We are also headed back to the world this October. 15-22nd. And instead of our usual AS Mo we are staying at CSR. Yay! Can't wait to show my DS what Disney is all about. Booked my airfare today and managed to get 4 seats for under $1000 including seat fee's. Yay! I've got my dining reservations made and can't wait to go back to Disney.

Porter and Audrey Anne were Peter Pan and Tinkerbelle for Halloween last year. I bought P's costume, but made Audrey Anne's. I have a picture posted in my PTR if you would like to see it. It was a lot of fun to make!

I think that I am just going to make 2 separate plans. My ADRs aren't directly affected, but I probably would have made a completely different schedule out if I had known about the cruise date. That's ok... P will have a great time regardless of when we go!
I know, me too. If i had known that, i would have completely done my plans differently from the get go probably. But i made it work anyways.

I'm kinda sad that the majority of the planning is done. I really don't have any tweaking to do for my ADRs or anything. All that's seemingly left to do is buy party tickets. We have plane tickets, rental car, lodging, park tickets and YES class.
now the shopping begins! I have my disney 'box'. it is a green (DIS green of course) plastic container that I keep all my trip stuff in that I buy and stuff from previous trips- our autograph books, rain ponchos, toiletries i get on sale, lanyards, pins etc. So now is the time to stock it up! I am waiting to buy party tickets too.

Hi everyone. I just wanted to update you all on this upcoming week. I will be working the rest of this week at the hospital due to the new computer charting we will be starting tomorrow morning at 7 a.m. Which means I will probably not be on the board till next week. 5 twelve hour shifts back to back this week is going to kill me, but I will keep saying to myself "Disney $$$$$" I think that is going to keep me going this week. lol. Anyway, when I get back on the board next week, I will update the list. *** To make it easier for me, if your name and info is not on the first post or if something has changed, could you PLEASE PM me? *** I would so appreciate it. Thanks and have a great week everyone. Love you all :lovestruc.
Ouch Shannon- hope you have a good week- that is one tough schedule!

I got Disney Mail today!! I was so excited! lol It was basically just an overview of my vacation package and how much I owe, but I still got Mickey Mail nonetheless!! I think it was finally sent to me since I wrote Disney a partial payment check and they've already cashed it.

I agree with the shopping which is left to do. DH and I started making a list of what we want to buy for the trip. I have a few Disney gift cards so I'm waiting for some good Halloween tops to be put up as DH will not dress up. I'm toying with the idea of DH and I doing Pirate League, just for fun. But I'm not 100% on that yet. Any adults done this? pirate:
yeah for disney mail!! I haven't done PL myself, but i know lots of adults have!

Yeah- we are there 14-22nd! :wizard:

We are going in Oct too! Well, actually Sept 30-Oct 8. Staying at Bonnet Creek. The boys will be 3 & 4 - their first time. Hubby and I went 10 years ago and just kind of winged it so I'm trying to do mre planning this time with the kids.

I am pretty new to the boards and am shocked at how much planning you have all done already! I thought I was doing good with my 3 ADRs. :rotfl:

Ok so I've been avoiding work today and pricing out how much it would be for us to upgrade from POP to BC. lol I know a huge jump, but I feel like this has been our honeymoon six years in the making. Though I need a PIN of some sort to justify moving up, so nothing would be done until I get one. Of course I would much rather have a 40% room code to save more. Though I like the looks of POP I want to be closer and looking at our ADR's and stuff we're at Epcot more,so moving closer to that park seems more reasonable. come on PINS :surfweb:

Rorey, hope you get a pin!!

So what are your thoughts. For those of you who have eaten at Lecellier is it really that good? I mean DH is a big steak lover but.... 2 TS credits? Here is my thought, I am going to do the ddp, I have 7 TS credits available to me and 10 TS credits booked so we are paying OOP for 3. We are doing a number of character meals, which are usually set prices. The few others I looked at menu's and guessed what we would order just to get a sense of what each place would cost so I could remove the three lowest. My guess is LC is going to run me about $160/180, with app, glass of wine and tip (all of which I would have to pay for OOP anyway) and then tax as well. So roughly 80/90 per credit (less if you minus out what I will have to pay anyway). that seems like one of the cheaper meals to pay for oop instead of wasting 2 TS credits on it. Then I thought, hmmm, do I even want to spend that on one meal oop? I could go to a steak house when we come home. So.. is it worth 2 TS credits or the OOP cost?

KEPE- Last time I ate at LeCelier I wasn't that impressed. I had big expectations and very disappointed at the food. Honestly there are better steak places at Disney if you are looking for steak. Now that it's a 2 credit place it may be better food wise, but then again its twice the cost.

We have the same potential issue as our DD will be 3 then as well. DH and I want to check out the party, though, and even if we have to watch Hallowishes from the Poly while DD sleeps, that's fine. We're taking it easy that day to make sure she makes it through the parade. We watched last year's on YouTube and she loved it, so we want to make sure we make it until at least then! I think the trick or treating will be her favorite part, and she's a huge dancer so we will def hit up the dance parties! Esp Woody's dance party because she loves Woody, Buzz and Jesse! Hopefully she won't be freaked out when she sees they are about 8 feet tall! :rotfl:

I took DS last year when he was 2 1/2 and we are going again this year (3 1/2) and he lasted longer than I expected. Last year he only got a short nap before the party, but we still stuck it out until after the last parade. This year I am following the advice of many other parents, and making our party day a "down" day. We will sleep in, swim, eat , nap etc, and that way he will be plenty rested. I fully expect to still head back shortly after the 2nd parade, but even so, that gives us plenty of time. The other side of the coin is the next morning. We are doing AK the next day, and since we only ever spend a half day there, we are sleeping in a bit and going around 10 instead of rope drop.

Rorey, hope you get a pin!!

I think it's pricey, but I loved it. I ahve heard so many mixed reviews, but honestly, if you haven't tried it, give it a shot, otherwise you will always wonder! Definitely pay OOP for the cheapest meals, usually buffets.

I am off to work, see you all in a week. lol. What was I thinking signing up for incentive/extra shifts?! LOL. Oh, yeah, M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E or in other words, DISNEYWORLD!!!!!

:welcome: to all the newbies to the thread! This thread has awesome members that you will come to love. ***Again, I am asking you to PM your info.*** I appreciate it. Have a great week and weekend.

Hope you get your pin! BC is SO amazing, but yeah, it's very expensive without a discount! If you don't get one, you could always consider a mod? I stayed at POR last November, and it's right down the street from Epcot, which is nice! Of course, it's nothing compared to walking to Epcot from BC! :woohoo:

I haven't been to LC since they changed to 2 TS credits for dinner, and I can't justify using 2 credits on it, which is why we're doing lunch there this year instead. Can you get a lunch ADR? I love LC, it's one of my favorite Disney restaurants, but again, I just wouldn't use 2 credits for dinner! :confused3 At least I know I like the lunch menu, since that stayed the same! :woohoo:

Having never eaten at Le Cellier before and since it was one of DH's requests I decided to go with Dinner even though it is 2 credits. I decided since the size of the steak is bigger at dinner 8oz vs the 5 oz at lunch and supposedly a better cut of beef (canadian)??? We will be on the DxDP so we will have plenty of credits to go around or I would probally be doing lunch instead.

Thanks for all the opinions on LC. I think I will bit the bullet and keep it but don't think I will use the DDP I think I'll just pay OOP for this and maybe chef mickey's or Garden grill.

SJS, I considered the DXDP but it seemed like more than I needed. It significantly more than the DDP which I understand since you can have 3 TS a day but I know we wouldn't so... I thought it would be a waste. DH is a big eater so I know we will still be paying OOP because one TS and one QS isn't cutting it for him. I'm hoping the offer FD for Oct. and then it would be like the money saved would be our extra food money. :) Wishful thinking, lol.

As for MNSSHP, I agree with all of you with little ones. I've planned for a down day at the hotel, breakfast a little swim a nice long nap and then off. I'm also hoping that with all the excitement she'll last a bit longer. I'd be happy with 10 if she can pull it off. I think she will love the trick or treating and the dancing so... I guess as long as she gets through that and maybe the first parade It will have been a success.

Does anyone know of anyplace to buy 2010 Disney merchandise? I had wanted the women's 2010 white hoodie sweatshirt last year when we were there and forgot to get it. DH ordered it for me off of eBay for my b-day this year, but he got me a 1x. He didn't know there is a difference between a 1x and an XL(which is what I need). Now I have a sweatshirt that won't work at all and no b-day gift. I'm going to put the other one back on eBay, but I'd really like to be able to get the one I want.

That's exactly what we're doing too. AK the next day. I figured it's an easy park with lots of looking around, as opposed to riding rides. Especially with a 3yo. She's not doing Everest! Last time we were there she fell asleep on the safari! I guess all the bumping "rocked" her right to sleep! :) Then we have no plans that evening except dinner at 1900, which we can walk to. I thought we'd make that movie night at the resort or just do an early night to bed.

I think we should be fine with the DxDP since I need to eat 3 meals a day being diabetic and DH is always hungry. Even when we pay OOP( this is the first time we are ever using DP) we still do a TS breafast and either Lunch or Dinner plus a CS so the other dining plans just would not work for us and we want to try having everything paid for in advance this trip

Can I ask what airline and airport? I have been pricing airfare for 4 and with fees the cheapest I can find is ~$1200. I would love to get it under $1000! :cloud9:

Great job on such a good deal!

Have you thought about going at lunch. It is only 1 TS credit for lunch!

I know, me too. If i had known that, i would have completely done my plans differently from the get go probably. But i made it work anyways.

Note to self...

When planning a WDW vacation, have a plan B (and a plan C, D, E, F, and maybe, G) :)

I'm flying out of Branson, Mo (BKG) on Airtran. It's about 2 hours away from where I live, but saved me $600 after taking into account cost of gas and parking, etc.

Add us to the list October 21st-27th AKL.

I'm pretty confident we'll be able to get a PIN, for some reason DH's name attracts the PINS! (he's had 3 to his name this year and over 6 last year) lol But I'm really hoping for a % room PIN now. We talked about upgrading to a mod and we're both sort of blah about it, because the BC just works out soooo perfect with all our Epcot ressie's, tours, and then the Fantasmic package. We currently have ressies to Cape May, Yachtsman Steakhouse, and Captain's Grille, not to mention we wanted to try out Beaches and Cream and we still have about 4 more ressies for Epcot and 2 for HS. But I will be patient and see what comes up. If nothing happens by our 45 day out we'll see what we can do.
