thats too funny!!
me too!! i was trying to talk to my husband about F&WF and he was like talk to me the week before we go.

Has this happened to anyone else? - After doing my ADRs, I started getting a bit , I don't know, depressed? Maybe because it's moving fast now, and our trip will be here and gone. All the info is posted, times are out etc. Most of the planning is done. Trip is paid for and all.
Alot has been going on for me also. DH is out of work:sad2:, but I got a promotion:) I have training to do this week, then a short 5 day trip for Labor Day to see my Mom. Then only 3 weeks till our trip.
I think when my ME mail comes, I will be excited again!:cool1: Then I can do all the final stuff - packing and getting everything organized.
I guess if my DH was as much into this trip as me, I could show my excitement more. :banana:Sometimes I go to say something about Disney, etc, and I feel silly because no one cares as much as I do
Luckily my DD28 is, and we can get excited together, but even with her, I try to not talk about only Disney.:rolleyes1
Thank goodness for all here that share my love of Disney!
Come on October!!!

I drive my husband crazy with Disney talk and planning. He could careless. He has even told me to tell him how much anything costs! So, I told him, that if I knew he was serious about knowing the price I would have went ahead and booked the Grand Floridian!! :rotfl2:

None of my friends care, and my husband will be happy once we get there it jsust the planning and getting there that he doesn't like!
At least I have all of your guys support when it comes to excitement about the upcommign trip!

I will be at CSR from the 25th to 30th with DH, DS3 to be DS4 on the 27th :) and my mom. We will attend MNSSHP on the 27th and have reservations for 3 at the Pirate League at 4:30 before the party. I'm not positive if I want to do the makeover, but I'm sure I will be talked into it... We actually arrive to MCO on the 22nd and will be staying off site for a few days while we go to Universal and maybe Seaworld. DH says Seaworld is over our budget with is basically my budget since I'm paying so we'll see about that... Oh btw, we are newlyweds. We just got married on May 23rd, so yeah, our finances have not really merged yet. I am already thinking about going back next year for Christmas :)

tkitty, that's totally me! One difference is that my husband just asked if I'd be willing to push the vacation a week (the week after) because he's working the weekend we leave. It's put a halt in my excitement because I'll have to go through ADRs all over again!

I shouldn't complain though - we were originally supposed to go at the end of February for my DDs 5th bday, but when I lost my job in May, we decided to move it up since we already had the money for it.

But yeah, no one else cares to talk about it with me anymore. :) My DH is the exception, but he has work consuming his mind before anything Disney-related!

I try to stay excited thinking of all the new stuff we'll be doing - not just being able to relive that first-time excitement through my daughter, but the fact that we'll be staying onsite for the first time, and going to restaurants we've never been to (thank you, free dining plan!!)

It's so nice to hear that others have similar situations. Where else but here can I get such affirmation!:grouphug:
Sometimes my DH, out of the blue, will say something about our up-coming trip and I have to be careful not to open the Disney doors and scare him off.:lmao: I just mention little things now and then.
When I feel a bit down and losing the excitement, I've ordered a pin or two on EBay, so that I could look forward to some Disney treats coming in the mail, without spending much. (I sell a few things here and there on EBay and have a PayPal acct with some spending money in it!)
The promotion that I just got did make me feel better-more money coming in.

That's a great idea, getting pins from ebay. Never thought of that! Might be a fun side activity for my daughter while we're there.

Help! I am having massive Disney withdrawl, which is making it very hard for me to survive planning our Oct trip! I haven't been to WDW since March. (I know, I have a problem.)

We don't usually plan much in advance, but with all the free dining in Oct, we had to get on the ball! We're doing a split stay on pts at SSR and then paying for WL (10/16-23). Still no plane tickets (hoping NW/Delta will try to match the current discount carrier prices), but I'm getting obsessive about ADRs. (How many times a day do you check the dining ressie webpage?) I can't stop reading the disboards either! I don't know how I am going to hold out until October!

Fortunately, my DP is also totally into the trip as well (we need some vacation down time). My coworker just left this wknd for a birthday trip to WDW, so I've been helping her plan up until now. I have so much to do at work, but all I want to do is obsess over Disney! Help!

Just looking for support from other folks who have to wait until Oct!

I can also relate to many of you. DH and DS (16) have NO desire to go to Disney. (DS would go, if I let him go with friends alone)

This trip in Oct is a surprise for DD (12) who loves Disney. I can't tell he what plans I've made. DH rarely listens, only the occasional nod. I just found out that DH told DS I'm going, so now one more person knows who could spoil the surprise for DD.

I saw some of the Halloween bags yesterday at a Disney Store here in Myrtle Beach. Couldn't tell her I might need to buy her one. It was very hard to just walk out of the store empty handed. Thankfully, we are hear a week, so I can run back by and pick one up for her. They also had a stuffed Eyeore she really wanted. I think I will buy him and pack him up for the trip.:thumbsup2

I haven't been since LAST March! As in, March 2008!! I am SOOO ready for October to get here!

We got a 40% off pin code back in May, I think. We we originally booked for 10/16 - 10/25 but the pin code was only good for 10/25-10/31. Soo.... we moved our dates and are now going from 10/23 - 11/1. The problem is that we had to book two separate ressies in order to get the 40%. So we have one ressie for 10/23 & 10/24, and then a new ressie for 10/25 - 11/1. (We couldn't justify spending the money on a moderate this time around so we are staying at POP for the first time.) I tried to get the discount dining offer but the 40% thing caused a snag. We have the "package" attached to the 10/23-10/24 ressie. The rest of the week is room only. Our "package" includes 8 day park passes, but the ressie is only for 2 nights so we would only be able to get dining for 2 nights. They can't add dining on to the "room only" ressie (which should totally be an option). They were offering the free CS dining, and to upgrade to the regular dining plan (1 TS, 1 CS, 1 Snack), I would only have to pay the difference between the two plans. But the 40% room discount was worth more than the discounted dining plan so we left it alone.

We have always flown Delta but this year, the rates were just ridiculous, they weren't offering ANY discounts, and they charge for luggage. So we switched to Southwest - it's about $530 roundtrip for the 2 of us, direct flights, with no baggage fees. Delta was going to cost about $700 by the time we added in our bags, and they charge more to fly out of CT as opposed to flying out of NY.

I bought a Passporter for the first time this year, and I carry it with me everywhere, just in case I find that I need to make a change to something! I am obsessed with planning, but at this point there really is just nothing left to do but WAIT. AND WAIT. AND WAIT SOME MORE!

Do you guys have any special tours planned or anything? We booked the Backstage Safari tour for this trip, and I also made some changes to our dining ressies. We traded in a couple "old faithfuls" for some places we have never eaten before. And I'm already plotting in my head what CS restaurants I want to eat at. My brain just floats away to Columbia Harbour House in MK and I can smell the food....

One thing you can do to pass the time if check out some WDW books. I bought a bunch from Barnes & Noble and even though I already know a lot of the stuff, it's still fun to read. The Imagineers Field Guide books, and The Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World are my faves.

Only 67 more days for us!

We just changed our rez to the first week of November ... so I'm not part of this party anymore! :(

I have to say that the feeling of excitement is growing, now that that final month is so close.
All of us October folk will be getting Mickey mail before long!:cool1:
I'm so ready for this trip! But will be so sad when it's over.
I do have a San Diego trip planned for March, so I guess I'll start planning that one after WDW. DD gets the resort end of the trip through her time share, so very little expense involved. No airfare needed. Have to do Sea World as I haven't gone in 8 years.
Now if my DH could get a job:sad2:, I'd be great!
Can't wait for Octyober to go to my happy place.:goodvibes

Just booked airfare! Yeah!
(saved $70 and was able to book nonstop on preferred airline)
Few more ADRs, get MNSSHP tix, renew APs...
:woohoo:
Plan F&W events...
(just sharing my excitement)

What "Extra-Special" events do you all have planned for your Oct trips? Anything really new or different for you?

I think I finally have everything planned out for my trip with my parents during Oct 23-31. We are staying at SOG. Oh by the way this is our first trip to WDW. Been to DL about 15 times. We are getting in on Oct. 23 around 5:00pm. So I think on our first night just eat something at SOG or walk over to Poly and get something to eat there. I heard they have some kind of light parade on the water. Does anyone know what time that is at? On the 24th we are going to MK. Don't have any ADR that day. On 25th we are going to HS. We have ADR at MM at 1:00pm and 50's Prime Time Cafe at 7:40. Then on 26th going to AK, but only stay there till 2:30, then we have ADR at 4:35 at H&V at HS. We ended up getting the F! package. We are given ourself 2 hrs to get there. Is tha enought time? On 27th is our rest day. We have ADR at Kona Cafe for breakfast. I have read tons about the Tonga Toast. Can't wait to try it. Maybe hit one of the water parks that day. And of course do laundry:laundy:. Then head to DTD and the Boardwalk. One the 28th head to Epcot. No ADR plans there. Just figure we would try what they have for the F&W. Then 29th going to rent a car and go to Kennedy Space Center. 30th is our last day, figure we go to either Epoct or MK or whatever we think we have missed. We are only getting a 5 day park hopper ticket. Getting a great deal with "Disney's Armed Forces Salute" Tickets . Can't wait, only 67 days left.:dance3:

What "Extra-Special" events do you all have planned for your Oct trips? Anything really new or different for you?

This year on Oct 2 we are doing the Pirate and Pals cruise..really excited about it! And of course we are doing MNSSHP on the 6th. This will be our first time to Disney during the Halloween season..so I am just thrilled!

Last year I didn't know too much about ADRs and whatnot so we didn't have a lot of TS meals planned. This year on the other hand I have had months and months to plot where I want to eat! :rotfl: I think that my kids are going to enjoy some of character ressies that I was able to make.

:cool1:WOOHOO:cool1: Just went and ordered my Disney Visa Rewards card!!!
First time since I got it to ever redeem dollars.:thumbsup2 Been saving for WDW or cruise. This will cover all of our DDP (not getting free DDP), tips, and drinks (Lapu Lapu and a Back Scratcher for sure!):drinking1 And then some!
Something else to look forward to in the mail.:goodvibes

So far I have booked DS into the Pirate League and both DS & DD on the:boat: Bayou Pirate Cruise (it's a secret:ssst:).

I've been pretty lucky getting ressies what with free dining & I'm not taking any chances on my TS meals.......We have ADRs to Chefs de France, Marrakesh, Crystal Palace, Raglan Road, Liberty Tree, Sci-Fi, Rose & Crown, Tutto Italia and Akershus. I've got a lead on trading into Ohanas:scratchin so I've got my fingers crossed!

Checking online for last minute ADR openings has been a lot of fun for me but I'm impatiently waiting for DD princess dress to arrive (ordered from ebay) and am now seriously thinking about getting a planning book...to pass the time.:rolleyes1 Got a terrific pirate costume nwt off ebay for $10 & can't wait to show DS.

We can't decide if we want to do MNSSHP, we hear great things about it but it costs more than the costumes & both pirate events already booked. All our ressies are free dining:cloud9:

What is everyone else doing???
