Ok guys I am 13 days from ADRS and here's my plan:

Monday, 11/20 --Bon Voyage Breakfast (hopefully 9ish as this is our rest day/Stormalong Bay)
Monday, 11/20 --Via Napoli dinner
Wednesday, 11/22 -- Boma breakfast (another late one, hopefully 10ish as this is evening AK day)
Thursday, 11/23 --Thanksgiving dinner at Garden Grill (hoping for 6pm as we want to attempt RD at MK that morning HA!)
Friday, 11/24--Bon Voyage backup day. DH had the idea of eating before we drive home.

Obviously the main concern is Bon Voyage and Thanksgiving dinner. I wasn't going to do the whole 5am thing, but I feel nervous enough to.

We just figured out where we will be eating, 8 days from our ADRs:

Dinner at 1900 Park Fare
Breakfast at Garden Grill
Breakfast at Crystal Palace and lunch at Be Our Guest
Breakfast at Tusker House
Dinner at Sci-Fi Dine-In

We had to let my cousin look at the menus to make sure there was something that she would eat. We are a family of picky eaters lol

However we are stuck on where we want to eat before the rest of the family comes in. We are thinking either breakfast at The Wave or lunch at Beaches & Cream.

What meals are you all planning? I'm struggling over here!

Well I thought we agreed on ADRs last week but we talked yesterday and are already changing things. lol I'm sure this will happen 100x before our trip. At least my ADR day didn't come up.

Here's our latest list:
- Prime Time (D)
- Be Our Guest (B)
- Not sure which of these we'll do Beaches & Cream (D) or Trattoria. I would like to do Beaches and Cream, DH thinks Trattoria will work out better. I think I'll book the Beaches and Cream on ADR day since it's harder to get. Then change it later if we decide Trattoria is a better fit. We're going to MK during the day and then hanging on the boardwalk that night.
- Garden Grill (B)
- Via Napoli (D)
- Tusker House (B)
- 1900 (B)
- Whispering Canyon (D)
- Bon Voyage Breakfast
- Biergarten (D) this one is new on the list. I need to check the menu to make sure everyone has something they will eat. We were going to do San Angel in Mexico but decided to do QS in Mexico for lunch instead.
- Sci-Fi (L or D)
- Cape May (B) this depends what time we leave on departure day.

Now that I look this list over, I realize I need to drop at least one sit down. :headache:

Hi everyone! I am looking for some advice. This trip is me, grandma and the kids, 4 and 7. Hubby has to work:( Grandma hasn't been in 20 years and wants to go before the walking becomes to much. Trying to plan some fun dining experiences and would like some opinions.
Going 11/16-11/22 with FD upgraded to deluxe

11/16- Check in Spirit of Aloha (Grandma's request)
11/17- Chef Mickey's (B), CRT (D)
11/18- Garden Grill (B), Coral Reef (D)
11/19- DS 7th b-day Crystal Palace (B), BOG (D)
11/20- no parks T-Rex (D)
11/21- Hollywood and Vine (B), Mama Melrose Fantasmic Package (D)

There was plenty of availability for Bon Voyage when I book 180 days out yesterday. I wouldn't worry too much! Good luck!

Booked ADRs this morning for our trip! I was shocked I was able to get BOG at 8:15. For some reason Chef Mickey was harder to get at the right time so I'm at 7:45 right now on arrival day but hoping to move it earlier to 6 or 6:30. I've got TP set up and it alerted twice already but I couldn't get to it in time. :( We may want to add Tusker House or Yak and Yetti but not sure yet. Are those hard to get? Should I add one just in case or is it ok to wait? Other than BOG and the princess meals (and apparently Chef Mickey) I'm not sure what else is difficult to get. Super happy we got everything we wanted though. Thanks!

We make our ADR's this Saturday.:) Here is our list, unless the kids change their minds again.
- Tusker B or L
- Ohana D
- Whispering Canyon D
- CRT D
- Sci Fi D
- Mama Melrose Fantasmic package L or D
- Biergarten D

I know CRT is a 2 credit and the food is just okay but this is DD7 request and I don't know how much longer she will want to see princesses.:sad1: We tried Whispering Canyon last year for the first time and loved it so everyone wanted that one again.:) Biergarten is new for us this trip.

How was it booking 'Ohana? That and CRT are the only ones I am nervous about!

I had no trouble with Ohana for breakfast. Had my choice of times. It was on my last day so 6 days past the 180.
If everyone says Chef Mickey's is so bad, though, why is it so hard to get reservations there?

I don't think Yak and Yetti is hard to add later. I was able to get TH last year a couple of months out from my trip but I wanted a late breakfast not an early one. And this year they will have ROL packages so it might make it harder. I would probably grab one now just in case.

We did CRT for dinner last year and we really enjoyed the experience. Yeah the food is okay but eating in the castle is really cool. My kids enjoyed it.

Thank-you!:) We are trying for 'Ohana dinner some where in the middle of our trip. We had breakfast there a couple of years ago and loved it! I have never tried Chef Mickeys but it does seem to book up fast. Just keep checking people move things around until they have a plan completely figured out. I don't know about Yak and Yetti but Tusker will probably book up fast when ROL packages are released so you might want yo book now just in case. You could always cancel or change it later.

do you guys know what time the system opens up? Today I'm at 190 days, so my math puts me at May 18 for my ADR date? (MDE doesn't give me a countdown either).

Yes May 18th will be your ADR date, that's mine as well. Southwest also opens up that day as well. And now that I just answered that I realized I haven't started my plans yet, yikes. Only 10 days, better get planning. :)

Oh and to answer your question you can book online at 6 am est and by phone at 7 am est.

We did dinner at CRT a few years ago, with 3 boys it's hard to convince everyone to eat with princesses, and we really enjoyed it. The food wasn't earth shattering, but wasn't horrible. Our service though was phenomenal and eating in the castle was this mom as dream come true! Plus, our oldest had a very magical moment singing "A whole New World" with Jasmine. It's a moment neither of us will forget! So the experience for me was worth it!
