Taking a mother/daughter trip October 15-19 for my pre-schooler's fall break.

Going the EXACT same dates! are you doing the party and if so which night?

Ok, now I am just in anticipation to recieve my Magical Express tags...any ideas when these should be coming. Not that I am counting or anything but I think that I am about 6 weeks and 6 days out!!

Oooooo me too! We have 2 different ressies and will get 2 separate ME pkgs. I can't remember when we got them in the past. This will be our third time using ME. We love it.
I received my park tickets. Yay. They are so cute. We got Mickeys , a Donald , and a Minnie on our tics. I'm waiting on some ink now for my printer to take pics of backs of the tickets to put in a safe place. I thought this was a great idea.
I bought some cute lanyards on EBay, and have picked up some cute pins also for my grandkids, to pass the time.
DGD2 has been watching her many Disney movies, and knows the characters real well now. Even my DH watched Aladdin with our DGD2 , too cute. I've also been showing her rides on YouTube. She was trying to find the ghosts on HM.
Time is moving fast now. I've been so busy that time seems to fly now. I'm already anticipating the post trip depression.

Just got my ticket for MNSSHP on Oct 23. This will be our first time. We are taking our soon to be 8 year old grandson!!! I can not wait!!

Just wondering if anyone knows, since I can't remember what happened last year:

I got the MNSSHP tickets and paid over the phone with a CC. When I check in, will they give them to me or do I need to go pick them up somewhere? I know it's tied to my reservation, but they haven't arrived in the mail. (Thank Goodness! It's a surprise trip!)

In my last post I mentioned a photo swap...I meant the photo pass share. It was late and I couldn't remember what it was called.

Oct. 16-19 staying at 4 Points Sheraton on International Dr.
Count us in for October!! My hubby and I are in our 50's. We are going to WDW for a 4 day Anniversary trip from Oct. 16 - 19th. This will be our 34th Anniversary. I teach Kindergarten. We have conferences and then out of school on Friday. So we hurry to fly out around 5 a.m. on Friday, getting to Orlando around Noon. We'll get Friday afternoon, Sat., Sun., and a bit on Monday before we have to fly home. My daughter and her wonderful hubby live in Florida, so they are meeting us for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on Sunday night, Oct. 18th. For our arrival night on Friday, I planned a surprise lunch at Teppan Edo in Epcot (Japan area). If anyone has eaten there, let me know. It's one of the few places we haven't tried yet. Hope we have a great time!

My mom is footing the bill for my entire family from the 2nd thru the 8th!
I've only been once, which was a senior trip 10 years ago. NO planning at all, just lots of fun! This time I'm planning and will have LOTS MORE fun! Bringing our 3 year old daughter who has been a mickey fan since birth and into princesses now!!
I'm so excited!!!!!

Welcome! How exciting to take your daughter! I would imagine that Disney thru the eyes of a little girl is priceless!

I'm new here but wanted to join in on the party. We'll be there Oct. 17-21 and staying at Pop Century. It's the kids' second time to be at WDW and our first time to stay on property! Can't wait!!! We're going down for a full week sometime next summer but got a really good PIN offer that we couldn't resist for this fall. So we're taking a short break during our DD's Fall Break at school and spending four days at the parks. Totally a splurge, impulse trip but it'll be so worth it. Believe it or not, it's our first vacation with just the four of us! So this will be LOADS of fun!

Hey everyone! Please add me to the October list. I am going Oct 21-26 and staying at POP. I will be celebrating my 40th birthday (what better place to forget your age) while I'm there. I do have a friend going with me. Tried to make it a group thing, but unfortunately no one else had the time or money to be able to make the trip.

We aren't participating in the Dining Plan, and right now we aren't planning on going to MNSSHP (I went 2 years ago with my DS for his birthday).

I am so excited about the trip. I can hardly wait for it to get here!

Just paid off our reservation today. Feels good to have all those lose ends tied up.

We are arriving 10/28 and leaving 11/4. Staying at the Poly. I don't think we are on the list!

We are doing MNSSHP on 10/29. DD is so excited to trick or treat at Disney World! She is bringing two costumes. One for the party and one for Halloween.

We only have a few ADRs. We are staying CL and are just winging most of our meals. We have ADRs for CRT breakfast, Spirit of Aloha Dinner show and dinner at the Grand Fl Cafe. I am sure we will do a walk up to Kona for lunch or early dinner some day as well.

We also are going to do the Wildlife Excursion and a Pirate and Pals fireworks cruise.

Today I ordered the cutest pumpkin on the Disney Website with a Mikey head carved out. It was only $15. I am going to send it to the resort so we can have a pumpkin in the room! I also ordered a pumpkin basket with a Minnie Plush from the Disney florist for DD filled with treats and added a autograph book, pen and balloon! She will love it!

All the planning in done. I just need to wait. But with school starting and lots of other things going on...time will fly! DD wants to make a countdown calender, but I think we we will wait for the 30 day mark. The really exciting thing is that we are going to the Miley Cyrus concert the night before we leave and then wake up and head to Disney. DD does not know what to be more excited for. She certainly is a lucky girl and I love being along for the ride.

Has this happened to anyone else? - After doing my ADRs, I started getting a bit , I don't know, depressed? Maybe because it's moving fast now, and our trip will be here and gone. All the info is posted, times are out etc. Most of the planning is done. Trip is paid for and all.
Alot has been going on for me also. DH is out of work, but I got a promotion I have training to do this week, then a short 5 day trip for Labor Day to see my Mom. Then only 3 weeks till our trip.
I think when my ME mail comes, I will be excited again! Then I can do all the final stuff - packing and getting everything organized.
I guess if my DH was as much into this trip as me, I could show my excitement more. Sometimes I go to say something about Disney, etc, and I feel silly because no one cares as much as I do
Luckily my DD28 is, and we can get excited together, but even with her, I try to not talk about only Disney.
Thank goodness for all here that share my love of Disney!

I'm very sorry to hear about your situation

Believe me when I say I understand a little......My DH is facing a medical ret before the trip and the entire family is stressed with that thought. Luckily he is excited about the trip but he doesn't like to talk about things until they are much closer. He tunes me out & rolls his eyes.

I have also bored the snickers out of ALL my friends.....even the ones going on the trip with us. Didn't think that was possible but I guess I'm an addict & they are not.

And I know I will be depressed to no end after the trip.....We are very well aware we won't be travelin for quite a while after this trip. I'm still working on our plans so I've still got Disney dreams to keep me entertained.

Have you looked at the planning cards? Or maybe some magnets?
