I am geting so excited and anxious! :yay: We are staying at the POP. This is DH and DS(8) first time ever at Disney, and I haven't been since I was 12 so I can barely contain myself..............Gee, I don't know what I'm going to do with myself the week before the trip. Where are you staying?
yeah, so fun since you haven't been back in so long! You should have a ball at POP!

Oh no!

Two weeks ago I broke one of the toes on my left foot (the little piggy that had no roast beef ). I had washed some blankets and was heading outside to hang them up to dry...I was barefoot and stubbed several toes on the patio glider. OUCH! My DH said "only you could hurt yourself doing laundry". :laundy: I still have my toes taped and it's getting easier to walk but once in a while I move my toes a certain way and get a twinge of pain.

I'm hoping my foot feels better soon.....we leave in 49 days!!!

I hope your boys heal quickly!
oh no, you poor thing- those little piggies can hurt the worst!

OMG! Our last trip we all came home with strep throat. I want to use some airborne or something starting in a few weeks and all through the trip. I just don't want to get sick again on vacation. I hate the taste of those things though and I'm not sure how to get the kids to drink it. I may have to promise them a special souvenir if they promise to take it with me every day.
I agree, i might try the airborne too- i have a ton of it. i always buy it with good intentions and forget to take it or just don't want to! lol

Megan will be Snow White, I'm "rags" cinderella, my BFF DD are going as Belle and Aurora...she's not sure yet about them and the boys yet though.
I haven't planned very much for our park days....meeting up some other DIS friends along the way so waiting to coordinate a bit with them too! and since we don't have any ADR's to plan around we might just wing most of our days!
Love the "rags" cinderella idea!

I have a question for those few that are staying at The Cabins at Fort Wilderness. Did you request a specific loop? I requested the 2100 loop to be near the main pool since the other pool seems to be closed for refurbishment. And have you ever stayed in a cabin before? What should I expect?
We stayed in a cabin, but it was so long ago- i think almost 10 years ago, but we loved it. It was me, DH, my great aunt, cousin, 2 kiddos and my little sister. We all fit just fine. We enjoyed having the separate bedroom and loved the kitchen to cook in. DH and I slept on the paddle fan bed. It folded up nicely each morning. We loved the atmosphere of the whole campground area too- just so laid back and relaxing. No one was rushing- it just was so stress-free! i highly recommend renting a golf cart too!

I can't believe that 3 weeks from today I'll be on my way to WDW!!! So this morning I get the bright idea to see what it would cost to extend my trip by one day. This was meant to be a super quick trip for the Wine & Dine 1/2 marathon. But then I decided I needed to see Food & Wine and MNSSHP too. So I was actually starting to dread this trip. It just seemed so rushed.

Anyway, it will only cost $19 to change my flight (Southwest) and $69 +tax to add a night at ASMu. Not bad at all! I called my Hubby to see if he could ask for one more vacation day. He informs me his boss is on vacation all week! What? Totally took the wind out of my sails. So he e-mailed him and here I sit waiting to see if he replies. <sigh> Cross your fingers for me please! I really want that extra day.
yeah- what a great deal to add a day. crossing my fingers and sending some pixie dust that his boss says yes!

In only 2 weeks my ticker will go from having 'months' to just weeks and days!!! Yay!! :yay:

We're going to be staying at CBR October 20-25 to celebrate my youngest's DS birthday. It will be DH, DS (14), DS (11 turning 12), and me. Neither DS know we're going back to WDW, they think we're going to Atlanta for me to attend a nursing conference! We plan to tell them at the Atlanta airport before getting to the terminal for our connecting flight!! I'm so excited, can't wait!!

What a great way to surprise them! I would never have thought to do it at the connecting flight, that's so great! Good luck with the surprise and I hope everyone who is suprising their kids come back and tell us all how it goes!!

Bottom 40s now for me today - 44 days! DD and I are both home today. My stomach is still upset from yesterday and DD is exhausted from not taking naps all week, so I just kept her home with me to veg. She's now dressing up the princesses on my phone. princess: It's good for her fine motor skills! :thumbsup2

~ My family and I take L-lysine tablets. they help boost your immune system and are a lot easier to swallow then that nasty airborne stuff.

My DME stuff came today! I am so excited because that means the tip is THAT much closer!

Congrats to all those getting Mickey Mail! I can't wait until we get ours. It should be any day.:goodvibes I'll have to check with my TA, though, instead of my mailbox.

We used a TA this time, but I think I like it better doing things myself. I thought it would be beneficial, but I am way too much of a control freak.:rolleyes1

OK - 36 Days!!!!:banana::banana::banana:

Hi I am jumpin on LATE LOL Everything about this trip is late for me.:headache: I am a compulsive planner and I had not been anywhere but Disney for years so this year we were supposed to go on a caribbean cruise but my husband ended up not being able to go thanks to his boss :sad2: So my mom and I are taking my ds7 to Disney 10/5 to 10/12. The day I had to cancel my cruise was the same day disney extended FD, so I did everything on that day!!!! :hyper:I booked our trip, bought airfare and made my dining ressies all in one day!!!!! I have changed around the dining A lot since then and I guess I am as good with it as I can be for planning so late out. I am usually booking the exact day my dining window opens! I have never been to disney in October we usually go late August Early Sept. This year we will do MNSSHP for the first time. we are staying at POR and renting a car I got a pretty good rate ($200) from the alamo car care ctr Looking forward to catching up with this thread :goodvibes

Welcome!! Sorry about the cruise, but hurray for the Disney vacation and free dining!!

I don't post on here often, but I do read this thread daily. I have a question for anyone who has been in October before. We are going the 1st week in October. I am wondering what the weather will be like. I am trying to decided what I need to pack. I am wondering if it is like New Orleans weather. During the fall, once it gets dark outside it cools off alot. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Our last couple of trips have been the last week of Sept and there is only one word to describe it..........
HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did I mention it was HOT?
Very HOT!
Evenings did not cool off that much, but I did have to bring a light sweater to most table-service meals since the A/C was blasting!

Wow I hate I can't get caught up on here. Just too busy now tht schools back in, but time is flying at least! In the 30's now.
Yep - that's how I feel too! Life has been so crazy and busy that I don't get enough time to DIS!:sad1:

Yesterday my DH and I were in Green Bay for the Packer game. We left the house at 8am and did not get back until 1am.....
Today at work we had to pack up our offices because we are moving on Monday....
"Life" is just gettin in the way of my Disney Planning Obsession!:rotfl:

Seven weeks from today I will be waking up at POFQ - bring on the beignets, please!

Yum! Beignets!

We will, actually, be departing this trip on our anniversary - Oct. 22. My DMom is going, so I am hoping we can find some anniversary celebrating time!:lmao:

Oh yes! Hopefully your mom can babysit one night.
DH and I are going to be celebrating our anniversary in Disney next February. Although I feel huge guilt for leaving the kids at home, we are SOOO looking forward to doing some "adult" Disney activities!

This makes me laugh (not your broken toe!) because my MIL was saying this rhyme to DD once and she said "this little piggy had corn bread" and we all went "huh????" :rotfl: Good to know we aren't the only ones who say roast beef!!!!!
Yep - we said roast beef too!:thumbsup2

Woohoo... got Mickey Mail today...

Looking forward to it... less than a month left!

WooHoo for Mickey Mail!:cool1:

Yep - we said roast beef too!:thumbsup2

I never heard anyone say anything other than roast beef. :confused3 Wonder what other variations there are out there besides corn bread? Maybe the corn bread was started by a vegetarian or at least a non meat eater!

I feel that way about the DIS all the time, it needs a like button! :thumbsup2

My MIL is from Portugal - one generation removed, so maybe that's it?? I mean we all went :confused3, even DH and my FIL! If that's not it, I'd say she's just a bit off!! :rotfl:
