OFFICIAL October 2009 thread - LET US KNOW YOUR PTR LINK!

Kim I don't think you're crazy it's so much fun!! We are not going to MNSSHP cause I don't want to spend the money ya know? I'm gonna get park hoppers on my tickets instead at least I'll get more out of that - I hope.

We are arriving on Oct 31st so we will go to DTD so the girls can trick or treat there, I have heard it's fun so we'll see. They are still having MNSSHP on Nov 1st so we are going to MK that day so we can see all the decorations but I guess we have to leave by 7 which is ok with us.
Sucked you in Dorene!! Glad to have you on board!!! :cool1: :thumbsup2

With Hoppers, you can visit all 4 parks in 1 day, if you want! I wouldn't suggest it but, you could! ;)

Wish you were going a month earlier tho, then we cousins could all be there together! :dance3: < that's the 3 of us!! :lmao:

torsie - edit to our resort - we are staying at ASMo. ;) Couldn't get CBR on FDP. :sad2:

Good morning everyone! I a getting soooo excited. It finally feels close, 4 months now.:cool1:

I am getting together my dinings ressies so I can be ready to get my adrs. :thumbsup2

I am also hoping to get an Illuminations cruise for my family and parents this time.:worship:

I was dissappointed to read all of the negative reviews on Nine Dragons. I have crossed that off my list.:santa:

Me too! I really wish hours would come out. I have the planning bug so bad right now.

We are going to try to get ADRs for these restaurants:

LeCellier - Dinner
Tepan Edo - Lunch
Tusker House - Breakfast
Yak and Yeti - Lunch
Coral Reef - Dinner
Rose & Crown - Dinner

We have only eaten at Tusker House and Coral Reef. What does everyone think of the others? Any suggestions?

Le Cellier was excellent when we last ate there. I have read good reviews still about it. I haven't eaten at the others. We are doing the following:

Chef Mickeys - dinner
Le Cellier - lunch
Cindy's Castle - breakfast?
Kona - dinner
Ohanna - dinner
Hollywood and Vine - for my daughter
Grand Floridian Tea

Hopefully I will get my days and times. Any idea when the hours are coming out???

I just bought my tickets!! I splurged and went ahead and got my theme park tickets too. At least it is one less thing I have to worry about!

At first the family was going to dress up in an Alice theme. I was going to be the Queen of Hearts, my husband as the Mad Hatter and our 2 yr old as the King of Hearts but I think that we all would melt with the exception of my 4 yr old who would dressed as Alice.

Now I am leaning more towards dressing as a pirate or some Greco-Roman thing or Cleopatra. I just have to find somethat I can get my husband to go along with. The kids keep changing their minds! One minute it's pirates, then Peter Pan theme. So, I have no idea what they will end up as.

Yay! So glad you went ahead and purchased them, that's so exciting. The Alice theme sounds adorable, but I hear you about the heat problem. That's our concern right now as well, we need something light and comfortable...really narrows your options. Plus all the ready made costumes for adult females out there are well, inappropriate. Keep me posted on what you decide, maybe you'll inspire me! At this point I'm thinking about just making matching T-shirts or something.

We love LeCellier too. I haven't eaten at any others you are going to try. I tried to get my DH to go to Kona or OHanna, but he doesn't want to go for some reason.:confused3

Upthread someone said July 1st, but then I've read other places not until July 15th!

We are going to be at WDW from Oct. 30th-Nov. 1st. Staying at the ASM and going to MNSSHP on the 31st!!! WOOHOO! This is our first MNSSHP ever! First trip for our youngest three! We are super excited! I can't WAIT to see the looks on their faces when we get there. *sigh* I think that look is going to make all the money spent seem well worth while.:cloud9:

Disney or no Disney I perfer to keep my butt covered! :lmao:Some of those adult Tink, Alice and other costumes are a little too sleazy for Disney. But I am sure they are light and comfortable in the Florida heat!

We are arriving on October 30th until November 8th - staying at BCV. MNSSHP - October 31st! Favorite time of the year to go!:dance3:

We're passholders but we've never stayed at Disney for a vacation before. (We usually just drive home afterwards.) Looking forward to our first weeklong stay at Disney for our honeymoon Oct 5-10!

I hope you enjoy your honeymoon!

My planning has gone into overdrive!! Feel like I spend every minute thinking about Disney :lmao: This week have been making lists of restaurants I want to go to so I'm ready for making ADRs, so far I have. . .

Liberty Tree Tavern
Tony's Town Square Restaurant
Coral Reef
Planet Hollywood (one of my faves for the movie stuff alone!)
T-Rex
Boma
Ohana
Whispering Canyon Cafe
ESPN Club

Have heard mixed reviews about Tony's but can't resist the Lady and the Tramp theme!

I know what you mean about the excessive planning! I too have been thinking way to hard about EVERYTHING!

Here are the ADRs that I am going to try to get.
O'hana's breakfast
1900 Park Fair
LeCellier
CRT breakfast
Akerhsus breakfast
Chef Mickey's dinner
Boma dinner
Chef de France
T-Rex (I do have this ressie already!)

My husband is very picky and his fave meal is breakfast! So it is always hard to find a place we all can happy with the selection.

I have developed a worrying trend at work where I can tell you exactly how many days it is till I'll be back in Disney but every day I have to ask someone what day/date it is that day!! Anyone else finding that alot of things in life are only relevant in how they relate to going to Disney?!:rolleyes1

I am not that bad yet! But I can tell you that I drive my husband insane with Disney talk and Disney planning...and I am thrilled to death that I get to make my ADRs in less than 2 weeks! Only a Diser can appreciate this kind of excitment!:rotfl:

My husband is all of a sudden really pushing to fly instead of drive. So if I cave and am willing to give up on taking the dog then we may be able to squeeze in an extra day.
I always love our roadtrips down but hate the drive home, it seems to be more depressing and take twice as long to get back then it does to get there in the first place.

We ate at Tony's in November and I thought it was good. Not great, but I would go back. It is worth dining there once for sure!

All your other ADRs look great, I hope you get them!

Your ADR wish list looks great as well. Have you had breakfast at Tusker House in AK? We ate there in November and we loved it! A HUGE selection and very good. We also like Crystal Palace for breakfast. Their biscuits are so good!
