OCTOBER 8, 2011 - Looking for others to share our Illuminations Cruise!!

Just booked an Illuminations "Specialty" cruise for OCTOBER 8!! Have room for more! There is a max of 10 on the cruise and we only have 4!!

From what I had heard it was almost impossible to book these... Well here we are less than 60 days out and I just booked for October 8th!!!

We are supposed to meet at the Yacht Club Bay Side Marina 1 hour prior to Illuminations that evening - due to Food & Wine they are saying that Illuminations will be at 10PM. so probably a little before 9 then we will all meet.

There are 4 of us and the maximum is 10 so we can take up to 6 more. I'd like to split the cost equally. The cost for the boat is $346.13 with the tax and such. So if we get 10 people it will be less than $35 each (before suggested gratuity.) Quote from website: It is customary to give your "captain" a gratuity.* A credit card guarantee is due at the time of booking,(Done) but full payment is not due until time of service.

Just a short trip (Sept. 30 - Oct. 3) to Pop with my 2 sisters and 2 friends. Moms only to run in the 5K! Never been without my DH and kids. Luckily we are leaving for our family trip in just 7 days!!

It can still be very hot and cool off nice in the evening. But still hot and humid. It is relative to where home is for you but if you are from CT, it will be hot and humid to you

Lol...i live in florida and I was wearing blue jeans & a light sweater in 95 degree weather at the mall, can always pick out most locals by the fact that they are wearing pants in the summer...

By Florida law, children 3 and under MUST be restrained in a 5 point harness in all vehicles excluding public buses. So, if you're going to take a taxi, its a good bet that taxi driver is going to require you to use a car seat so he doesn't get into trouble, I would think. And I wouldn't use any seat a taxi driver would provide. There would be no telling the history of the seat.

Good Morning, everyone!!!!

Just wanted to let you all know that the first post has been updated as of this morning; I think I added another seven or so people. Wow!!! Also, for those of you still reading this thread but not posting....could you please review your entry on the list and let me know if it needs any changes? I know some people didn't post where they were staying, others didn't post their dates and I have OCD, so I want to make sure the list is as accurate as possible.

Also, a little news about my trip. As many of you know, when the free dining dates were announced, my arrival date was blacked out. We (DH and I) made alternate plans to stay at Buena Vista Suites. And as much as the suites are calling to me, we did have dining reservations that we planned on (most notably Tusker House and California Grill). Well, I have reviewed the numbers over and over the past week and finally convinced hubby that if a room only discount is released (or, by all that is holy, I get a PIN), we can stay at POR!!!!!!! We would obviously do a split stay, but I am not overly concerned about switching rooms or anything. I live out of a suitcase when I travel, so the only things that would need to be packed up would be the bathroom stuff.

So, please wish me luck as I endeavor to call Disney yet again and beg and plead for a PIN code.

I've changed resorts twice since the list went up! To keep your OCD in check, could you keep my dates (10/15-22) the same, but change the resort to AKV - Kidani? Thanks.

Sorry....I'm in an extremely good mood. AND I DIDN'T EVEN GET A PIN CODE OR ANYTHING. I just had a great CM that really made my day (and, trust me, it's gonna be one of those days...payroll and inventory and GL fixes, oh my!!!). Passion was just really nice and worked and worked and worked trying to get free dining for my entire stay (she actually yelled at her system) and told me about split-stays (which I already knew, but played stupid). She was just so great and made me feel that things really are going to work out in the end.

Basically, I've got it in my mind that we are staying on-site...period. I really, really, really want to. I love POR....the food court, the pools, the food court....I could go on and on. Anyway....thank you ladies for the good wishes. You two have a great day and snykymom, I'll fix that first post right up for you.

Longest stay award goes to mareeld86: (October 22 - December 8) 49 DAYS!

Slowest week: November 14 - 19
Most crowded week: October 16 - 22 and October 2 - 8 (note these are calandar weeks) not travel weeks.

Hello all,

We are making our first trip to disney from Oct 29 - Nov 5. My daughter is 5 and we are taking my in-laws. We are staying at the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge. We have ADRS at Akershus, Ohana, Plaza Restaurant, Bluezoo, Artist Point, Brown Derby. I have also signed up for The Princess Tea Party and the Bippity Boppity Boutique. My father in law is signed up for 3 golf courses. We are also going to the MNSSHP.

Anyone have any tips for a first timer w/ all the info listed above?
