you are leaving. I totally agree that your house can be replaced...Mommy on the other hand can not! Please be safe!!!
And I would take all my pics as well...
