ugg - calendar is down and i wanted to check park times and do some more planning (okay play around because I am tired of cleaning house):lmao:

kids are working on the countdown calendar and having a great time. So glad I let them do it what a great math project.

Aw, I'm sorry. I actually just pulled up Touring Plans (I have a subscription) to look at some times (I didn't feel like going to the Disney website).

Let me know what you need.

Also....I am so frustrated. Hubby just informed me YESTERDAY that he wanted breakfast with the princesses (which is what our family calls Akershaus) rather than breakfast with Pooh Bear. Guess what? No availability. I guess I'll keep checking, and checking, and checking until I either get something or I leave for Orlando.

UGH! You're not allowed to maim husbands, right? That's illegal? [/sarcasm]

of course you are allowed to maim husbands when they change minds for ADR's. :rotfl:

My DH is not a charactor meal person, but told me early on CP was good cause he like it. When we changed resorts I switched a lot of our ressies and I booked 1900 Park Fare for one morning have yet to tell him :rotfl:
We have never been over to GF so that might ease the delivery of the message when I do finally tell him. He loves buffet breakfasts so I really do not see a problem.

I hope you can snag an ADR for Akershus :wizard:

You guys made me laugh. thanks! I haven't been able to get one yet. The do have one available for 4 people, but we are 5. Something'll come up, though....and if it doesn't: Pooh Bear!!!!

And I know this is off topic, but I just have to share: 4 MORE DAYS UNTIL I MEET MR. STAN LEE!!!!! :worship: You have to understand, before we became Disney Geeks, we were (and still very much are) Comic Book Geeks (and, yes, that should be capitalized. lol). Anyway...Baltimore ComicCon is this weekend and DH and I have VIP passes to meet Mr. Stan Lee. I am just so excited!!!:cool1::woohoo::yay:

For those of you that don't know, Mr. Stan Lee is responsible for most great things Marvel: Spiderman, Thor, Iron Man, and the X-Men to name a few. I am a DC girl myself, but what Mr. Lee did for the industry was amazing and he is just so fantastic. I'm probably gonna be speechless when I meet him and that is saying something....I normally never shut up!!!

OK...enough of that.....go back to you Disney planning and have a wonderful night everyone. I have to look up restaurants in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. I don't want to eat at Phillip's again....I always end up there. I remember eating at a really great place in Little Italy with my grandmother decades ago.....maybe it's still there.......

FigmentChick, That is very cool! I had no idea ComicCon was here.

Honestly, everything right in the Harbor is bland, overpriced or downright terrible. But we really like B&O in the 100 block of N. Charles. Highly recommend it!

I'm sure the place in Little Italy is still there. Not much has changed in decades, though i'm not necessarily sure that's a good thing. ;)

You must be a fan of Big Bang Theory! Did you see that episode? Hilarious! I still think there's a few tricks up Disney's sleeve, yet...

Terri....I forgot you're in MD. I agree...overpriced and bland in Inner Harbor. But my children will kill me if they don't get seafood. Ugh.

Lisa, yes....big, big fans of the Big Bang Theory. I get the jokes that Donny doesn't and he gets the common sense stuff I don't. You know Amy Farrah Fowler.....me. So, me. Except, I've procreated.

can we say that on the DIS? procreated?

Hi guys!

Just wanted to mention that we are having a meet for GKTW on Oct. 3rd at at Grand Villa at Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani. The details are in my signature and on the meets thread on the podcast board.
We will be having some silent auctions, a dining review with Kevin and John will be one of them!:thumbsup2
There will also be lots of great raffle prizes a, various giftcards, avon, tastefully simple, etc.
We will be providing food, and lots of fun and a chance to meet other dis'ers. Bring the kids too! Completely kid friendly!!!!
A great opportunity to show some kids who really need a bit of pixie dust in their life, how disney lovers can create some magic too!:wizard:
Hope to see some fellow October'ites there!!!!:grouphug:

I am such an Amy Farrah Fowler too! My husband is a Raj...so I still cannot quite figure out how the heck we ended up actually talking to each other, let alone dating/marrying.

Oh, and give Stan a big ole smooch for me. :lovestruc:lovestruc

Will do!!!! And welcome, dansyr2514...I'll make sure your info is on the first post.

So....is anybody doing any other planning? Has anyone started packing? I have, it's actually quite sad. And when we went school clothes shopping, I actually bought things in mind for Disney. :rotfl: Anyway....can't do too much, but I can gather things together like the autograph books, pin lanyards, antibacterial gel, etc. Now I do have to go on eBay and get the kids a lot of pins to trade. But I want to make sure they are from a reputable dealer, so that involves research.

Have a great day guys!

I have my box and it is getting full! Good thing we are flying SW - I'll need those two bags per person! ;)

I have pins from eBay - I got a batch of 30 from 52jcmdisneypins. Very fast shipper and everything was just as I expected. I'm trying to find the other one I purchased from - they were good, too.

My only problem is I keep finding pins I want to keep!:rotfl:

Thanks for the info on the eBay pin seller. I have found a couple that seem reputable, but most are definitely scrapper pins. It sucks, too, because I need a big lot (or two) for the kids. And I would hate to buy the booster packs when we get down there (gotta love FL tax).

PS - how are you keeping the cats out of the box? Mine keep getting into everything (including the luggage) like they are expecting to go to WDW as well. :lmao:

My box is one of those big plastic totes with a lid - of course every time I need to open the lid, he shows right up to help!

I don't have the suitcases out yet, but I will probably put them in my scrapbooking room and shut the door. Otherwise, he would be in it and leaving all of his fur so I could take it with me!

Have a great day guys!

I just said to DH the other day I have to start gathering everything and getting it together. I have some stuff in the Disney bag, but I know I need others. I have a list so I have to start going through it and checking off what I have and what I don't. Just went to the dollar store over the weekend and they didn't have rain ponchos, so now I need to go on a search for them. There are also some links I have saved as favorites that I want to get before we go, like a new bag and a stroller cover and such. Things I wanted to wait a little while to get. Now I need to start getting them because I don't want to have a huge bill just before we go!

Hey there! The dollar store didn't have ponchos?!?!? [/whining] Don't tell me that.....I was planning on stopping there this week and picking them up. Ugh! LOL

I actually bought the stroller cover right before my trip in 2009, but I might need another one....I'll have to go into the garage and see (1) how damaged, if at all it is and (2) if it can even be packed up into the easy-to-tote mode. If it can't: I'll just get a new one. I think it cost me all of $15 from Babies R Us.

I think it was actually just this dollar store I was in. I went online at Dollar Tree and they show them as having them. There's a Dollar Tree right down the street from my work so I'll go check them out later this week. Fingers crossed! I do not want to spend $10 on ponchos again! :headache: Defeats the purpose!!!

I found a Jeep stroller cover for $8 on Amazon. I've got it in my shopping cart now and will keep it there until I can load the cart with enough other goodies I need to get free shipping. :rolleyes1

I am jumping in on the convo.....I DID find rain ponch's at my $ store. Also I have checked 5 $ stores looking for window clings to decorate at WDW, and the last one FINALLY had some...Tink & Mickey and Friends...So I got 6 sheets...I know a little much, but I decided to plan ahead for next years trip also.

I have not started packing, however I do have 3 "Disney" bags going...snacks, travel stuff (neck pillows and such).

I also made the mistake of looking at the creative thread, and WOW - I have a TON of work to do to get MORE stuff together, but I am loving all of the ideas.

54 days!!!!!!:cool1::cool1:

Figment Chick - it looks like our trips will overlap! We are going to be your neighbors at POFQ. :cool1:

Oh, and I LOVE Amy Farrah Fowler!!!:lmao:
