Does anyone know how to add flight info to your ressie online? I have done it in the past and when I booked our trip two weeks ago it said I could come back at a later date and add it but I can't see how to do it. They must have changed something since last year. :confused3 I should have asked the CM to do it when I called to add the FD earlier. Well, I can't call back now. It took 90 minutes to get thru! I'll have to call back in a few days when the FD excitement calms down.

So I finally got on the WDW site without it acting Goofy (:lmao: get it?) and it says to contact your original travel provider to update flight info. So if you booked through Disney, you would call them to update your flight info, which is what I'm guessing you were trying to do yesterday when the madness of FD hit, right?

 I finally used the chat w/a CM feature and she told me I had to call to add it. As it turned out the CM who added the free dining to my package made an error so I had to call back anyway and at that time I asked that CM to add my flight info so it's all good now. :thumbsup2

We just saved $550! :cool1::cool1:

After being really bummed that we didn't qualify for free dining, I turned my attention to the AP rates. Lo and behold, by upgrading one of our 10-day park hoppers to an AP and changing our package reservation to room-only, we got the AP rate and saved $550 on our rack rate reservation. :lovestruc

It did cost almost $200 to upgrade to the AP, but we'll be able to get AP discounts on shopping and a TiW card, too! :goodvibes

Really, really pleased right now!:banana:

what kind of discounts does an AP holder get?:scared1:

Wow....I can't believe how many DISers will be at WDW at the same time. (Though I shouldn't be surprised....After all, it IS the Happiest Place on Earth!)

Our trip is from Sept 27th to Oct 4th, staying at ASMusic.

I'm new here..........but I've been planning our family's trip for just over a year now. I'm very excited - we have alot of celebrating and alot of firsts in this trip!

:cheer2:

We got 30% off rack rate, just like lmc318 just posted :goodvibes

I had an absolutely wonderful CM, who was very much in the know. As soon as I mentioned upgrading a ticket to an AP, she was checking rates and even priced out FD to see if it would be a better deal.:thumbsup2 She placed me on hold to see if she could do will call for our one remaining ticket and managed to link it to our reservation so we will pick it up when we do check-in. I just need to call 30 days before we arrive to order the AP since they can only do will call for those when less than 30 days out.

So happy that our dates have been blacked out for the new free dining special. Not sure why those dates are blacked out, but I'm happy. Sorry, not a big fan of free dining and the crowds that come along with it.

I booked yesterday with the release of free dining. We are staying at PORFQ Oct. 27- Nov.1 and doing the MNSSHP on the 27th.:thumbsup2

79 days until our Disney vacation. Was able to apply the free dining for the 23-29 of October, and booked a room-only rate for the 22nd. Our ADRs were all done prior to FD coming out, and we may make a few changes before our trip, but we are happy with the ADRs that we have :banana:

Hey all, just wanted to let you know that if anyone needs ADR's now might be a good time to try. I was able to get a Tusker House ADR that I've been trying for weeks to get. I'm thinking maybe people that took AP instead of FD and people who were in the black out dates are now making cancelations??

So if there was one you have been trying for.... now is the time to try!!

I feel like i haven't been on here in a month. A huge project at work took over my life and just had our big annual conference in Vegas. I got back last night and now finally ready to get caught up on the DIS!!

okay, nojw to dig through at least 20 pages or more to catch up! :goodvibes

Welcome back! You were definitely missed! I know what you mean about getting consumed by things! Better grab some caffeine and settle in :surfweb:....you're gonna be here a while to get caught up! :rotfl2:

Oh man, you are making me really want to look into doing that. But we are doing the DxDP and really looking forward to it so I'm not sure if it would save us much. We love our appetizers and desserts.

Plus, AKL is sold out that week. Is it possible to add a discount when they are booked solid like that? I always kind of thought they re-booked before cancelling or something along those lines.

I would have loved to save $550 like I did last trip but my week is blacked out! Our trip begins October 12th. (Dumb Columbus day week!) If only we would have chose November. But my cruise is paid off, and so is the airfare, and the FE list is made out....So I am praying for a pin code to come my way before my final payment date of the 28th of August:rolleyes1

She did re-book my room, so I don't think discounts can just be applied to existing reservations. However, I have read from several posters that availability changes and that rooms free up even on sold out resorts as people rebook and cancel. There is a lot going on atm with free dining so if AKL is sold out, I would probably just wait and call daily to see if one opens up.

Have you done the math and looked into TiW compared to DDP? We had the DDP last time and also ordered it this time, but I went ahead and cancelled it a couple of weeks ago after figuring out that we wouldn't actually save a whole lot. The TiW 20% off on most restaurants (including alcoholic drinks and appetizers) were a much better deal for us. :goodvibes

I also just remembered: AP holders can book the DDP. I think it's called a "ticketless package" meaning that you can book the room and the dining plan without the need to purchase tickets if you've already got an AP (or plan to purchase one before your trip). I don't know if you can do DxDP, though, but have you looked into this? :)

Yes, saving is great. We would have saved a lot more on free dining for 14 nights, but just like you we fell into the black-out dates. Fingers crossed that you get a pin code or maybe a room-only discount?

Vegas, baby! :cool1: I hope you had fun at least!

:darth::chewy::yoda: 79 today!!!!!!!!! (alright, the first one was 1977, but close enough!!) :woohoo:

Honestly, without this countdown I think I'd fall into a pit of despair (movie quote...). Just found out this week our new CEO thinks we need to go "lean, lean, lean" and we all know what that means. Not only do I do training, but I was the last one on my team. If I get laid off, it'll be the 2nd time in 3 years. I'm not as concerned about the financial aspect because I know we can get by if we bare down, but I just started in this field and finding another job without much experience is going to be tough in this market. Plus it seems every time I go back to school, they lay me off! :lmao: Let me finish a freaking year, would you!! At least I'll get a semester done, this time!! I'm telling you, without this trip and my DD (DH is frequently on my list these days too :rotfl2:), and of course you guys to brighten my day, those days would be GLOOMY!!! :sad2:

So there is a need... :dancer: Geez, who made him? He's just awful!

My mom and I were chatting about Disney on Monday...she wants to go for the food and wine fest..She texted me an hour later "I made the res.." Well guess we're going to Disney ;) lol We are staying POFQ Oct.2-9 this will be my first stay there, but her 4th or 5th. I'm super excited bc it's just me and my mom going. First time I'll get to spend time with just her.
Still undecided about the MNSSHP I'm thinking we may go I'd like to see the fireworks...and Malificent :)
