***Official November 2014 thread***

So I've never had the luxury of booking at 180+10 as we have never planned this far in advance. I think I was at about 160 last time.
My question is -- does the online system just realize you are a resort guest and let you choose a day that is +10? Or do I have to do something special to get it to work? Also, I have a RO reservation for one night and then a package. Will I be able to book my 180 + 10 based off the RO, or will it realize that is only for one night and not let me work in the +10?

You will have to call to get +10 for a split stay. The online system will only allow that first night. I have this issue too. Also. I am reading lots of rumblings of phone CMs not allowing this at all so, if a CMs says no, hang up and call back. Luckily, it will only affect you for one day!

As long as you log in with the email that you used to book your reservations, it should automatically link but, if it doesn't (Disney's site being the unreliable thing it is), you have the option to manually link your reservation number under my Disney experience on the website or the app.

The CM I talked to tonight when I changed our park tickets said the same thing. I'd hate to lose a day when trying to get some of the hot reservations but don't want to deal with cranky CMs either.

We will be coming nov1 thru nov 8.First time coming in the fall. What should I expect the weather to be and how crowded is it? Thanks

I am an overpacker to begin with, so I bring everything from shorts and tank tops to jeans and long sleeves. And often I wore both the same day. :) I was usually comfortable in jeans and t-shirts with a jacket at night, but my DH usually changed to shorts mid day. I find the indoor rides too cool for me with the a/c. I don't plan my final packing until the 10 day forecast is in view as it can vary so much.

Just curious about what the CM said exactly...that you had to call? Or that CMs might refuse you? I am bummed about this truly. I had no issues with this for my trip last October and I don't understand why, when MDE clearly shows that I will be their captive audience for 11 days (lol) and I am throwing money at them with PAID DxDDP, they might refuse my ability to book + 10.

Weatherunderground.com has a really cool trip planner where it will give you the actual weather data for your particular set of dates. For my dates in the middle of the month, the temps are remarkably stable with typical highs of 78-80.

We were at WDW at the very end of October last year, early November crowd levels are similar. Not light, but not heavy. Crowd levels 4, 5 and 6 mostly. Avoid Epcot on the weekend if you want to avoid crowds.

She just said since the RO was only one night, it would not let me make the +10. Someone else who answered my question said some CMs are refusing to allow that reservation to book +10.
I might try once anyway. I will be up that early for work anyway so it might be worth a try. I totally agree that with both my reservations, it should be allowed. I can see how some night book a RO for one night, make their ADRs, cancel the Room and then stay offsite though. But my intentions are clear.

I had the same problem with my split stay and the CM refused to let me book the latter part of my split (even though it now fell within the 180 +10 time frame). I'm going to try again soon. Hopefully I get a CM that will do it for me.

I got a pin in my email last night that offered free dining, and POR was included! I didn't see it until 11:00, so I called first thing this morning. I was able to switch our three rooms at POP(booked through DV offer) to two rooms at POR with free dining for more days and at a lower cost! Now we are staying 11/29-12/1 at Port Orleans Riverside!

My day is tomorrow. DH and I plan to tag team, both calling, and hope we get someone who will do it even if we have to call a few times. I just have too many desirable ADRs on my wishlist and we are only a party of two so there are fewer openings from the start. Great start to Mother's Day, LOL. I will let you know if I have success.

Most CMs think they can't, but if you ask nicely most will check for you and see if they can....

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

That is my plan, to ask nicely. :). As I said on FB, I think it is a training issue. Disney clearly tells its employees to say it isn't possible rather than admit they don't know how to do something (see, as another example, upgrading tickets at guest relations).

Happy Mothers Day, and then more importantly ;), how did the ADRs go?
