good point :thumbsup2 We plan to do MK on arrival day (saturday) and AK on sunday so we are good I am wondering why it says to avoid HS on Fri the 21st...it doesn't have EMH. We planned to do it that day..oh well.

I think that TP always has best parks and parks to avoid even when they don't match the other parks for the day. But if one park is pretty busy all week and they tell you to visit it one day (even though it's busy) it stands to reason that a park that is slow all week would be a park to avoid one day even though it's number is lower than any other park. I think that made sense. At least it did in my head before I typed it.

We just had our yearly Influenza Inservice extravaganza where I work. Don't forget to get your flu shots! We are getting ours 2 weeks from tomorrow. I don't want to be too sick to visit Mickey or get sick from somebody there.

I always swore I would never get a flu shot because both of my parents had a time when they got really ill after getting a flu shot. Then DD was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes a couple of years ago and we've all gotten flue shots since. Poor thing had to get 4 that year. Regular and H1N1. Since it was her first time she had to get each one twice.

Thanks for the reminder! I will make sure to get mine within the next couple weeks. Need it soonish anyways with how easily things spread on a college campus. Stupid students... don't come to class sick!

I'm going to post our plans here so that I can see them... if anyone matches up, let me know so I can be sure to say hi!

Oct 14- Arrival at MCO at 2:30PM and DME to POFQ. Dinner at Flying Fish at 7:40PM (taking a taxi I think).

Oct 15- Animal Kingdom Rope Drop. Dinner at Boma at 5:10PM.

Oct 16- Magic Kingdom Rope Drop. Dinner at DTD (WPE or EoS) after park closes for MNSSHP.

Oct 17- Epcot World Showcase, Food and Wine, and Illuminations. No planned meals... just eating around the world.

Oct 18- Downtown Disney. Breakfast at Boma at 9:30am. Dinner at Raglan Road at 6:45pm.

Oct 19- Magic Kingdom for Parade and Wishes. Lunch at Via Napoli at 12:45pm (before heading to MK).

Oct 20- Epcot Rope Drop. Dinner at Les Chefs at 5:50PM.

Oct 21- Hollywood Studios Rope Drop. Lunch at Brown Derby at 1:05pm. Maybe Fantasmic depending on how we feel.

Oct 22- Keys to the Kingdom Tour at 8:30am. Dinner at Jiko at 7:10pm.

Oct 23- Breakfast at Grand Floridian Cafe at 9:00am. Flight out of MCO at 3:30pm.

We match up with Magic Kingdom on the 16th and Epcot on the 17th and 20th.

Brent was sick on our just the two of us trip last March. Poor thing was miserable, but didn't let on or complain and I marched him around the parks for 6 days! He basically just died every night when we went to bed, I figured he was just really tired from my touring plan.

This time we have started taking vitamins to hopefully keep the germs away!

OMG! Our last trip we all came home with strep throat. I want to use some airborne or something starting in a few weeks and all through the trip. I just don't want to get sick again on vacation. I hate the taste of those things though and I'm not sure how to get the kids to drink it. I may have to promise them a special souvenir if they promise to take it with me every day.

Poor thing! Luckily the predicted flu is the same as last year, so it's just 1 shot!

Last week DS13 had a full-arm cast put on - he had a fractured growth plate in his elbow from pitching this summer.
And today DS10 had to see the Doc and is now in an immobilizing boot because he broke a bone in his foot!

Arrggghhhhh These BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:headache:

Oh no!

Two weeks ago I broke one of the toes on my left foot (the little piggy that had no roast beef ). I had washed some blankets and was heading outside to hang them up to dry...I was barefoot and stubbed several toes on the patio glider. OUCH! My DH said "only you could hurt yourself doing laundry". :laundy: I still have my toes taped and it's getting easier to walk but once in a while I move my toes a certain way and get a twinge of pain.

I'm hoping my foot feels better soon.....we leave in 49 days!!!

I hope your boys heal quickly!

Please what she said, please what she said!:goodvibes:goodvibes

We are arriving the same day! Where are you staying? (I know I have probably seen it before, but my memory sucks!):lmao:

I am geting so excited and anxious! :yay: We are staying at the POP. This is DH and DS(8) first time ever at Disney, and I haven't been since I was 12 so I can barely contain myself..............Gee, I don't know what I'm going to do with myself the week before the trip. Where are you staying?

woo hoo- loved your PTR- can't wait to hear more! So what are you all dressing as? I'll definitely keep an eye out!

Megan will be Snow White, I'm "rags" cinderella, my BFF DD are going as Belle and Aurora...she's not sure yet about them and the boys yet though.

I haven't planned very much for our park days....meeting up some other DIS friends along the way so waiting to coordinate a bit with them too! and since we don't have any ADR's to plan around we might just wing most of our days!

Wow I hate I can't get caught up on here. Just too busy now tht schools back in, but time is flying at least! In the 30's now.

I have a question for those few that are staying at The Cabins at Fort Wilderness. Did you request a specific loop? I requested the 2100 loop to be near the main pool since the other pool seems to be closed for refurbishment. And have you ever stayed in a cabin before? What should I expect?

We are at POFQ - me, DH, DD(8) and DS(14). DD's best friend is arriving the 18th and they are staying at Pop. This is our second trip as a family and DH and I went in 1992 for our honeymoon.

We will, actually, be departing this trip on our anniversary - Oct. 22. My DMom is going, so I am hoping we can find some anniversary celebrating time!:lmao:

We stayed in a cabin in 2009. We were in the loop with the quiet pool. It seemed to me that there aren't any "bad" loops. Especially if you have a golf cart, it's kinda fun to hop on the golf cart and zip around :drive:

I wasn't a huge fan of the bed in the bedroom, it was a full size bed. Brent and I were a little uncomfortable, especially with it being pushed up against the wall on one side. We stayed in the bedroom and put the kids in the living room. The older 2 slept on the murphy bed and the youngest on the couch. I really liked the extra space and the kitchen. The only other negative would be just having 1 bathroom, but we managed.

Someplace around here I have a nearly completed trip report that I *think* I gave better thoughts about the cabin. I was only 1 day away from completion but my readers all left so I gave up. Now it was too long ago to give it a good finish so it will stay eternally unfinished!

Well, Happy Early Anniversary! A Disney Honeymoon sounds awesome!

I also have a DD (1). :cutie: Although I feel pretty guilty about is sometimes, :guilty:she is going to stay home with MIL. I have been promising DS(8) a Disney trip for 3 years, and something came up the last two years (i.e. pregnancy and childbirth, lol) So, this trip is really for him. He doesn't even know yet! I'm going to get my mom to bring him to the airport when she is "picking up a realative" and DH and I will be there with our luggage and be like SUPPRISE! we're getting on a plane right now!!! He has also never been on a plane, so I'm pretty sure he is going to scream like a girl! I can't wait

Maybe we will ya'll around! Hope ya'll have a great anniversary/trip!

Two weeks ago I broke one of the toes on my left foot (the little piggy that had no roast beef ).

This makes me laugh (not your broken toe!) because my MIL was saying this rhyme to DD once and she said "this little piggy had corn bread" and we all went "huh????" :rotfl: Good to know we aren't the only ones who say roast beef!!!!!

Thanks for the reminder! I will make sure to get mine within the next couple weeks. Need it soonish anyways with how easily things spread on a college campus. Stupid students... don't come to class sick!

I never used to get a shot but I get one now because of DD. I give her as much chance of staying healthy being in day care as I can! I was going to get one next week and now I'm definitely getting one because today I'm sick with a stomach thing. Now to be fair, I've been on a super strength cough medicine for a week that has codeine in it for a cough that hasn't gone away since last year (it just keeps getting irritated) and I think the stomach upset may be because of that, but it may be a stomach bug too, so I'm going to a meeting at 11 and going home to work the rest of the day and probably tomorrow. I don't stay in work sick and get other people sick. And it's horribly flooded around here and it has taken me almost twice as long to get to work as usual this whole week and I don't need that going home if I'm about to get sick! :scared1:

Seven weeks from today I will be waking up at POFQ - bring on the beignets, please!

OMG - this gives me a whole new perspective!!! As of Sunday we will be leaving in 6 weeks!!!! We're 45 days out today!!!

I can't believe that 3 weeks from today I'll be on my way to WDW!!! So this morning I get the bright idea to see what it would cost to extend my trip by one day. This was meant to be a super quick trip for the Wine & Dine 1/2 marathon. But then I decided I needed to see Food & Wine and MNSSHP too. So I was actually starting to dread this trip. It just seemed so rushed.

Anyway, it will only cost $19 to change my flight (Southwest) and $69 +tax to add a night at ASMu. Not bad at all! I called my Hubby to see if he could ask for one more vacation day. He informs me his boss is on vacation all week! What? Totally took the wind out of my sails. So he e-mailed him and here I sit waiting to see if he replies. <sigh> Cross your fingers for me please! I really want that extra day.

it is awful being sick at WDW! I had a sinus infection a few years ago and I hated that I couldn't taste the food. We had a nice meal at Le Cellier and I could barely taste it. i was so mad!

These days I ALWAYS bring Afrin with me, just in case!!!! It works great! :thumbsup2
