We are also getting ready--last weekend to prepare before we leave on Friday!

Took the cats to the vet, getting the house organized... probably won't start officially packing until Wednesday or Thursday because it drives the cats crazy.

We FINALLY got the construction project on our ceiling finished on Friday, so we've been cleaning up from that and putting the house back together... Phew!

I can't wait for vacation!

Tropical activity in the Atlantic: QUIET!

I'm so glad the rain has gone for MNSSHP on 10/20!

5 Days Left.....

:woohoo: It's getting very close now!!! I'm "offically" on vacation!!! Yesterday was my last day of work. I cleaned the house really good today now I have to dive into the packing thing! I should be all done by Monday evening. That leaves me with Tuesday and Wednesday for a little rest and relaxation!

I had just recently started reading the Twilight series. I am down to the final book!!! My plan is to read it on my 3 1/2 hour flight to Orlando. I haven't started it yet, but it is taking everything in me not to pick up the book and start reading!!! :rotfl: I have no will power!!!

Those books are so compelling! I don't know how you are resisting! When we took them to WDW, we had to spend extra time at the pool reading because we just couldn't put them down!

I am all packed up - except for a few odds and ends.
Cut out my LGMH out of foam board to hang on our wheelchair. Need to decorate those.
Laundry is all done up - if I can keep it that way for the next 6 days, I will be doing very good.
Still debating the photopass thing...

It's been a very productive day, and I am pooped!

Also very confused about the weather differences between weather.com and accuweather...10 degrees different, one raining one not....:confused3 I so don't need this.

We just got back..let me tell you it was HOT for October. The first couple of days were perfect then mother nature decided to let Orlando hit record temps for the month of October..we got very little rain and it was muggy and felt like 110 degrees with the humidity. When I was checking the weather everyday we had at least a 40% chance of rain and the temp was only supposed to be 80 at the highest.

So who knows what kind of weather you guys will be facing! Have a wonderful trip..

4 days! a week from RIGHT NOW probably be headed to animal kingdom! No, no, more likely trying to wake up DBF to head to animal kingdom haha.

Only 6 days left for me...5 days until we leave for the airport. :cool1: I'm starting to pack today :woohoo:

5 days! This time next week we will be at DHS in the morning, and going to MNSSHP in the evening!

Accuweather and weather.com's forecasts are lining up more now. It will be almost chilly in the evening! Going today to get a long-sleeved shirt for DH's Halloween costume, and it looks like DS will need to wear his store-bought long-sleeved costume after all! It does look like a cool-front is coming to Orlando, praise the Lord! It will heat back up at the end of the week, but I can live with that.

I'm going to pack DD's suitcase today.

15 days from today I'll be at the Tennessee/Georgia border, traveling to FLA! Still two weeks to goXD

We are here right now (got here Friday) and while our trip has not gone as planned we are finally getting to visit the parks now. Thursday at 4pm daycare called and said my 3yr old had a fever of 102 so I totally freaked. Had a fever all nite and we flew out at 7am. He did great until we got to Atlanta then he fell asleep and slept until we landed in Tampa. Got the rental car and headed to Clermont where we are staying. 15 miles from Clermont I looked back to check on my son to see if he was sleeping again and he was having a sezuire:scared1: We pulled over freaking out and called 911 who told us to drive to the nearest exit and the EMS came and checked him out. He has had 1 prior seizure a couple months ago which was worse than this one but it was still very scary driving down the road. We are pretty sure this was a febrile seizure because of the fever so Friday and Saturday we took it easy and didn't go to any of the parks because his fever was up and down. We did go to Blue Man Group at City Walk Sat night which was awesome and out to dinner but that was it. Today he was feeling alot better so we decided at 10am to go to AK. The stupid house alarm was giving us fits and wouldn't go off so we finally got there at 12:30 and the crowds were great! Came back to the house and let the kids swim and cool off and ordered dinner in. Tomorrow we are headed to Epcot and hoping to stay as cool as possible and take it slow. I finally realized this is vacation and riding everything first thing in the morning isn't worth killing ourselves over. I'm happy all my kids are feeling good now and we can finally get to do the fun stuff!:cheer2:

My3kiddos - Wow! I sure hope everything else goes alright during your trip. Not a good way to start. Here's some pixie dust for youpixiedust:

Febrile seizures are scary stuff. I hope your little guy will get better and the rest of you stay well!

4 days!

I can't sleep. I've been tossing and turning since 4 a.m. I finally got out of bed at 5:30. This day is going to be loooong, since my preschooler won't nap anymore. *sigh*

DH wants to help me consolidate our luggage tonight. While two bags per person sounds great (thanks, SWA!), how the heck are we going to get it into the airport?:confused3:rotfl: 1 bag for me + 1 bag for DH + 1 bag for snacks/souvies + 1 bag for DS + 1 bag for DD + 1 bag (or 2?) for my mom + 1 carry-on per person + 2 carseats. Hmmmmm......:teacher:

My in-laws come down tomorrow afternoon to pack some stuff in their car. My mom has 2 tote bags packed for them, and I'll have at least 2 huge ones as well.

We are only going for a week, right?

Just have to get through this week...

We're leaving on Saturday! Can't believe the trip is almost here. Still need to make a few plans and pack, but we both have tons of school stuff to do this week before we leave plus 2 practices and a football game for DSS.

Is it Friday yet? Can't get here soon enough, got all the stuff packed and we are ready to go.

ETA:

Copied this from Channel 6 in Orlando about the weather

Wilson said cooler air should invade Central Florida later this week, and weekend high temperatures may not reach 80 degrees.

"As long as we've got this southwesterly component and high pressure nudged right on top of us -- just like we told you all weekend long -- this pattern is not going to break," Wilson said. "However, some colder air, which right now is up in the north, is going to ride the jet stream, will change (our temperatures).

Tuesday's high is expected to be 92 degrees and Wednesday's high is forecast to hit 91. Thursday and Friday will see highs of 87 and 85, respectively.

On Monday, Wilson predicted that weekend highs in the Orlando area would only reach 77 degrees on Saturday and 78 on Sunday.

No Baking hot for us I like it!

We leave first thing on Thurs morning, i have to work all three days...........and i haven't packed or printed out a single thing :scared1::scared1::scared1:

I haven't even decided how many/which bags we're taking yet!!!

I was supposed to do it this weekend but we worked on the house and winterizing instead ha ha (oh yeah, and of course i picked up some lime green mickeys while at home depot:laughing:).

Oh well, i'm sure we'll make it and hopefully we'll even have clothes too :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
