OFFICIAL NOVEMBER 2017 THREAD

Would love some advice! Kids are 2.5 and 5.5, I am thinking of booking the Bon Voyage Breakfast on our departure day. Staying at POP, flight will be at about 3pm...which means DME will leave at about noon time, right?

Do you think we're good with like an 8:30am reservation or will I be cutting it close?

You should be fine but I would use uber. I used it last year to get from POP to the Poly and it worked out great.

Worked on my park days and ADR's today
I think my ADR day is May 18

LTT
Rose & Crown
Capt Grill
Chefs de France
Yak & Yeti
Cape May
Teppon Edo
Trattoria al Forno
Resterante Marrakesh

Thanks, my birthday is on the 17th, when is your son's? My daughters birthday is also on the 6th and she will be 20 but unable to come with me.
My youngest DS turns 5 on November 10.:) It looks like you have the same birthday month as your DD! My DD and I both have birthdays in April! I turned 40 last year but couldn't go to WDW for my birthday month so we went in November instead. You picked the perfect spot to turn 40!:teeth:

So tell me your opinions on Magical Express... I heard on the WDW Rideguide podcast that it can take up to 3 hours to get you to your resort, so I was turned off. But then I realized that it's like $60+ each way to take uber from the airport. What's your experience with ME? Is it better to splurge on uber?

We will be at WDW for my youngest birthday on November 10! He will be turning 5 and I am not sure where he wants to eat on his birthday yet. I have to book ADR's in 9 days so I will have to get him to decide soon.:)

Mine turn 8 on the 10th!! How funny! They def want CM and they decided on AK for the park to see Pandora and ROL. I want to get dining package for that but I know those dates won't open up for a while. May just book something as a backup.

We've used it at least 8 times over the last few years and it's never been longer than 45 minutes. They pick you up 3 hours prior to your flight on your way home though.

oh, that sounds much more reasonable!

Exactly this. It's only about 45 minutes to your resort, but on the return trip they have to get you to the airport about 2 hours in advance so they pick you up 3 hours ahead of time.

Longest ever was an hour. Now, your luggage will definitely take longer, and 3 - 5 hours is the usual window. Be sure you've got essentials like meds, glasses, MagicBands, etc., in your carry-on.

The other 3 hour window is the return. You will be assigned a DME that departs 3 hours before your flight. And given what the security lines are like at MCO, that's a very reasonable window!!!

That is funny that they are all on the 10th! My oldest DS has a birthday on the 10th of January and I always thought it was neat that both my boys were born on the 10th of a month and my only girl was born 3 days after my b-day.:) We might be in AK that day too! So far we were thinking of Tusker for his birthday because he liked it last time. I think we might just book an ADR at Tusker and try to switch it to a ROL package later. I told the kids and DH we have to get the schedule figured out this weekend because we have to book ADR's on the 13th.:scared: My DH doesn't like the planning so it will be me and the kiddos figuring out the schedule.:)

I think it just depends on the time of year. We decided to drive this time, because we didn't want to deal with airports during Thanksgiving. We never had ME take 3 hours, though.

First trip as a family of four Nov. 26 - Dec. 2! Trying to decide if an extra day is worth it or if the crows in the park will be nuts on Sunday! I think I have our ADRs narrowed down:

1900 Park Fare - Dinner on arrival day
Trattoria al Forno - Breakfast on departure day
Tusker House - Lunch
Hollywood and Vine - Dinner
Be Our Guest - Dinner
Rose and Crown - Lunch

Breakfast on departure day might be a little risky but I figure it is the best bet to get the Bon Voyage!
same exact time for our trip too!
finalizing our dining now too!

Booked our ADRs this morning! Was able to get everything I wanted except Tiffins on day 8, which I thought was weird. We got BOG, 'Ohana, PPO Hollywood & Vine and Chef Mickey's! Those were the important ones! Woo hoo! Good luck to everyone else making reservations soon!

EDIT: I just called Disney and was able to book 2 sep. tables (one for 5 and one for 6) at the perfect time! I have no idea if they will be able to seat us near each other but we'll try!

We book in 3 weeks . . . how were you able to book without the park hours and EMH released? We can't even really plan yet because we are basing most of our meals on EMH days and also want to book some meals at our resort, but need to know park closing times. We can't find Nov. hours posted . . . we go Nov 25 - Dec 9. We were also hoping CandleLight Processional narrators would be released, so we can set up a Dining Pkg.

We don't really worry EMH or closing times. We work things around our dining that we want. Good luck and have fun! :)
